[HELP] Unable to flash stock firmware at all on the Pixel 4a. - Google Pixel 4a Questions & Answers

Hello everyone, my brother recently got the Google Pixel 4a second-hand, in a relatively good condition.
The problem is that the phone only has 2 apps preinstalled (Settings and Clock). He DOES NOT have the build number in Settings>About phone. We've checked the IMEI and it says the phone is valid, everything is alright. He's tried everything to flash the stock firmware (flash-all.bat), but was unable because the bootloader is locked, and he cannot even unlock it.
Thanks in advance!

I am sorry, lock/delete this thread, I have just noticed that there is another thread same as mine.
Apologies!

I really need help bringing back to stock.

My phone has been bricked for months. I am trying this guide on xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
So far all the stock firmware seems to not work. I am 90% sure my phone is US Retail but I am not sure if it is XT1032, XT1045, Falcon, Peregine, or whatever it is.... So I am confused as to which files I am supposesd to flash to return to stock; and where they are located.
I currently have access to the bootloader and have TWRP custom recovery installed but I don't know how to install the stock firmware. If anyone could help me understand which model my phone is / why my flashing isn't working, it would be more helpful than they could imagine... :good:
Other threads I made on this simply redirected me to that thread, but I can't find any help or related topics :/
Additional info: I strongly believe that the model number is the issue as I followed countless other guides on how to install Cyanogen Mod and a couple other roms since I got this phone brand new. None of the roms flashed properly, none of the recoveries worked, until now. All I have is a recovery left and a bricked phone...( + access to the bootloader of course)
For your Model number Check Ur Mobile Bill/Box...
Could you also look it up with the imei #? In case a box is not available

try one of these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54757500&postcount=348
Thanks for the help, but I found the problem.
Opened the back of the phone to check the model number and it was XT1045 like I thought, so I had the right stock images. Problem was I did not have the Motorola drivers for mfastboot installed correctly. I used a guide to install them universally on mac and my phone is back up and running!

Help with FRP Lock

Hello everybody,
I usually find my answers in the specific phone related forums. But this time I'm stuck.
A friend of mine bought a Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F to be specific) in India. After using his phone there he came back home to Israel.
His phone didn't worked here for some reason and he went to a phone lab which flashed his ROM to stock Israel ROM.
They called him in the middle of the process and asked him what was his Google account thet he signed to while the first setup. Unfortunately, he cant remember his email address.
I took the phone to try bypassing the frp lock.
After a small search I realized I need an otg cable, which I bought.
I received the cable (1.5 mounths wait) and tried the otg cable method with no success.
After some experiments I successfully managed to open the settings menu. Pressed factory data reset and after a restart it stopped on recovery menu with the yellow message "dm-verity verification failed".
Well, this is annoying. I realized I need to flash the stock ROM again(Dated 01/16). So I did And the message dissapperd.
Back to the FRP lock issue. I did the process again and it didn't stopped in the recovery mode this time and I could see the Android logo with a little erasing.. Under it. Finally I thought.
I was wrong.
The FRP lock is still there! Dammit.
It is time to pull the big guns.
I thought I will flash the OLDER version of the stock ROM. Dated 09/2015 I Understand google updated the FRP lock protection on January 2016. Is the downgrade OK? I don't know if a downgrade is possible on Samsung phone.
And if you have an idea how to bypass this. Please share it.
Thank you so much!

phone sim locked tmobile sim will not work

so i flashed to international rom then updated to android 10 and when i put in any tmobile sim card it says
Network Lock: This device can be remotely unlocked if eligible.
Please use the "Unlock" application to unlock the device.
Make sure the device has an internet connectivity to use the "Device Unlock application".
there is no unlock app on the android 10 open beta, im rolling back to android 9 to see if it fixes issue...
Rolling back does fix this issue but I am not sure why the issue exists in the first place. I did this yesterday - had the same problem and I used the rollback and phone was fine again.

Hey forgot to update the thread, yes you are correct. Just rolled back. Really sucks because Android 10 is a really big difference to me. I just sold my pixel 3xl and I'm already used to it. I'll probably give it another try when there's an update.

Someone HELP!!!

Hi all,
I'm having a nightmare of a time with my Galaxy S7... For some unknown reason I decided to root my phone about 2 months ago using CF Auto Root.. worked great.. This morning, was having bad lag issues, so I restarted the phone.. as soon as the Samsung logo came up, I got a red message at the top of the screen saying "Custom Binary locked by FRP".. kind of freaked out and booted the phone into Recovery mode.. wiped Cache and wiped phone (to go back to factory setting I guess).. restarted... since then, I had no boot.. it did loop for a while as I was trying to charge the phone.. but that's it.
Now, the only way the phone will power on is if I plug it into my computer in Download Mode. I am trying to flash the ROM, custom or stock, but Odin fails almost as soon as it starts the sboot.bin and the phone screen shows "SW REV. CHECK FAIL (BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 6, BINARY: 1".. Also, When I try to power on the phone, it HAS to be plugged in to my computer or charger cable and it just loops with a message at the top of the screen.
I can't do anything with this phone and cant find any solutions online... please help! :crying:
PM me for images of all screens please
I had the some problem while playing with my handset I switched off OEM unlock for some reason under developer option..
Next time i reset my handset it stuck on that warning
You need to download combination file, flash it with odin, then unlock developer mode, toggle OEM unlock, than flash back your current firmware, or if you have full twrp back up restore it

This problem appears on the forum over and over. Its a direct result of not understanding what type of S7 you have and what you need to do before modification.
The error you have in Odin means the firmware you are trying to flash is older than the bootloader file on your device. You can never downgrade a bootloader only upgrade.
In your case you need to flash a firmware version 6 or above for your device. So if you have a branded T Mobile for example you will need to download and flash T Mobile firmware version 6 or above. The firmware must also be for your region where you live.
The FRP lock is because you didn't sign out of, or remove the Google account on the device before modification. Its a security feature. It will still appear after you've flashed firmware but as long as you know the email and password the phone will start fine.

Dammit.. I tried to put as much detail as possible in there lol.. obviously I forgot some.. My mistake the Galaxy s7 that I am using is a Rogers Mobile (Canada) SM-G930W8. As for not signing out before modification, omfg, that makes perfect sense.. didn't even think of doing that before rooting.. I appreciate the help!! I will give this a go and see what outcome I get.. Thanks!
[/COLOR]That was nice of you to respond so helpfully, despite you having seen the scenario posted over and over.

The S7 didn't receive Android 9 so the ROM is a custom one. Any issues with custom ROM's should be asked on the ROM thread itself where you got the ROM from. It's quite normal for custom ROM'S to have bugs.
You can try flashing the ROM (Android 9 Pie) again to see if it works. If not there are several different A9 ROM's to choose from.

Need binary 3 software for Note7 N930F

Hey guys!
So I bought a note 7 N930F from a recycler a few months ago. When I got it it had a custom ROM
(presumably to remove charge limit) flashed. I was messing around in developer options one night and stupidly turned off OEM unlocking for some reason. When I went to boot it up I got "custom binary blocked by FRP" or something like that. I went and found a combination file (factory binary) and flashed it. Flashed no problem but now the issue I'm facing is OEM unlocking is nowhere to be found. I want to enable that so I can proper Android on the phone but it complains about the firmware being binary 2 while the phone is on 3. I know for a fact this phone has an unlockable bootloader as it had TWRP flashed when I got it and OEM unlocking enabled.
Now I'm not sure if this matters but the phone showed N9300 in settings as a model number however in download mode & factory binary it shows N930F.
So my question is where can I find the binary 3 firmware? I know it has many limitations but the main purpose is to disable FRP & enable OEM unlocking and it should do fine for that.
I've read another thread and it had download links for the firmware I need but unfortunately they're all dead links.
Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!
hi,i have U3 firmware for N930F. This firmware only for unbrick device. Then you will need to install a custom rom
