Other than the Wear Os app the Galaxy wearables app does not see work profile apps and will not push their notifications. Let's see if that gets fixed at some point.
if you have a samsung phone and use the secure folder as work profile, you can choose if you want the apps to be notified or not

Seeing the same thing. None of my work app notifications from employer show on the watch
I think this is another "only works on Samsung" thing.
I had this problem on my oneplus phone. Switched to a Samsung and it was working fine. (that was the experience I had on previous generation wear os and Tizen watches at least)
Yeah, it'd be nice if there was some sort of workaround for this. Even just as simple as bridging notifications without allowing actions on the Watch would be more useful than the current lack of anything.
It's also sort of odd, looking at the notification settings in the Wearable app shows that it does see that there was a notification coming from that app (gmail, calendar, etc.) even if it was a work profile notification, but won't allow the work profile apps to be synced on anything other than a samsung phone.

Yes I observers the same, I tried to bridge the notification by some apps but not working, You got any luck with Bridging? Also DUO Mobile app was working awesome with Andriod OS 2, But it isn't working here... Looks like Tizen thing is preventing it.
I've got a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic connected to a Not 20 Ultra. When I check in the Galaxy Wearables app, and go into Settings > Notifications and then hit "More" under "Most recent on phone or watch" I get a list of all personal and work profile apps sending notifications.
All Work profile apps and Duo Mobile had been se to "Off" by default. I've turned them on. We'll see how it goes...
{ETA: Success! Duo (via personal) and Slack (via Work) are sending notifications to the watch! I can't act on Duo except via the Phone, though, so not sure how useful that part actually is.}

Yeah, it seems like work profile works when paired to a samsung device, but not anything else, which is unfortunate.
Hey guys, I was facing the same issue of work-profile notifications not being visible on my galaxy watch 4, so I created an app to solve it. Please give it a try: WorkNotifier.
It's completely local, secure, and open-source. The link to code can be found on the play-store listing itself.
If you face any issues with it, please let me know. I would love to help you out.

Did you ever wanted to stay updated with whatever your friends do on Facebook? Now with Facebook Ticker for Android you can!!
This app allows you to follow the Facebook ticker stream that you can find in the upper right corner of the Facebook desktop site. The Facebook ticker includes all the updates regarding your friends, updates you will not find in your Facebook home page or in any other Facebook mobile app. (right now they are only available on the desktop site of Facebook)
Simply login with your Facebook credentials and the app will display you the latest real-time actions of your friends/pages you like. You can scroll up to fetch new updates, or scroll down and let the app fetch older updates.
This is the first version of this app, new features will soon be available...please suggest some in comments.
Connection problems:
A small number of users are experiencing connection issues, i'm working on this problem, please be patient.

The credentials are NOT stored anywhere. Only the email will be stored on your phone.
This app needs permission to connect to internet to login to your Facebook account and to download the ticker stream. All the connections to facebook are secured using https. The app also connects to an google ad server to display ads on the bottom of the app. No other connections are established. These are the only connection taking places : you->facebook, you->googleAdServer.

I'm the developer it's not the official facebook login page because you cannot access the ticker stream from the standard facebook api, else any other facebook app would have had that stream right?
That's why the basic authentication values are needed.
No worries i don't steal passwords, i would be stupid to publish such app with my personal account.
Any android developer can check that no other communication than towards facebook and google ad servers are made.

I'm after the opposite, well sortof.
I want a way to remove the ticker from the facebook app. On a Samsung tablet (Note 10.1 2014 ed) when you split screen 2 apps you cant see your timeline as the bloody ticker takes up most of the screen. You get a column of letters and small words.
I've been searching for a way to remove the ticker but cant find any. Does anyone have an idea?
I'm trying to remove it from the Android app NOT chrome. I got an extension which does that nicely, its the android app I want to remove the ticker from.
It's weird.. I can't disable it from my s6 Application Management, the option to "Disable" is greyed out. When I go into the S Planner app > Settings > Manage Calendars to switch off all the calendars it's grabbing from my google account.. something turns the calendars back on. Force stop, clear cache, clear data just re-enables S Planner again.
I prefer Google's Calendar app as my main calendar and because I can't disable S Planner I get double event notifications. Has anyone been able to turn it off? I'm not rooted.

Use debloater program for pc (use search on this forum). Install it, then connect your phone, wait a bit and scan packages. Look for S-planner and click the box next to it and click apply (this will disable the app). You can do this without root.
I simply disabled notifications
Thanks Juzh, I'll look into that.
In regards to the last post. Can you post where to disable that?

Go to application manager ... In settings. You can disable notifications for many apps (which stops them running in background as well as solving your s planner problem)
OK however my S Planner notification option is checked but greyed out to disable. Does yours toggle? Could be something wrong with my phone. Anyone else can disable like the last post mentioned?

Just go into the Samsung calendar app and turn off the notifications in the settings
There are a few ways to do this it seems. There is a setting called App notifications. Find S Planner. Click on the cog wheel for settings.
Turn notifications off.
This happened to me too!
I tried to switch over to google Calendar, but got double notifications. I wanted to uninstall it, but that was not possible. So I went into the permissions of the S-planner app and turned off all permissions.
From that point on, it kept sending me notifications that I had to give S-planner permission to read the calendar and other items. I couldn't even go into the app itself and tell the app to stop making these notifications because it would keep popping up a message that I had to set permissions to read calendar and then it would return to the main screen of the app.
In the end, I resigned to allowing it to read my calendar and then from the app itself turn off notifications.
So I still have the app, but i no longer have double notifications.
@Mainow, I have this too, it bothers me greatly. Did you get this fixed?
jjust use titanium backup and disable it their without truning off notification or something its called freeze in titanium back up
Package Disabler Pro
I use Package Disabler Pro. I used the free version for a bit but do like being able to kill S Planner, S Voice and all those other little hard to kill apps that come on the S6 (and S7). In the end I bought the app, but it was pretty cheap. Oh, also does not need root.
Hope this helps.

Whoa. I haven't been on the forum a while. I thought I would have gotten an email if someone replied to my message.
Sorry for the VERY late answer
In short, no, i never got this fixed other than what i described. S-planner still is able to read my calendar, but I muted the notifications from the app itself
So got everything working. most things all work fine except the 3 things I bought it for. it wont get text message notifications from the phone, or facebook or messenger. the three things i need to work are the 3 things that dont. everything else works fine. blue tooth, wifi, all the other app notifications seem to work at least gmail and yahoo mail do. loading apps to it works fine just i get no text message notifications of messenger or facebook. So my phone is top line and on samsungs approved and tested list. Its the HTC one M9. here is samsungs approved list of phones that work. http://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/gear-s2/device-compatibility/ as you can see my phones on it. But if you go to another part of their site they have this chart.

as you can see even thought m9 is listed as tested and compatable in the fine print, it also says that non samsung phones may not be able to access all feature including messaging. Thats b.s. that would be the main reason to have the dang thing. they also hide this information well as its not on anything other then this one chart.
anyway anyone else have the htc one m9 and the gear s2 and been able to get text message notifications or facebook ?
Beware before you by make sure your phone will work and even if samsung says it wil it still may not with messaging as shown on this chart.
The Message app isn't totally available to non Galaxy approved phones, however I manage to text fine on my Nexus 5. First thing I did was assign the "hidden" Message app to the double press on Home button. That's the only way I can actually access the app. However I can initiate a text via the Buddy app, too. And also reply to text notifications. As far as the Message app I assigned to the Home button, it is only one-way texts, but I leave the key people I text to in that app, and initiate my text to them from there and reply via the notifications. Any of this work for you?

Cool thanks Ill keep that in mind. My issue is though i cant even get the notices that i ever got a text to go to the watch. they go to my phone and stop there. everything else like i said goes through with push and shows up on phone except facebook and text messages. facebook really who cares ill live but if i have my phone away like in class and it is not notifying me on the watch then its sort of pointless.
I've read other posts here as well other people having same issue. but no ones postedhow they fixed it or if they did. guess they just returned them.
Do you have notifications for your message app activated on the gear app?
I know it's kind of a silly question
For what ever reason it just all started working about an hour ago out of no where. Didn't change anything it just started working. OK I'm good now.
I have the same problem. Yesterday i was texting from my Gear S2 classic, and since this morning i dont get any notification of text messages on my gear. Also Snapchat, Twitter, messaging, and email notifications won't get to my gear. They only show up on my phone. I have done a factory reset two times now, i have deleted the gear app and reinstalled it, i have turned the notifications off from the gear app settings and turned it off again, i have unpaired and paired the watch over and over again, i have looked through every available setting in the gear, and the phone and still no solution for my problem. I am using a Galaxy s 6 edge
Anybody figure this one out yet? Just received mine 12/10, and received texts that morning, none since. Still receives calls and alarms, just no texts or emails..
Ya if anyone has the solution that would be awesome, I'm having the same problem. And I did everything "charlievegamena" did, I even got a brand new one and its still doing it. Any info would help. Thanks
Gear S2 messages fail on phone
When I send a message from my Gear S2, it will say message sent. Then, when I look at my phone message thread, it says messages failed on phone. It has been doing this for months! I sent my watch back to Samsung and they can't find a problem and Best Buy can't fine anything wrong with the phone (Galaxy S6) either. Is anyone having the same problem?
The app turns the screen white, cranks up the brightness to 100%, and keeps it this way until the user presses the back or home button. The display of the Gear S2 can actually get pretty bright, producing enough light to see everything in a 4 x 4 meter room. Here is the source code:
Code:
<html><body style="background-color: #ffffff;">
<script>
tizen.power.request("SCREEN", "SCREEN_NORMAL"); // won't work properly without this line
tizen.power.setScreenBrightness(1);
setInterval(function(){tizen.power.request("SCREEN", "SCREEN_NORMAL");}, 10000);
window.addEventListener('tizenhwkey', function(){tizen.application.getCurrentApplication().exit();});
</script>

Off topic:
This is my most popular app by far (2,610 downloads since Mar 29, 2016). Surprisingly, only 7 people rated the app. I was wondering why I don't see the comments on the app store page, and it turned out they only show comments that were posted by users who live in the same country (I live in Canada and no one from Canada rated the app, hence no rating). That's why if you live anywhere but USA and Germany most apps in the app store will have no rating, which is stupid :silly:
install hangs
hi - I've tried to install your app on my gear s2 classic but it hangs at the 100% mark. I know some installs can take a bit of time - the longest I waited was 10 minutes though which I think should be sufficient? Can you lend any advice to what the issue might be? thanks! :fingers-crossed:
I would factory reset the watch (there is a quick reset option), because the problem is not in the app/apps. 7000 people installed the app so far and no one complained.
If you are not installing from the app store, make sure you have this line in the config.xml:
Code:
<tizen:privilege name="http://tizen.org/privilege/power"/>
Finally a flashlight app that stays on if you move your arm. (auto wake). love it, will rate you. #Belgium
Great app, thanks a lot for sharing
I have just one little issue with it: leaving the app will not reset screen brightness to the original value

Thank you! The next update (coming some time next week) will fix this issue
The update has been submitted to the app store and is awaiting approval (usually 2 days). Here is the updated code:
Code:

<script>
tizen.power.request('SCREEN', 'SCREEN_NORMAL');
originalBrightness = tizen.power.getScreenBrightness();
function terminate(){tizen.power.setScreenBrightness(originalBrightness); tizen.application.getCurrentApplication().exit();}
tizen.power.setScreenBrightness(1);
setInterval(function(){tizen.power.request('SCREEN', 'SCREEN_NORMAL');tizen.power.setScreenBrightness(1);}, 10000);
document.addEventListener('tizenhwkey', terminate);
document.addEventListener('visibilitychange', terminate);
</script>

How to find in app store
Hi
Sounds like a useful app. I search for "white light" in apps store but only find one for phones.
How can I find the app for the s3 gear?
On the watch I found an app called torch. Is that it?
Hi Eveman,
I have not released a version for smartphones, so the apps you found must have been developed by someone else.
If searching under GEAR tab in Samsung Galaxy Apps store brings no results, I can only suggest trying it again in a few days. Once I tried searching for my Always-On apps and it brought no results, tried again later - and it worked.
Please let me know if that helped.
I have the app, thanks works great. Do you know the shortcut I would use in GWD to make it a button (like com.samsung.weather is for weather)?

Thanks, worked! New to the watch, love it. Especially showing it off to my apple buddies.
I cannot find this app in the Play store for Android anywhere. Can you put a link up so I can use this flashlight app. I love this app and my new pixel 7 pro didn't copy it. I'd like to have this app on my phone because it works and that's all it needs to do. Pixel 7 pro and everything thereafter is going to be 64-bit architecture, so update it to that and please put a link here so we can get the thing.

You must be confusing it with some other app, because this app was developed only for smartwatches running Tizen OS (that is, Samsung watches released before 2021). I might develop a Wear OS version of the app some time in the future, though there is already a built-in "flashlight" app that works pretty well.

I know this is an older thread but I just wanted to see if there is any way around this. I appreciate the sentiment and like that it's on by default but to be completely unable to disable it on a per app basis seems a bit of an overstep. Yet another example of Google (perhaps OnePlus is partly to blame here too) not trusting users to be intelligent enough to make decisions regarding their privacy.
As for the quoted answer, it may have been possible at one point but now when you navigate to Settings>Apps & Notification>Show All Applications>Show system>System>Notifications, "Privacy Alerts" is greyed out and cannot be modified.
Again, I'm generally for this measure but it's popping up while I'm using projectM music visualizer which obviously detracts from the experience.
Any help/insight is greatly appreciated!
