Question Every custom ROM used receiving call goes down after 30 seconds. - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Hi, would like to ask for some help to the community because every ROM i've tested, Arrow, Pixel Experience, etc etc i have an issue regarding receiving calls. When someone calls me, after 30 seconds call goes off. If i am the one who calls, all seems fine.
How can i make a better report for what is happening to me? I have no idea why this happens.

Now i tried ACIP ROM, and the same happened. Just after a clean install, the only ROM that this doesn't happen is MIUI latest. I am completely losing hope on using custom ROMS. Would love some help to log or whatever.

Is 30 seconds a time to screen off?
I observe similar behavior in Lineageos, but it is only screen off, not disconnect.

No, just the call. between 20 - 30 seconds it just disconnects.

Try turning off Wifi-calling

i will try that, but i don't think that comes by default.
Is there anyway i can log the moment it happens so i can post it here?

Wifi calling caused my phone to double call, it would call hang up then call again.

Maybe its a network provider issue?

Have you tried format data and also if you use Wifi calling do calls get disconnected ?

I dont use wi-fi connection.
Strange that Miui works fine. Is there a way i can make a log?

still having this issue, any thoughts on this? how to debug it?

have you tried using other cards or networks?

@OP - is the phone still under warranty? Sounds like a hardware connection problem.

Bruh that's weird, i've never experienced apps like this going ape crazy in the long run of me installing ROMs from here in XDA. Everything works fine except in all the custom ROMs
Ever tried to backup that "working" phone app and installing it on the custom ROMs?
Not sure if there's a way to log that event if ever you want logs to be saved and documented for troubleshooting.

Set Filter for errors, save output to file and analyze on a another device or try live? You could try to call somebody with speakers enabled while watching logcat

Problem with 3G/data

I have an Oneplus one that often lose contact with the data and 3G, if there is 4G there is problem. This happend when I am outside a town on the country(which always have worked before).
Anyone here know if it is a common problem and what to do?
Are you still on stock software? Or running a custom ROM?
I have been getting this issue and my fix is to reboot the phone, if you try airplane mode or toggling data, it doesnt fix it. Reboot brings the data back. I think it could be modem related.

I am on Linage Rom right now.
I tried to install another modem and now the sound is really bad when I am speaking in a call, people say that they dont hear what I say.
I have tried to install other modems for OPO but no one works like the one I had first, anyone here know which modem that works for 7.1, becuase I cant speak anymore with the phone.
I have tried to install a new rom but it seems that the wrong modem is still in use.
I'm not sure which is best TBH. When I had this issue, I flashed back to stock software, and then once I was back on stock, I reinstalled the ROM I was using before and this fixed my issue. But I do still get the mobile data cutting out from time to time, but not as frequently as before.
Try posting in the modem thread and see if people in there can advise you.

Look for firmwares compatible with your ROM--start here:

Or flash a new ROM.
Or go back to your old one and start fresh.

Aldready tried all the firmwares and also did an reset to stock and locked bootloader, the problems is still the same
Besides the APN, are there any other settings for the modem that can affect the sound from my microphone in calls?

You've been busy.
There is a "mic fix" somewhere around--a little searching will find it and other ideas.
Good luck.
Tried both mic fixes, neither of them worked
This works for me:
https://vcillusion.wordpress.com/20...n-low-mic-during-call-problem-in-oneplus-one/
I've had this mobile data issue since the official COS 13.1 came out. To fix it you can only reboot. I've tried multiple solutions but nothing works.
I'm currently running the latest LineageOS Nightly and still have that, it's a PITA but I can live with it.
I wasn't able to find the conditions in which this bug happens, but it usually happens to me when I get out of the home with the WiFi turned on and connected

Maybe it's related, and Viper handles that file while you try to edit it. I never used that and this fix I suggested you always worked for me on all CM based ROMs I've ever used. Maybe try uninstalling viper, edit those files and install again? Can't assure that will work but if you got time and you know what you're doing it's not a big deal. ?

to
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="93">

There should be only two lines you have to edit. change the XX (for me it was 00) to 93, in both lines. XX means placeholder

This is the same as for me, its usually when I go from WiFi to mobile data, the data just doesn't turn on. If i reboot my phone, it comes back and works fine. The only other time I've had it is when I go to an area with bad signal quality and the data drops off but doesn't come back when I get into an area with better signal.
Since I did the flash back to stock and reinstalled the ROM, it hasn't happened as much but it does still happen from time to time. Its pretty frustrating when it happens because I usually miss a load of Whatsapp/Messenger messages. But the restart fix works so I guess ill just have to live with it. Its good to hear that its not just me though!

Instead I have problem with very slow data: sometimes data letters doesn't show after turning off wifi and so I have to reboot or put in flight mode. Then, when in data only, it is really slow, expecially with 4G.
Some users say that this problem showed when COS 13.1 came out and it is still present in the LineageOS nightlies. I've bought my OPO used and it had COS 13.1.2 preinstalled, so I dunno how the phone was before 13.1 came out.
Can anyone tell me what ROM version works without data issues, like the ones I have?
Thanks in advance for the reply!

This is actually the same issue we were talking about. And yes this first came out on COS13.1 I had this since then, and still have it now on the latest nightly build of LineageOS from 3rd April so I guess its something that we'll have to live with.

Issue with mobile data connection

Dear all,
I own a OP6 always updated through OTA. But I have a big problem: often, and without noticing it, the data connection is interrupted and the only way to reactivate it is turn off the connection from the menu, wait a minute, and reactivate the connection. It happens several times a day.
As you can imagine, it is a big problem because someone sends me emails or messages that I do not receive until I do the steps above. And I don't know when I'm connected and when I am not because everything seems okay.
Can you help me?
Thanks in advance.

Just out of curiosity, did you try downloading the latest full rom and flashing it? I was always having issues with severe battery drain if I updated by OTA. Downloading the rom from OP website and flashing fixed the issue. Could be something similar for you.
Be sure to do a backup first incase of any problems.

Not similar but this the only case. I learned it through 4 devices OTA updates always mess up something. Always do full clean install, i know it sucks to settup the phone again install backups.. etc.. but it gor good
I think i have the same problem but after every reboot. I get 4G icon, but there is no connectivity on chrome and other apps (although Spotify seems to work). Only after switching to 3G and back to 4G the data works...
I had the same problem on my OP3 in OOS, but not in Resurrection Remix... really weird. I may try Havoc OS to see.
No problems with mobile data here, but dame issues when on wifi. I did a factory reset yesterday and clean install, but sadly that didn't help.
I've just updated to OxygenOS 5.1.11 and the issue is still with me. How is it possible? It's a really annoying bug. Developers, where are you when we need you most?

Settings - Back up and reset - network settings reset
Make sure you reboot your phone once after you do that
Does anyone know what the best apn and network settings are for an unlocked Moto g5 plus on metro by TMobile
When I use OP6 on mobile data, cant use google or associated programs... Used a VPN program and problem is solved.
Updated: deleted all APN and insert manually APN for my network. Works just fine...for now.

OnePlus 7 pro wifi problems

Hi guys, I got my OnePlus 7 pro at the time of release, and up to now it's been through all of the updates etc. But I have a major problem with using WiFi. Sometimes it works normally, but other times, images won't load, or downloading images from apps such as WhatsApp takes forever. Images such as profile pictures don't load either or will take a very long time. However watching video on YouTube etc is all fine. I'm very confused at to this issue and wondering if anyone else knows anything about it.
Thankyou!
By the way, using mobile data works fine and everything loads properly.
I would recommend factory reset at this point. This beast is fast as hell on wifi. No issues here.
I've also had this issue sometimes. It pops back up every now and then but what fixed it in most apps was going into router/modem settings and make sure that the time(what tells the router your local area's current time) is being controlled by your ISP and not by the internet.

Problem dropping calls

Hey
Does anyone experience problems of phone having full signal and then dropping it.
The problem I'm experiencing is frequent dropout during calls and being unable to establish them afterwards.
I can send texts and use the internet one minute and the next the phone doesn't work and drops my calls as well as doesn't accept them.
I tried swapping SIMs, rebooting, flight mode, you name it. The phone starts working again after about five minutes.
Here is the error:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e6_D3RM6luCK_LWDQSmOq-gJmmxjQOd9/view?usp=sharing
I would really appreciate some help. I highly suspect that this started happening with one of the latest updates.
I'm on a vanilla 12.0.3 Global rom.
Cheers

Yup. I have it pinpointed to a software problem as the phone worked just fine until a couple of updates ago. I can't however work out what could cause it.
I'm currently trying toggling VoLTE and changing APN settings (APN had wrong settings but still worked). Maybe the combination of both could cause problem.
I have also found out that SMS and data connection works fine all the time. It's just the calling function that causes the problem. I can listen to Spotify all day and it will work but as soon as someone tries to call me the signal will drop and everything stops. When I call the same thing happens. The bars just drop to 0 and playback stops. It resumes right after and works fine as long as I don't try to call. If I do the same thing happens.
The issue resolves itself after 5-30 minutes or so and then everything works totally fine.
So yeah if I had a rooted phone I would definitely contribute this to faulty rom or a rogue app. But I don't have one so it should work fine.
I've managed to capture it on video (sorry for the shaky camera but it was hard to film using one hand):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxusuCwsiBc&t=2s
Reboots, flight mode, swapping SIM cards (using a brand new one), using a SIM in slot 1 or slot 2, heck both slots, VoLTE on or off... I have literally tried everything. Nothing changes. Placing the same card in my other phone is fine. The problem happens everywhere and not only in one place so it's not reception. Also it doesn't matter if I'm moving or not so it's not switching between towers.

Calls not connecting on AOSP ROM

Just flashed Resurrection. Everything is cool except my calls don't connect. When I dial, the call immediately ends. If I toggle airplane mode a few times the call will finally connect. I figured this is an AOSP thing. Does anyone know of a fix?
Metro pcs is my service provider by the way
Bump.. been checking around and I've found nothing. However I'm able to dial Google voice numbers without issue

I know a fix, but you're not going to like it. Flash something else. See if the problem persist. If not, boom, problem fixed. If yes, make a log. Post it in the ROM thread together with problem description. Wait for fix.
edit:
If the same problem persist also on another ROM could be also HW problem.

I actually love flashing new ROMs lol. Unfortunately flashing a different rom didn't help. Same thing is happening. I ended up flashing Official Android 11 Pixel Experience.
At this point I'm sure it's an AOSP thing or custom ROM (don't think it's HW atm). When my bootloader was locked for the "168 hour" wait period I was able to make all of the outbound calls I wanted. I'll post some logs in both threads just for the record while I continue to find a fix.
I've found a workaround for my issue. I installed an MIUI ROM. I've been able to make calls without issue.
Not sure why MIUI allows me to dial out and AOSP doesn't. If anyone can chime in, that would be awesome. Otherwise I'll rock with MIUI ROMs for the time being.

I was previously on awaken os android 13 version.I noticed this call problem when I was on that rom.So I shifted to pixel experience.
But I just turned off Volte toggle and now calls are seems to be working. So could it be issue from my network provider side?

To be absolutely sure that it's your provider's fault, I would probably also flash MIUI to be 100% sure
