Hi there,
I'm trying to install one of the Dasaita PX5 headunits in my new QASHQAI and I've hit a snag. Two of the connectors on the wiring harness included with the unit are identical, but have very different wires coming out of them. I assume they are dependant in your cars factory setup, but since my unit didn't come with any sort of instructions I'm at a loss as to what they are.
My car has the small colour LCD from factory, with a factory rear camera (not the 360 camera) and front/rear parking sensors. Standard manual AC controls (not dual climate).
Any guidance would be appreciated!
I would assume that the "Low Plug" is for cars with low a equipment variant (as you can tell from the cables going into the connector already) and the other one is for cars with a more stuff.
So as of your cars description I would say go with the medium one and test it out.
Yep, I had a better look at the existing wiring loom today and the wires matched pretty well.
Decided to give it a try and it works brilliantly!
Factory rear camera and steering wheel controls all work, and I swear the audio quality using on board apps is better than the factory unit.
Hello, is it an android 8.0 unit ? If yes, does bluetooth works ?
This unit runs Android 6.0. There are 8.0 upgrade guides floating around but I honestly haven’t had the time or inclination to try it, the unit is working really well as is.
Bluetooth phone calls work great.
Bluetooth audio streaming works but I’ve used it maybe once briefly (I do all music and streaming directly on the headunit) so I cant really comment on how well audio works.
Ok thanks, I'm considering byuing a dasaita but I heard bluetooth doesn't work with android 8.0 units !

Hi, I have Android 8 unit since 4 months and bluetooth works fine. I use bluetooth for phone calls, for audio I use Spotify from unit app.

Have you connected the reverse trigger wire? I *think* its pink in color.. or blue. You'll probably have to splice it. This trigger is connected to your reverse gear, so that when you are in reverse, the screen will switch to camera.

Hey mate, I'd have to pull out my unit to check, but I'd expect you connect it to the CAM IN connector. The White/Red RCAs should be for the AUX input in the armrest, and the yellow RCA for the camera.
I assume you have a factory camera yes? With it all connected my factory camera automatically flicks on when in reverse (even if the unit is still booting).

I'm really drawn to this head unit for my 2017 Rogue SL AWD. My current non-Android Auto/Car play unit is basically just a bluetooth steamer. The built-in maps are so slow, outdated, cumbersome and without helpful traffic info that I simply use Google maps. This new unit looks sharp and allows full functionality without paying Nissan that crazy monthly fee.
I'm in 100% if I can more or less just do a swap out.

I bought mine from Ali Express ( Dasaita 10.2 - PX6 Android 9 ) and shipped to Australia in 5 days, I couldn't be more happier with the head unit.
All the Qashqai functions operate including the 360 all round camera, TPMS, Android auto and Carplay.
Hello All
I have dasaita px6 installed on my Qashqai as well
I want to know external MIC location best place as the built-in MIC was good initially then it became poor
Installed external MIC under the steering wheel but still voice is far
Hi all, i have Nissan Qashqai 2018 and i just few days ago i got my Dasaita PX5. Everything looks fine and work very well, but I am little bit concerned about noise which is coming out from device. Every time when I accelerate I am getting some kind of whistling noise coming out from device. Noise sometimes disappears but than come back again and started to be very noise. I tested and its coming from screen device, only disappears when I unplug the big black plug (which I think it is a main electrical socket or power supply because without that is not working). Do you guys have any similar issues before? Do you have any suggestions how to fix same one?
Second question is regarding to the SWC option. I connected everything how they did suggest but still is not working. I did choose proper settings on display and still nothing changed. I tried to contact support but until today no answer.
All help is more than welcome

Had the HU for over a year now and it's faultless, everything just works i.e Factory Park Assist, 360 all round camera, GPS,DAB+.
Also I have the Carlinkit Carplay USB dongle which for me works every time with no issues where others have issues with inbuilt Carplay HU using ZLink.

Hi there guys.
I just bought a piece of Eonon GA8157 from Eonon. After the install, i got a few small issues (or big, depending on my mood ). Although the biggest of them is that my rear amplifier, that amplifies the subwoofer and the rear speakers isn't working, i have no ideea why, because i have alot of cables, and they were just plug and play.
My problem is the internet. I have two modems along with sim cards inserted. One is ZTE MF667 and the other is ZTE K3565-Z. None of them works. I don't know if there is a list of supported modems, but i thought that they were just plug and play.
From what i understand, i can however make these work if i root my device. I'm great at rooting mobile devices, but i don't want to ruin something to this head unit because it seems hard to modify something.
So, that is the question. Can i root this head unit, or install another firmware, or something to make this usb modems work?
If not, can you recomend me another modem? this unit is dead without internet connection, and i don't want to drain my phone battery by hotspotting it.
Operation System Android 7.1
CPU Processor RK3188 1.6GHz Cortex A9 Quad-Core
RAM SAMSUNG DDR3, 2GB
Memory 16 GB
Based on what i read, i guess that my device is PX3.
Thank you, in advance!
Alin.
I have a 2007 A4 with a MTCD_XRC head unit and I also have the rear amp, but I notice that the rear speakers are much lower then the fronts. I bought a line level converter and was messing with that and a ground loop isolator to get rid of the engine noise. But I have noticed after messing with it, even without ANY rca cables plugged in I still get audio out haha. I have looked at the wiring and I believe what needs to happen to make things totally correct is you need to rewire the back rca cables to go through the converter and completely bypass the rear amp as the head unit has enough juice to power all of the speakers. I also noticed after messing with things that I no longer needed the isolator on any of the speakers and I just moved the center to the rear a few click and it seems to level things out for the time being.
I've messed with a Huewei Cricket USB 4g dealio here and I was able to kind of get it working by using the PPP widget, but I was not getting connected, but the lights were changing so I am pretty sure its working, it just needs some fine tuning (I have project fi as my service provider)
I can try to help ya out if you need a hand, but I if you look further into some of the stuff I have mentioned I think you can figure it out.
Hi, thank you for your comment!
I was thinking at the same ideea yesterday. The amplifier from the unit is very powerfull, much powerfull than the audi one. My front speakers are more powerfull than ever, yet, my back speakers aren't.
My ideea was to rewire the back speakers to the back of the head unit, and connect them in line, but i have no ideea how the subwoofer works. I didn't saw any wires for it. Maybe he's connected in line with the rear speakers?

The built in sub runs off of the rear amp as well. I disconnected and removed that a long time ago and I have a box in my trunk with 2 x 12 inch subs and a separate amp in the back left (It used to be mounted on the back side in the truck of a rear seat). And now with the android unit I ran a dedicated RCA from the back to the trunk for my external amp, I used to run it off of the line outs I tapped into on the rear stock amp.
So if you just wire to the rear speakers directly you should be good.
Thank you!
That was exactly what the chinese guys from eonon said today.
Rewire the cables and i should be good.
I will try this and see if it works along with the sub.
If not, i will rip all the wires, rewire the rear speakers directly to the head unit and buy an aftermarket active subwoofer, and connect it to the sub RCA of the unit.
End of story

Does anyone have a better or updated app for the built in PX5 TPMS feature/software? I'm running a newly purchased 4/32gb octacore px5 (branded XTRONS 9" Octa-Core Android 8.0 Car Head Unit GPS Stereo DAB+ 4G for BMW E46 M3) with a 9in screen running Android 8.
I've just installed the internal replacement valve TPMS sensors on mine and the TPMS module itself. Having issues with reception (2 out of 4 sensors reading) and the box that's installed, but apparently it doesn't want to be near other electrics so I will move it up the dash towards the vents to fix that as I believe it's a radio reception issue.
The app seems to lack functionality though, I can't see how to pair a new sensor, say for example a spare wheel addition or replacing a wheel. The app also seems to forget it I swap the sensor positions (front and rear right sensors were put on the wrong rims by the tyre shop), I have swapped the front to the rear and after a fresh startup of the head unit after parking the car it's then forgotten that I swapped sensor positions.
Does anyone have a better version of the APK at all?
Is it a USB TPMS unit or does it connect directly to one of the connectors on the back of the radio?
If it is directly connected, try going into Factory Settings and change the TPMS type. Each type runs a different app and some are better than others.
If it is a USB unit, I have a few apks that came with my generic unit that might prove helpful.

Got the same issues with one of the sensors being a replacement and not detected by the box.
Has anyone figured out how reprogram it so it accepts the new sensor?
That learning feature when you press the button in the app doesn't seem to do anything - it just fails after some waiting.
The sensors have an unique id code written on them? Does the code need to be entered in some config file?
Hi yes it is a common problem for me but when the vehicle is moving the sensor reads fine

Hello I installed the newest sygav unit in my car which i think is the same as the dasaita unit and i just anted to know if anyone else had these issues and or might have solutions i'm currently on the android 10 firmware
-There is static coming out of what seems to be my right dash tweeter
-After an update i feel like my wireless carplay connection is a little slower than before and just overall just a little more laggy than previously (animations don't seem as smooth)
- my rear speakers simply just do not work anymore after installing the headunit which doesn't make sense to me because from what i know in my XLE RAV4 the audio is just one connector for all the speakers since i don't have the JBL upgrade with an AMP
Sell it and get a real carplay unit?
carplay unit?

The dasaita and sygav isn't a carplay unit, it's hacked Android running a Chinese knock off carplay emulator app 'zlink'. Search for that app to read about how buggy it is.
If you are looking for real, certified, carplay, an example is Sony XAV-AX1000.
I don't get why people buy these Android head units only to want to screen send from their mobile device, when the idea of having an Android head unit it to load apps onto it and use that as primary vehicle device.
Hello, I purchased an Xtrons PQS1139BL and it's been a toxic relationship. I love the features but its very buggy. Xtrons says there are no updates for this unit and I think they are tired of dealing with me.
This is my bug list.
Every electrical noise came out the speakers such as alternator whine, the idle are control valve on the engine, turning the headlighs on and off causes a pop. The solution so far has been Xtrons sent me a filter that removed 75% of the noise but my wife still could not stand riding in the car so I gutted the factory BMW DSP and added my own 4CH amp the is ran off of the RCA cables and that resolved 99% of the noise. But this unit only has front RCA out so now I lost fader control.
Unit lockups about 1 to 2 minutes after starting the car the UI will freeze and what is on the screen will stay but the steering wheel controls will still continue to beep when pressed eventually the screen will turn black and the steering wheel controls will stop beeping then sometimes the unit will reboot and come back and other times I need to restart the car at a red light or pull over and restart. My wife pointed out that it mostly happens after I reverse which lead me to this forum and as an experiment I cut the reverse input to the headunit and now the lockups after starting the car went from 50% to 5% but now I lost my backup camera. One thing to add is that once the unit is up and running it works fine so I don't think it's a heat issue.
Wireless carplay, the unit came with an app called multiplay and half of the time it would say "MFI chip not found". So Xtron's sent me USB adapter that uses an app called autokit and that works okay but my phone shows that it's charging but it's actually loosing a charge so I bought a USB Y adapter to add power from a cigarette lighter plug.
The versions that my unit shows is
Model PX6
Android 10
Build number rk3399-userdebug 10 qq2a.200305.004.a1 eng.hct2.20210630.152440 test-keys
Kernel version 4.19.111+
#131 Thurs Jun 24 2021
MCU version MTCH_GS_V3.78_3
May 31 2021
Is there any hope for this? Can i update it? Can I wipe and reload it? Can I pull logs off of this? I'm about over it.

Hi,
I'm looking for new android device as replacement for my Bosch stock nav in Suzuki Vitara 2018 GLX. I'm looking at Teyes CC3 or Mekede M500S. I do have few prerequisites
must have options
- compatibility with stock rear camera
- compatibility with steering wheel commands
- compatibility with stock microphone
- compatibility with stock USB ports
nice to have options
- compatibility with stock GPS module (maybe by using FAKRA adapter?)
So far all info I got for M500S is that it cannot use stock rear camera. Is it true? Can it be done with some adapters?
Thank you.

My Mekede M500s does all 4 of those (oem mic, usb, swc and oem reverse camera on my Kia Sportage.
It just depends on your cars camera, and whether the reseller supplies the necessary adapters.
For example with my car I had to add 2 terminals to the wiring Mekede sent me in order to get the oem mic working.
The head unit was capable of all 4 options you want but the wiring sent to me only supported 3 of the 4.
Look in to your cars camera, what format the video is, what connector it uses, and see if you can find a seller offering a cable to connect the camera just in case 1 doesn't come with the unit.

Thank you. I decided to go with Mekede and I bought adapter cable for rev camera. It should all arrive in 2 weeks so I will know than if that was a good choice .
Today I got my stock radio out so I can note all connectors and maybe map them with M500S ones.
Here is a picture of stock Vitara Bosch head unit with description for each connector
GPS - you need FAKRA to SMA adapter
ANT - provided with M500S radio
DAB - you need to buy USB DAB device and FAKRA to SMA adapter (antenna you get with USB radio is not needed)
AUX - not used
MIC - this will be an issue since M500S doesn't have any connector for using stock mic in roof
CAM - you need extra adapter so you can use your stock camera with M500S
USB - compatible with M500S connector + you will get 2 extra USB connectors you can use
H BRAKE - not used on M500S, on stock one you need it to set up AA or mirrorlink
ISO/MAIN - speakers, power, etc.
So only one issue remains and that is how to use stock mics. This is all theoretical for now because I'm still waiting for unit and adapters.
Br.
So device came and of course there are issues.
- USB OEM cable is NOT compatible with M500S port for one USB
- I cant get reverse camera to work. I even bought THIS cable but any way I connect it it doesn't work as it should. I either have revers picture all the time or I don't have it at all.
If anyone can help with camera I would appreciate it. M500S reverse cable has 3 wires labeled "IR", "BRAKE" and "12V CAMERA". Main ISO plug has one purple labeled "BACK". If I connect purple, red and blue from adapter I have picture from camera all the time (shift in any position, neutral, drive, reverese). If I connect only red and purple same thing but with black screen and guidelines.

The camera should be fairly simple to fault find but the wiring depends on whether you are using a canbus or not.
Answer that and someone will help with connecting the camera properly.
No canbus is used nor it is need for Vitara as I was told.
I'm guessing purple REV wire should get power once I put it in reverse and switch screen to backup camera. I measured voltage on blue wire from adapter and there is no voltage while in reverse.
Solved it! Reverse signal 12V was coming from HANDBRAKE connector. I added extra wire from that pin to purple and blue wires and everthing works.

Cable arrived and works like a charm. So far I managed to get almost all parts in Vitara to work with Mekede unit except external OEM mic. It will take some testing and soldering.
