Oneplus 6 no longer connects to WiFi and cellular and randomly restarts - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I was using a few months ago my Oneplus 6 and decided to install the android 11 beta on it.
After few weeks it randomly restarted and now it can't connect to WiFi and cellular and after a while of it being powered up it restarts after a while.
I tried factory resetting and MSM Download Tool (downgrading to android 8.1) but to no avail.
Then I tried to see the IMEIs of the phone and they were blank same thing with the WiFi MAC.
I don't know what to do, but if somebody can help me recover this phone i'll appreciate it.

This is mostly likely a HW problem, based on what you described i would say it's the RF IC chip which is "SDR845".
Either get that replaced by a shop or replace the whole motherboard which costs more but requires less skills.
All parts can be purchased online but require some skill to pull off so a pro is recommended.

Dear Team,
I am also facing exactly the same problem.
And Thank you for pointing - IMEI n MAC address are not showing when problem is there.
Is there any solution
Works fine randomly in between & then goes bad in few hours....
Kindly help
I first got network IC replaced
Then after few days
I got motherboard replaced
And now after few days
Again the same problem scenario occurring
My repair shop person says now it can be battery fault...
Or may be something related to temperature
I still believe it is something solve able for sure...

LG G2 (D800/AT&T) not turning on - Hard bricked ?? -"QHSUSB_BULK"

Hello,
When connected to a PC, it is showing up as "QHSUSB_BULK". I only have official software from AT&T OTA, and phone is not rooted.
From my reading online, it means hard brick..... I cant get into recovery, download modes or anything at all now..... definitely not motherboard since the phone turned on over the weekend, when battery was almost zero and had to connect to charger to completely turn on.....
Tried downgrading to kitkat from lollipop because a continuous restarts.
Currently, neither fastboot nor ADB recognises this phone or I cant use LG flash tool to install official kitkat onto it. I have tried looking at various forums and couldnt find this exact situation of phone not turning on at all. Also phone is not showing up in disk partitions as well
Can someone tell me how to fix this phone, having this issue from almost 3 weeks now.
I got a same problem, In my case, I changed the battery then fixed the problem
ANy help guys...This G2 forum is too quite
Any help people.... Its been more than a month now
If you cannot get into DOWNLOAD or fastboot then you will have to open the device up and short out the 2 circuits. I just had the same thing happen to me when I ended up putting mismatched boot files on the system. It is time consuming and a pain but really not that hard. MAKE sure you have the right tools. I bought some off amazon before doing.

Bootloop and "temporary" Hardbrick

First of all, If I am copying an already existing Post I am sorry for that but I think i found nothing similiar to my "weird" situation here.
Now to my problem (with a short intro tho) :
I had my OPO for a half year, when i decided to root it. When i did this, I was a total rookie, so I just followed steps/guides I've found in the Internet. I unlocked Bootloader, installed TWRP-Menu and finally rooted my device. Everything went totally perfect for me and my device was running smooth and without any problems. But after some dirty- and some clean- updates(always only the cyanogen updates that were showen on my phone), my OPO randomly shut down. Earlier on, I made a Backup. So i wiped calvik&cache and thought i lost all my problems. But in the last weeks, new problems occured. So i started looking for them in the Internet. I found out, that i had a "bootloop"/ Softbrick on my phone. It randomly shut down and it sometimes felt like especially the standby-mode made my phone to go offline. After solving this problem aswell via a "zip" from the Internet that I installed via TWRP, my device was again stable for like two weeks. But then after a Night I faced a new Problem, my Phone was again offline. It shut down without doing anything from my side. I saw all indications for a hardbrick. So i tried to "rescue" my phone via the xda-guide. And randomly after plugging it into my pc via the usb-connection it rebooted. But this just created the newest and maybe biggest problem.
Right now: My phone shuts down after beeing in standby-mode for like 5minutes. Neihter my LED is blinking or anything else is happening. It has no Bootloop but sometimes I am again scared of having a Hardbrick.
For me as normal User, who just wanted to get more privacy on his phone, these Problems exceed my knowledge and that's why I posted my Problem here in this forum, full with people who might know how to fix this problem or even be experts in rooting mobiles.
P.S: Please excuse my bad english at some points. Try to overlook it )

Let me clear few of your terms
Bootloop : Your device spins on CyanogenMod logo
Hard brick : Your device won't even boot into recovery and when you press power button(10-15sec), it'll vibrate just once
Softbrick : Same as bootloop, but you can boot into your custom recovery like TWRP
The solution to all your problems is to flash fastboot/factory images of Cyanogen OS 12.1 (Tutorial link in general section). Make sure that you backup your internal storage.
Flash them and use it for 2 days, if you continue to face issues, quote me here or somebody else will help you on this board
Might be a hardware issue

I've had a similar issue arise in my OPO around a month back. The phone used to randomly switch off. In most cases it didn't switch on for around 10-15 minutes. I installed different roms, cleared data/dalvik .... you name it, I did everything, but the issue still persisted. I came to the realisation that it had to be a hardware issue. Took it to a service centre, where they confirmed it was an issue with the motherboard ( although initially they just flashed cm11 and handed it to me). So basically, my phone is with the service centre for the past 5 days and is awaiting the new part.
What I'm saying is, get it to the service centre as quickly as possible, if you're nearing the end of your warranty and get it analysed and fixed. Wish your OPO a speedy recovery

Thanks for the Information,
I really appreciate your Help. Just one question, is the backup that I can create via TWRP enough or should i backup everything seperatly?
And @p403nix, Thanks for your tip !!! That's a nice information, the only Problem about that is, that in my Homecountry the Oneplus Support is very terrible. I am in contact with the customer support tho, but I don't expect too much

[Expose Oneplus] SERIOUS ISSUE !One plus 6 shows no sim & WIFI doesn't Work
Suddenly my One plus 6 shows no sim & WIFI doesn't get recognized. Tried clearing the cache & rebooting. Also tried resetting the system settings. now cannot switch on phone as no sim or wifi is detected. Phone get stuck when its searching for wifi ((
Phone is not rooted
Bootloader is locked
Phone is running on stock rom
the phone freezes turns off and on by itself every minute until the battery is dead
sim cards dont work and dont get detected
wifi doesnt work when turning on turns itself off instantly
sometimes it goes away, the phone works like it never happend for a couple of days, then it doesnt work again
One plus is a fraud company its hardware gives up after 1 year,,,this is bul****
Hey dude
Well strange i would contact oneplus about this should be under warranty there's no point in asking on the xda if you haven't even unlocked bootloader and clearly you aren't a user that like to fiddle with things
Cheers hope oneplus support will help you
Mine op6 works fine have it till launch no issues so i guess its stupid to call company a fraud, there's always chance that the smartphone or any electronic device will fail overtime that why you have warranty
I have posted my query here because few years back when i was using HTC ,i faced an issue and when the service centre gave up and returned my phone unfixed, one senior member from xda helped me to revive my phone and certainly that guy made my day for which i shall be forever thankful to xda forum
P.S : I am Sorry if i have hurt you in any way , i am just fed up not able to find any solution yet
I am just here trying my luck and hoping to find another life saver, Cheers ?
I've got the exact same problem. Op folks told me it's a hardware issue and they might have to replace the motherboard. But I really don't trust them
Its pretty much a hardware problem. I had the exact same problem with my OnePlus 3. I went to the official OnePlus service centre and they told me the same (to get the motherboard changed). I don't think it's worth to change the either motherboard.
I got the network IC repaired for half the price from some local mobile repair shop. See if you can do the same.
I have OP 6T and this issue started right after one of the updates, as the phone asked to reboot after an update. So, right after that update phone took 10-15 minutes to boot. Couple of days ago the was another Google Security Fix update, and that killed everything. No SIM cards, no wifi hardware... I tried fresh install, which stucks at - Wiping, Please wait. I tried to unbrick it, and I was able to reinstall official android, but still not wifi or mobile networking. they are just gone. - Does not like a hardware issue to me...
Turn off phone, remove SIM, turn on phone with no SIM, turn off, then plug in SIM and reboot again.
Most likely it's the Network IC, very common issue
You can try all the SW things first just to be safe but if nothing works then it's all that's left.
I have found a workaround which has worked 100% during last 7-8 times this issue happened. Once the no sim and wifi detect issue happens, switch off the phone, plug it into charging, let it charge in switch off mode for 2 mins and then switch it on with charging on.
It sounds like jump starting but somehow it works. Seems like network IC or something gets reset. Keeping my op6 for now with this workaround!

I too had a similar problem after getting my touch and screen replaced at OnePlus service center , while returning they told me that it's motherboard is also faulted and will work for few months at max and after I started getting the same problem as sim card not being detected and wifi unabled , but I got a temporary fix for it. The problem still persist.
The solution to this is while the phone is loading just slap the screen with palm strongly just don't break the screen , slap it repeatedly until you are asked to put the unlock code.

It's a temporary solution as the problem is in your motherboard, i even had my IC changed but nothing helped. This is the only solution, it keeps happening twice a week or even more.

Help with 7Pro connection issues

Hello guys. I'm at my wits end and looking for some help.
I bought a new still sealed in the box Oneplus 7 pro off ebay back in April. Bad idea I know. Everything has been fine up until earlier this month when I started to notice that often times when I looked at my phone it would have no signal. After a few minutes it would reconnect automatically. I thought it was Straight Talk at first but it started to happen more and more frequently, and eventually it no longer would reconnect on its own. Since I was frustrated with the service I was getting with Straight Talk I switched to Verizon and the problem persisted. The phone will work fine for 10min, an hour, or half the day. Suddenly it will completely lose all signal. I've tried turning data on and off in the quick settings, or removing the sim card and reinserting and neither will not work. The only sure way to get the data back on is I either have to restart the phone, or turn the data on and off in the dialer diagnostic menu. Those are the only 2 ways to always get the data back on. After it comes back on it will work for several minutes to half the day before losing connection again.
Im currently running 10.3.3, but before this I was on 10.3.1 and had the same issue. I have reset the phone countless times, reinstalled the OS multiple times, tried different network types in the diagnostic menu and nothing works. I don't believe its a hardware issue because switching the data on and off in the diagnostic menu always works.
Does anyone have any clue whats wrong and what I should do? Thanks in advance.

at this point, you could try the opened beta https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/beta-15-rolling-t4114211. you could also try a different kernel to see if that helps.
I finally got off the stable and updated to the beta and the problem persist. Is there like a baseband firmware that I can flash that will upgrade the radio in the phone? Maybe that would work.

I had that happen to me with an old device when I would select LTE only on my device. Have you tried changing the band from 2/3/4 G to only 2/3 G. This is not a solution to correct your problem, only a test to determine if your signal will remain constant.
Also, since your got the phone BNIB may need to contact 1+ support directly, as I believe you should be within the 1 year manufacturer warranty.

Dead Oneplus 7pro data recovery

Hii My oneplus 7 pro get dead… blackout while using and battery life is very good never faced problem, it is on 65% while dead. Now nothing is working it is not powering ON, no volume up + power, volume down + power, all three together. But nothing is working. I also tried keep my phone charging full night. My charger is OK. But it also not worked.
i visited oneplus store, they told me first they update software then they will check if there is any internal hardware malfunction. So i took my mobile back. Because I don’t want to loose my important data of last two years, it have my experiments, my future projects, my btc mobile wallets, and photos and videos.
is there anyway to recover my data?
after software update can i recover my data?
I tried everything, dogphone toolkit, drfone. But they don’t have option for oneplus 7 pro?
so please help and suggest what to do to recover my data. Or is there chances to recover my data after flashing ROM?
First to plug it to PC and see how PC recognize it. Android device or qualcomm device or oneplus 7pro... I have heard these variations.

It recognize by USD, tried flashing ROM also not worked, so now it’s submitted to service center, they are also not able to flash ROM, so have some hardware issues. Now they will charge me 25000rs for motherboard after 2-3 days they will call and inform that motherboard need to be replaced.

I searched all over with the forensic data expert, but there is no chances of data recovery.. if oneplus 7 pro is totally dead, even taking out EMMC will also not help to recover data. So finally i lost my data, without any damages this phone dead totally. Now i am thinking how oneplus phones are said best in market.
