Hello everyone,
I tried today pay with my watch, be watch pop up window with message like: "your watch does not meet software standards, so it cannot be used for contactless payments".
I tried add another card with in phone google pay show me that "failed to complete setup for in-store payments".
A few days ago everything worked fine.
Has anyone encountered this problem?
Thanks
Yep, in the last few days as well, I tried resetting send removing my account from the watch and re adding, glad it's not just me though and of a larger problem
So I tried also factory reset. After that I am not able to add card do you have same beta app? Like Google?
the issue is with samsung pay or google pay ?
Google pay
Not working for me anymore either. Probably stopped working Monday or Tuesday.
Does anyone have a fix
Ok maybe I found the way how to fix it:
1. Uninstall Samsung health, wear app, plugin, Google pay
2. Reset watch
3. Install apps (Samsung health, Google pay, wear app, plugin)
4. Pair watch with phone
Did it work then I mean paying in a shop with the watch?
Yes, right now tested and worked, finally

They need to get there stuff together. We should not be having to basically fully restore our watches for a functional GPay that worked flawlessly a week plus ago
Yes, it s make sence. In my case (Huawei phone), must restore watch

It worked a treat for me, thanks very much, the tick that you get when the payment goes through looks different now, don't know if it was a server side update or something
Hi guys! I'm having a new issue. Had non-working google pay, did all the steps you recommended. Unfortunately, while adding a card on my phone I'm getting the error attached below. As an addition, I also did try to uninstall all of the updates of google play services and reinstalling them. Did not help unfortunately

Did u do all steps? Uninstall wear, plugin, Samsung health, Google pay? Reset watch to factory? Install again application? Do zou have some beta Google app?
I did all the steps (Could only uninstall google Pay updates since it is my system app). I do have Google app as beta, but I can't see how it would be connected to Pay or Google Play services (which is used to add the card to google pay)

Any fix for this available? Unistalling and installing again Google Pay doesn't and it was also not fixed with the latest firmware update.
Same for me. I'm now using Samsung pay -- that still works.

It would be nice if you can 'create' your own remote model and then 'learn' the IR right from the original remote. Just need to wait for more apps to be developed.
I use a 3rd party app for my remote control on my Note 3, but having the remote just on my wrist is super handy. For my wrist, all I need it to do is power my projector on/off, switch sources on my receiver, and control my XBMC and other media playback on my HTPC.
I'd like the option to add multiple TV's instead of just one. This is on my wish list of things to tinker with if I can get the dang SDK to function.
A menu button is desperately needed as well. You can't check sky channels properly with only channel up and down.

Anybody can upload installable file(may be .wgt) for this WatchON app?
People like us with non-samsung phones don't have Samsung Apps and cannot update or install new apps.
Thanks.

Yes please! upload whatever you guys can because we non sammie phone users dont have access to samsung apps so we cant download the apps
If anyone knows how to get samsung apps apk to work on non samsung phones, let us know!
I got as far as to install the apk and have it show as a tab in gear manager but no luck beyond that
Edit: changing brand and manufacturer to Samsung and model to GT-I9500 in build.prop lets me open samsung apps and download them to my gear!!! woohoo!
Wont work with either my vizo or shar big screens. Does work with directv but need tv
I went to Gear Manager -> Samsung Apps
I cant find WatchON there

Same problem here! I run stock ROM on GT-I9300 and there is no WatchON in Samsung Apps (launched from Gear Manager or app drawer, doesn't matter) or Play Store (didn't expect to find it here, but I looked anyways). Force checking for updates shows nothing.
Is there a way to download the new APK? Or should I just be patient?
EDIT 20140507:
I got it today! I just had to be a bit patient. Apparently new updates aren't rolled out for everyone at the same time.
It can be found in Utilities in Samsung Apps in the Gear Manager.
Today a new update is available, v1.2.4:

WTF? The update just adds the ability to control air conditioners?
How about the ability to add my surround sound receiver already? The only thing I can do with this is turn on/off my projector. I'd like to be able to at least control volume and switch sources. Smartwatches are usually purchased by early adopters that have a little more sophisticated setups - which means we have home theaters with separate receivers that need controlling not just the TV and STB.
who has the previous version ? In de previous version My airco was listed (fujitsu). It worked perfectly ! In the version 1.2.4 it isn't listed anymore ! Can somebody send me a link where ik can find it !
Good day! Tell me, what sets the APK on the phone when you upgrade WatchON? I can not update the version on the clock ... In Gear Manager instead of [Update] - select [Open]
Hi,
i need your help!
I'm using android pay in Germany. Because it's not officially I had to create a account Bank account in Ireland.
Now I bought a huawai watch 2, in hope I can use android pay with my watch.
My problem is, that I can't find the android pay on my watch. On German play store android pay is not available.
How I can install the app on my watch?
(Sorry for my bad english)
I have app in app list of installed app in my mobile. I installed by watch. But now I must change my bank.
I live in Sweden and still no android pay here. Only Samsung Pay and Apple pay so far...
Managed to get it on my watch, but unfortunately I just applied for a KBC Account so it'll take a while until I can report you about my findings.
I've got it after forcing my watch to use my phones internet connection which was connected via vpn.

Google Pay comes already preinstalled on the Watch 2 but it's disabled by default outside of selected countries.
To enable it, you need to create a second Google account on your phone with a billing address in e.g. the UK.
Once that's done, use the wearOS app to copy your new Google account onto the watch.
Then, on your watch, open Google Play, swipe down and select your UK account from the menu. Now search for Google Pay and enable the app.
The app will appear in the menu and you can bind it to the secondary key if you want. Make sure to use your real account in Google Pay to add your cards so the bank doesn't decline due to a wrong address.
Do i need to keep the active account on UK? Or does google pay disable if a switch to my own account?
You need to keep it on your watch but you can continue to use your regular account instead.
There is no way around for this?
I already have a us account on my watch and the app works ok but every time i need it i have to enable it again. This is very absurd.
There is no apk modification to prevent it to disable or something?
Google pay on the watch was disabled in Ireland some time ago as it was never officially available. The workaround i've been using is to install "Pay Enabler" from the app store and set the hardware button on the watch to launch it, works well enough.

To use Google Pay on your watch, you need to:
Be in the US, UK, Italy, Spain, Australia, Canada, Poland, Russia, or Germany.
Use a supported watch. Google Pay is already installed on supported watches. To see if your device is supported, check the list of apps on your watch.
Use a supported card.

Hey enable core mode on magisk along with magisk hide. It has been working normally since then for me.
Had the same in Beta 13, uninstalled 18.1 and flashed 17.3.
Working fine just made a touch payment in a store, only issue is reminder before updating Magisk every so often
I was having this issue. Went away when I flashed the latest Blu spark and reinstalled magisk and ex kernel. No idea what was causing it though.
This is from jarlPenguin from this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/discussion-google-pay-magisk-discussion-t3906703.
All I had to do is downgrade to 14.7.9 Google Play services and just went back into each card that was already added to Google pay and cards were activated for in store purchases properly
The new Google Play services update caused this.
Temporary workaround:
1. Disable Google Pay/Find My Device as Device Administrators in Settings > Security & location > Device Administrators.
2. Search "Google Play services" in the Settings search bar.
3. Press the three dots and press "Uninstall previous updates".
4. Download this update - https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...-7-99-release/
Pick your needed edition (arm or arm64, etc.), download it and install it.
5. Disable Background data access for Google Play Services and Google Play in their respective App Info pages.
6. Download Google Pay from the Play Store.
7. Set up your cards. Enjoy!
Never EVER update Google Play services manually, until a Magisk update is available that bypasses the upgraded SafetyNet. Note that Google Play services is responsible for adding/verifying the card, not the Google Pay app! Hence why there seems to be an overlay when adding a card/verifying an existing one.
Tested Google Pay versions:
2.79.x-2.83.235070858 - working
Tested Google Play services versions:
14.7.99 - working
14.8.49-15.0.10 - not working, downgrade to 14.7.99

Did the trick for me multiple times, on OB13, 9.0.4, and Pixel Experience. So definitely Play Services related !
Installed 18.2 and enabled magisk hide on Google pay, this worked for me, but wouldn't activate on 18.1
18.2 just drop? That wasn't available when I saw the temporary fix downgrading play services to version 14.7.99
I'm on the beta channel too and still says 18.1 is latest beta as well. Hmm.

I tried this and I stopped seeing errors about being rooted in the app, but the card reader at the store is not accepting the payment. I have only tried it at one store so far but they told me other customers used the NFC today and it was fine.
Edit: It was just a problem at the Jewel store. I used Google Pay with the same modifications at a pet store and Aldi since then and it was fine.

Other than the Wear Os app the Galaxy wearables app does not see work profile apps and will not push their notifications. Let's see if that gets fixed at some point.
if you have a samsung phone and use the secure folder as work profile, you can choose if you want the apps to be notified or not

Seeing the same thing. None of my work app notifications from employer show on the watch
I think this is another "only works on Samsung" thing.
I had this problem on my oneplus phone. Switched to a Samsung and it was working fine. (that was the experience I had on previous generation wear os and Tizen watches at least)
Yeah, it'd be nice if there was some sort of workaround for this. Even just as simple as bridging notifications without allowing actions on the Watch would be more useful than the current lack of anything.
It's also sort of odd, looking at the notification settings in the Wearable app shows that it does see that there was a notification coming from that app (gmail, calendar, etc.) even if it was a work profile notification, but won't allow the work profile apps to be synced on anything other than a samsung phone.

Yes I observers the same, I tried to bridge the notification by some apps but not working, You got any luck with Bridging? Also DUO Mobile app was working awesome with Andriod OS 2, But it isn't working here... Looks like Tizen thing is preventing it.
I've got a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic connected to a Not 20 Ultra. When I check in the Galaxy Wearables app, and go into Settings > Notifications and then hit "More" under "Most recent on phone or watch" I get a list of all personal and work profile apps sending notifications.
All Work profile apps and Duo Mobile had been se to "Off" by default. I've turned them on. We'll see how it goes...
{ETA: Success! Duo (via personal) and Slack (via Work) are sending notifications to the watch! I can't act on Duo except via the Phone, though, so not sure how useful that part actually is.}

Yeah, it seems like work profile works when paired to a samsung device, but not anything else, which is unfortunate.
Hey guys, I was facing the same issue of work-profile notifications not being visible on my galaxy watch 4, so I created an app to solve it. Please give it a try: WorkNotifier.
It's completely local, secure, and open-source. The link to code can be found on the play-store listing itself.
If you face any issues with it, please let me know. I would love to help you out.

Pixel watch face works great on it and all it took was 1 sideload You can grab the apk here
Then I proceeded to nuke most Samsung stuff through ADB I removed the following
The entirety of Shealth deleted and (replaced with google fit)
Samsung pay (replaced with google pay)
Any package that had bixby in it was adb yoinked out and replaced with google assistant
I also removed
Samsung messages (replaced with google messages)
Samsung phone app (replaced with google one)
Samsung keyboard deleted and replaced with gboard which seems to work much faster actually
And generally debloated the watch a bit
Overall works fantastic the only thing that doesn't work after all this is always on display I'm guessing it doesn't want to work cuz pixel watch face is third party etc it will seem like it works but it wont update so it will appear as if time is frozen until you wake the watch up
Another thing that doesn't work (only on stock watch faces) is step counter to be more specific it only doesn't work if watch face can only use Samsung fit for its step count (like all stock faces do) if watch face can use google fit step counter (like pixel one here) then it works flawlessly
But other than it works faster looks nicer and generally I'm loving it
Hopefully soon pixel watch apks will be cracked and we can have launcher etc on our watches from pixel watch or if we're lucky we might get a full on custom rom from pixel watch who knows

I did not want the 5 but my 4 classic died. I miss the rotating bezel. I have the 5 pro LTE and the battery life is amazing. I get almost double the battery life.
Just a note, Google Fit can only track heartrate on this watch. If you go this route and nuke Samsung Health, you will lose the ability to scan your stress level, body compisiton, and blood oxygen levels.
Can confirm an extreme debloat will increase battery life significantly however, did that day two of getting the watch. Over 50 apps disabled. The program "ADBAppControl" made by a member here on XDA can make it very simple as well.

Hi,
How many extra hours of battery life did you get after removing Samsung apps? Can you please estimate?
To me, the most beneficial part of debloating would be to improve battery life. If the improvement is just marginal, I don't see much the point of uninstalling lots of Samsung apps....
Did someone have a workaround to get all health features of the watch without shealth? Any 3rd party app? Or can I just keep shealth and remove all other samsung apps?

Samsung Health uses a lot of battery and I wonder what could be uninstall and still allow heart rate, steps and sleep detection.... Or maybe a 3rd party app as you mentioned
