I have a Dasaita PX6 head unit in my 2017 WRX, and the mic is picking up a ton of background noise, from what people on the other line tell me. I tried several mic apps and a 3.5mm wired mic but it still doesn't change the quality. I had this issue in my other aftermarket AA/CP head unit in my VW and assumed it was just because it was non-OEM. But after I did some research, I saw that people said that they had no issues with their mics in the PX6 series... Can someone give me any advice or directions?

I do have Xtrons PQS81UNV unit (PX6, Android 11, MTCH_GS_V3.80_3) and I bought external mic for it. I do not see any improvement when I connect external mic, so I do not use it at all. Internal unit mic is so good that I just wasted money on external 3.5mm mic.
I've tried using the internal mic on the face of the headunit, but it still sounds terrible...

As per hundreds of posts on this, disconnect internal.

Hi there,
I'm trying to install one of the Dasaita PX5 headunits in my new QASHQAI and I've hit a snag. Two of the connectors on the wiring harness included with the unit are identical, but have very different wires coming out of them. I assume they are dependant in your cars factory setup, but since my unit didn't come with any sort of instructions I'm at a loss as to what they are.
My car has the small colour LCD from factory, with a factory rear camera (not the 360 camera) and front/rear parking sensors. Standard manual AC controls (not dual climate).
Any guidance would be appreciated!
I would assume that the "Low Plug" is for cars with low a equipment variant (as you can tell from the cables going into the connector already) and the other one is for cars with a more stuff.
So as of your cars description I would say go with the medium one and test it out.
Yep, I had a better look at the existing wiring loom today and the wires matched pretty well.
Decided to give it a try and it works brilliantly!
Factory rear camera and steering wheel controls all work, and I swear the audio quality using on board apps is better than the factory unit.
Hello, is it an android 8.0 unit ? If yes, does bluetooth works ?
This unit runs Android 6.0. There are 8.0 upgrade guides floating around but I honestly haven’t had the time or inclination to try it, the unit is working really well as is.
Bluetooth phone calls work great.
Bluetooth audio streaming works but I’ve used it maybe once briefly (I do all music and streaming directly on the headunit) so I cant really comment on how well audio works.
Ok thanks, I'm considering byuing a dasaita but I heard bluetooth doesn't work with android 8.0 units !

Hi, I have Android 8 unit since 4 months and bluetooth works fine. I use bluetooth for phone calls, for audio I use Spotify from unit app.

hi mitchello,
I have the same car radio model, I have a question about the cable connection for the rear camera, I have a yellow cable from the power cable called cvbs, and two yellow cables on the camera aux cable, one says Aux Video In and the other Cam VIN, to which should I connect the Cvbs cable?
?

Have you connected the reverse trigger wire? I *think* its pink in color.. or blue. You'll probably have to splice it. This trigger is connected to your reverse gear, so that when you are in reverse, the screen will switch to camera.

Hey mate, I'd have to pull out my unit to check, but I'd expect you connect it to the CAM IN connector. The White/Red RCAs should be for the AUX input in the armrest, and the yellow RCA for the camera.
I assume you have a factory camera yes? With it all connected my factory camera automatically flicks on when in reverse (even if the unit is still booting).

I'm really drawn to this head unit for my 2017 Rogue SL AWD. My current non-Android Auto/Car play unit is basically just a bluetooth steamer. The built-in maps are so slow, outdated, cumbersome and without helpful traffic info that I simply use Google maps. This new unit looks sharp and allows full functionality without paying Nissan that crazy monthly fee.
I'm in 100% if I can more or less just do a swap out.

I bought mine from Ali Express ( Dasaita 10.2 - PX6 Android 9 ) and shipped to Australia in 5 days, I couldn't be more happier with the head unit.
All the Qashqai functions operate including the 360 all round camera, TPMS, Android auto and Carplay.

I have dasaita px6 installed on my Qashqai as well

Installed external MIC under the steering wheel but still voice is far
Hi all, i have Nissan Qashqai 2018 and i just few days ago i got my Dasaita PX5. Everything looks fine and work very well, but I am little bit concerned about noise which is coming out from device. Every time when I accelerate I am getting some kind of whistling noise coming out from device. Noise sometimes disappears but than come back again and started to be very noise. I tested and its coming from screen device, only disappears when I unplug the big black plug (which I think it is a main electrical socket or power supply because without that is not working). Do you guys have any similar issues before? Do you have any suggestions how to fix same one?
Second question is regarding to the SWC option. I connected everything how they did suggest but still is not working. I did choose proper settings on display and still nothing changed. I tried to contact support but until today no answer.
All help is more than welcome

Had the HU for over a year now and it's faultless, everything just works i.e Factory Park Assist, 360 all round camera, GPS,DAB+.
Also I have the Carlinkit Carplay USB dongle which for me works every time with no issues where others have issues with inbuilt Carplay HU using ZLink.
Hi Guys,
I am pretty familiar with these HUs. However, I have a question that I don't know if there is a definitive answer to.
Question: Is there a PX5, 4 GB RAM, 8 CPU cores, Android Oreo headunit that has good Bluetooth call quality and has mic working outside the Bluetooth app flawlessly?
- I have seen some HUs with exceptional call quality (XRC MCU with BT chip SD-968 for e.g.) but the mic would not work outside the Bluetooth app
- I have seen some HUs with mic working outside Bluetooth app but has terrible Bluetooth call quality (HUs with BT chip MD 725 for e.g.)
What I am looking for is the MCU, Bluetooth Chip combination that gives the expected result. Of course the latest HUs with PX5 board, 4GB RAM, 8 CPU cores and Android Oreo OS
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Rahul U S
They don't exist in hassle-free quality.
BT audio quality in my experience isn't at the same level of branded or OEM.

Yeah, that is what I understood from various threads in the forum as well. Mine is the XRC MTCD/E unit with BT chip SD-968 and I have to say that the Bluetooth call quality is fine; but then mic doesn't work outside BT app.
@twist has purchased a new PX5 unit and he was telling that the BT call quality was "good".

The sd968 on the HA unit I installed for a friend appeared to have acceptable audio with a quality external [mic] fitted. It had a proper onboard mic input that actually disabled the internal - without mods. Other end reported no echo while maps was navigating. My
This isn't an endorsement for any particular product., Just sharing some experience. At least HA share regular updates from HCT and on the other hand haven't progressed fixing bugs such as A2dp or BT issues - despite change logs.

I have a head unit which has latest Witson mcu(mx 3.08) (with latest malaysk rom)(BluetoothWirelessChip is MD725). When dealer setup this headunit into my car they installed an external mic to top of the car. Problem is headunit always uses internal mic. Google voice search is working perfectly but with bluetooth calls my sound is bad.
I don't want to dissamble headunit. Is there anything I can try to make external mic work with software? (should i try different mcu's, firmwares, factory settings?, modifications). Because it's really hard to dissamble headunit from car..

I have the same problem in a Dasaita PX-5 (MTC-D) unit. Just discovered it a few days ago. I saw in another post somebody claiming that the main problem is that plugging and external mic on the jack does not disables the internal mic (they're in a parallel configuration rather than serial with the mic female jack disconnecting the electrical path of the other mic when something is plugged in). Also, the post stated that the electrical path between the mic and the first chip (Bluetooth?) using the mic signal was long enough to act as an "antenna". If all this is right, I don't think it can be solved with SW settings.
I'm planning to disassemble the unit in a few days as anyways I need to fix other connections and will report back here what I find and if I manage to improve the mic quality on voice calls.

Well, after inspecting the unit, I can confirm that at least the Dasaita ones DO disconnect the internal mic when connecting an external one. But seems that audio quality on calls is a widespread issue. Will keep on checking, but things seem to point to the on-board Bluetooth Chip and some people claims "some" external USB Bluetooth dongles are compatible.

Have you tried this? Does it work? Noticed my rear (external) mic isn't working too. MCU version 3.3
Any update on this one, I am connecting external MIC on dasaita max6 px6 and feeling that internal is still enabled ?
also what is the best location to put the external mic to ave best sound from driver's mouth ?
Hello, i have the same problem with my external microphone on my Dasaita PX6 MAX6.
First of all i should say it was very rough ride even to get my unit. They put ridiculous discount on aliexpress to hook up people to order, then they say "uh-oh sorry but overseas warehouse are empty, please cancel your order" so then you check again and see that there are still units available but the price now is x2 suddenly and surprisingly!
When i told them 'no, i will not cancel the order, i need the unit' - they started to slowly reply on my messages with murky and unclear answers going days and days until finally i put them to the wall and send it to my address in another country.
Their english speaking i think is very bad on purpose.
Second of all - now this problem with the external mic.
Ever since i installed this HU (around 2 months maybe) my friends complain they hear me very bad while talking on the phone. It was just the other week that i got the time to investigate and lo and behold even when the external mic is plugged in - the internal built-in one is still active. I tried 10 times unplugging and plugging, restarting etc but no - still the internal is active.
Knowing the aliexpress-Dasaita are very bad at communicating i contacted facebook-Dasaita. They told me to install the latest firmware - which i did, and nothing changes. Then they told me to contact Dasaita on aliexpress.
I contacted Dasaita aliexperss explaining what i did and the answer is basically: install latest firmware. If it does not work - use the built-in mic.
What the F!>.... Dasaita... Didn't you F-in understand that the internal mic is $h!7? And you sold me problematic unit? ...
https://imgur.com/C8jsu6r
Obviously i will avoid them in the future. They are tricky and deceitful, lie and hide on pretty much every step and run away from their problems, and just trow in some "solution" just because something should be answered... And until someone puts their balls to the wall they will do that...
Now, if anyone else from here can advice how to fix this if he had already fixed his one, please do it will be very much apppreciated.
Thank you
Previously discussed, disconnect internal mic hardware. Have a search for more - detailed info, also MTCB section where this issue was more common.
Agree with comments regarding how Chinese sellers operate on AliExpress, they all seem to be the same. Would be good if they were mandated to honour purchaser local consumer laws.

Just disconnecting internal mic and adding external mic through mic jack is enough to make external mic work?
After a read thru forums, you could post what you find and ask clarifying questions. Just a suggestion.
Is there a way how to exactly check internal/external mic quality? Or identify which one is in use? I have bought external mic for XTrons PX6 Android 11, MTCH. If I plug mic in, I see no difference. Sound quality is quite good anyway so I am not sure if install external mic I already payed for.

What has been considered after a searching and reading forums, there is a lot of information covering this issue.
Hello,
I purchased a used Seicane unit that has no volume out of speaker wires. I bench tested this and also tested in the vehicle trying many different MCU's and ROM's and no luck. Sound is playing just find out of the RCA jacks to an amplifier. I have since upgraded the unit from a PX3 to a PX5 with Android 9 from Witson. Unfortunately, I updated the MCU to 3.14 before I read that you cannot go backwards to the 2.# series. I was wondering if there maybe a setting I can change that would affect this? TIA
Send it back! What did the reseller suggest when contacted for support?
Have the same problem, but I have builded in amp for rear speakers in my car. So at least have some sound, will buy external amp anyway. Px6 android9
Hello I installed the newest sygav unit in my car which i think is the same as the dasaita unit and i just anted to know if anyone else had these issues and or might have solutions i'm currently on the android 10 firmware
-There is static coming out of what seems to be my right dash tweeter
-After an update i feel like my wireless carplay connection is a little slower than before and just overall just a little more laggy than previously (animations don't seem as smooth)
- my rear speakers simply just do not work anymore after installing the headunit which doesn't make sense to me because from what i know in my XLE RAV4 the audio is just one connector for all the speakers since i don't have the JBL upgrade with an AMP
Sell it and get a real carplay unit?

The dasaita and sygav isn't a carplay unit, it's hacked Android running a Chinese knock off carplay emulator app 'zlink'. Search for that app to read about how buggy it is.
If you are looking for real, certified, carplay, an example is Sony XAV-AX1000.
I don't get why people buy these Android head units only to want to screen send from their mobile device, when the idea of having an Android head unit it to load apps onto it and use that as primary vehicle device.
