Can you please add a configurable video buffer in seconds so that it can decode more video ahead of time into memory so that seeking can be faster or even instant?
This is especially important when play bigger files from external usb storage, i use mx player with a tv box, bigger video files like 5gb+ seems to need more time to seek, sometimes it takes considerable time, almost a second, but my usb storage can read it faster so mx player could load ahead more data into memory.
It would be also very handy for ppl that like to seek a lot like me, but its very inconvenient if there is a delay after every seek before it actually happens, so the solution is a way to set a bigger configurable video buffer that will allow to load more video data into memory ready to seek instantly.

Does anyone know of a software that will allow the compression of music files from the device, without having to connect to PC? I have files 3-4 MB a piece, and I would like to get them down to about 1-2 MB, so I can store more music than I have. Thanks in advance.
Wrong section to post in.. but you would have to re-encode your files. The music you speak of is already compressed (mp3s/aac/whatever codec your music is stored in), so what you are asking for (two fold decrease)really is not possible unless you are willing to take a quality hit (by lowering the bitrate), but lets just say re encoding an already compressed format is not a good idea(lowering the bitrate at the same time would be a double wammy), unless you want your music to sound likes its coming from a tin can... Either way you would have to copy to your PC.
I meant lowering the bitrate, still the same enroding all mp3 codec. Ah, I guess I'll just do it before transferring to memory card, but sometimes I download from the mobile browser, and that's an extra step.
Hello all....i recently got my TF and have noticed that when i go to sites that have a flash video (like my anime site), the video will not fully load. If i push play on the video, it will start streaming the video but if I pause it and let it continue to buffer the rest of the content, and move to a new tab or application, the buffering stop. If i would to stay on the page and let the video stream and buffer to the end, then I can watch the whole video. I have noticed this in stock browser and Dolphin.
Is this normal? I was expceting something similar ot my computer where i can start a video, switch screens, and when I come back , the video is finishing buffering and I can view all of the movie.....any ideas? Thanks
I think it part of Android to safe resources (cpu power is limited).
If I select multiple videos and photos to generate an auto awesome movie, the duration of said media often extends beyond the length of most of the songs from which you can select in the app. Is there a way to extend the music to a length of time equivalent to the time it takes to display the media so there's no silence at the end of the movie?
I made a post in the other forum how I was getting lag on my wife 1gb connection streaming files from El Explorer / file manager hd to my note 3.
However, when I stream from the Web there is no problem it seems that mx player is not buffering long enough from my computer.
Any ideas on how to fix this.
Please stick to 1 thread per topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/mx-player/slow-network-stream-t2748583
As said here, other people get well sufficient buffering in MX Player. I can see the buffer fill seconds after starting playback so the problem is not inherent to MX Player. Try fiddling with your share settings and file permissions on PC.
Hi, I have been using MX Player for years but encountered this problem last year only. Whenever I delete a video from a folder containing more than 2000 videos or other folder containing 1000 videos, it takes 4-5 seconds to delete it. However, when I delete a video from a folder containing only a 100 videos, it deletes them within a second. Is there any fix for this? Because of this I have to delete videos from file explorer apps like Solid Explorer and the videos are continuously decreasing the space in my memory card since I'm too lazy to delete them from file explorer every time. This is the reason why I'm looking for an alternative of MX Player.
I would really appreciate if there's a fix for this.
Hi, I have same problem as user before me - when I trying delete some for example 20 files from folder with for example 500 videos (short movie clips for info) it takes long time - around more then 2 minutes, between deleting Android OS warning me about MX Player stop responding - time is little shorter if i deleting videos without extra thumbnails (for example video file VIDEO.MP4 and thumbnail VIDEO.JPG) - exist solution except I will not use thumbnails? Anyway, if I use for example Total Commander for Android delete is in some seconds. I see solution does not exist for years... Thank you anyway.
PS: Deleting is slower if videos (and optionally extra thumbnails) is on SD card, but this situation is for external SSD disk. I am using payed version MX Player PRO - is really problem in my HW/SW or in application and way how MX Player deleting files?
