Hello everybody,
I usually find my answers in the specific phone related forums. But this time I'm stuck.
A friend of mine bought a Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F to be specific) in India. After using his phone there he came back home to Israel.
His phone didn't worked here for some reason and he went to a phone lab which flashed his ROM to stock Israel ROM.
They called him in the middle of the process and asked him what was his Google account thet he signed to while the first setup. Unfortunately, he cant remember his email address.
I took the phone to try bypassing the frp lock.
After a small search I realized I need an otg cable, which I bought.
I received the cable (1.5 mounths wait) and tried the otg cable method with no success.
After some experiments I successfully managed to open the settings menu. Pressed factory data reset and after a restart it stopped on recovery menu with the yellow message "dm-verity verification failed".
Well, this is annoying. I realized I need to flash the stock ROM again(Dated 01/16). So I did And the message dissapperd.
Back to the FRP lock issue. I did the process again and it didn't stopped in the recovery mode this time and I could see the Android logo with a little erasing.. Under it. Finally I thought.
I was wrong.
The FRP lock is still there! Dammit.
It is time to pull the big guns.
I thought I will flash the OLDER version of the stock ROM. Dated 09/2015 I Understand google updated the FRP lock protection on January 2016. Is the downgrade OK? I don't know if a downgrade is possible on Samsung phone.
And if you have an idea how to bypass this. Please share it.
Thank you so much!

Hello everyone, im no developer nor do I post here often, or at all. The sole reason im doing this is because last night i flashed the latest lollipop build on my Galaxy s5 and that meant it updated the boot-loader and everything. I had reactivation lock on and that didn't bother me because the phone was mine and i knew the credentials required to get in so it was meant to be a walk in the park......until it turned on. I went about just fine setting up the phone from factory setting till i reached a point where it asked me for my Samsung details. I put in all the right details but when i hit login, it said "processing failed". I searched everywhere about this issue but nothing seemed to help. The only thing i learnt was that this happened because i flashed 2 different countries' firmware's (i.e i was on the Indonesian fw when my reactivation lock was on and i flashed a different country to which i turned on and got locked out)
I tried flashing back the Indonesian and login through there, but no luck, my only option was to go to samsung...... thats until i gave it one more shot this morning
Instructions:
1. Download the earliest stock lollipop build for your device model from sammobile, since i have a G900H it was G900HXXU1BOA7_G900HOXY1BOA7 (kazkhastan) for me.
2. Enter your recovery and wipe data and cache.
3. Enter download mode and flash the old lollipop build on your device through odin.
4. After it flashes, before it goes to the Samsung logo, turn off the device again and enter recover to wipe data and cache AGAIN.
5. Reboot and wait.
6. Once you're on the welcome screen, follow the instructions on ht tps:// www . youtube . com / watch?v=OCZpUcnp6Cc and it should work because you're on the older firmware where the flaw wasn't fixed yet. (Just remove the spaces)
And that's it, that's how you can get through the reactivation lock on the s5, though I'm guessing it should work on any device that has a lollipop build before February 2015.
I hope this helps the people out there who are locked out of their own devices, no need to thank me if it does since im not sticing around here long but please do give a thumbs up to the video on YouTube since its all the main work involved
Hi there,
Thank you for you share but here isn't the right place for that. Please see bellow your device forum where you can choose where to post.

Hi guys, I thought I just got a heck of a deal when I picked up a 64gb Note 5 for only $75 today off of the app LetGo (kinda like craigslist). The guy I bought it from was very nice and showed me that everything on the phone was in working order and let me use it myself to test it out. I gave him $75 and brought it home only to factory reset it and Google Account lock it in the process. I believe it is currently on 5.1.1, no idea what security update. I tried the FRP bypass that uses Realterm as well as the wifi disconnect method and neither worked. Realterm doesn't seem to be sending the commands to the device. It instead just displays the command I sent in green lettering and nothing else. I am really getting hopeless now. The guy I bought it from wont answer my texts or calls so i can't get his gmail account or anything. I doubt it is stolen or anything due to the fact he gave me the box with the charger, s pen tips, sim tool, and everything. And yes, I checked and the serial number on the box does match the one on the phone. I am about to attempt to use odin to update it to 6.0.1 and see if the Realterm method works then. Does anyone have any ideas? It is for Sprint if that matters. Is it possible to root or flash a custom rom or anything to get passed this? Any help will be so greatly appreciated. This day started out so exciting and now is truly disappointing.
Thanks guys.
Ok, I got it figured out! I had to use odin and downgrade to N920PVPU2AOI6. Then downgrade bootloader to SM-N920P_OK3_BOOTLOADER. Then was able to insert a flash drive with the Google Bypass USB OTG.apk app on it into my phone. It automatically opened My Files when inserted, then I installed to app and bypassed it. The only thing now is in Download mode it still says "FRP lock: On" Although it seems to be fully functional and currently has my google account on it.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Glad you got your phone working, there are several guides on bypassing FRP on xda that may remove this message if you want to try them

Hello fellas,
I have a SM-G930F running Super Stock Rom 2.8, rooted with Magisk 12. This morning I was a little high and worried about getting my device stolen (my S6 was stolen at gun point three months ago), so I disabled OEM Unlock and USB debug in Developer mode, in a crazy attempt to increase the security and make things more difficult for the thief. WRONG! I have really screwed things up.
Now I get CUSTOM BINARY BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK and my device won't boot. The DOWNLOAD mode shows FRP LOCK is ON, this means I won't be able to flash anything with ODIN because it will fail at writing (that is what the FRP Lock is for). I am at work and my computer has the USB ports disabled, so there's nothing I can do until I get home.
This guy did the same stupid thing, except that he wasn't high
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/s7-edge-custom-binary-block-frp-lock-t3347688
I know that attempting a flash with ODIN can also cause this problem:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71692103&postcount=25
As soon as I get home, I will attempt the Smart Switch Emergency Recovery Function and I hope everything will be OK. Since it was my google account logged in, I won't have any problems with FRP (theoretically, it will ask me to login with the last account used on the previous configuration).
[UPDATE] There is this ADB thing I am completely unfamiliar with, not to mention I have disabled USB debug on the device prior to this. This file will disable FRP Lock but I don't know the procedure.

Any help will be much appreciated. This is my only phone and now I can't use it.
Just Flash with stock frimware to make it worked than it will stuck on google lock account than try to find ways on youtube.

Thanks for replying. Flashing stock firmware with FRP Lock will cause a write failure, are you sure about this? I will try it as soon as I arrive home. I didn't get that part where it will get stuck on google lock account, the device is mine and the latest google account used before was my personal google account. Could you please provide more details to complete the process?
I am also considering Smart Switch Emergency Factory Restore, that is my last shot before taking it to repair shop.
Dear sir kindly be sure the software is latest/i mean firmware
Hi,
had my phone locked too. Smart switch worked, aftter flashing twrp same problem. Got a factory rom from sammonbile and flashed cp, bl and ap with odin which brought it back.

I managed to solve it using Smart Switch, the firmware update did the trick. After restoring the system asked for last used credentials on previous configuration, like it was supposed to. Since it was my personal google account, there wasn't any problem with FRP Lock. Now I have installed TWRP and Super Stock Rom 2.8 again.
Leason learned, I will NEVER deactivate OEM Unlock again with a Custom ROM.
Thanks to everyone, this thread can be closed now.

Greetings, ever since i tried rooting my phone, i knew something went wrong (i used cf autoroot).
So the first thing i noticed, i was asked to reset the phone or something similar to that, meaning i would lose all my data.
I tried to find a workaround as this had never happened to me before while rooting a phone, and someone had said that i was supposed to download twrp
and change some partition and then change it back. I dont remember what else he mentioned and what exactly i tried doing, i realised it was formatted either way and i had to start fresh. As i setup my phone i went and switched the oem unlock back to "off", as i did not wanna attempt to root again, but i hadn't realised that my phone was infact rooted sucessfully, leading me to my first error after restarting. "Custom binary blocked by frp lock", with absolutely no access to recovery mode at all anymore. Again, trying to find a workaround, i download some stockfirmware that i atleast had hoped was the right one for my phone, after a couple failed attempts of flashing with odin, ( i had gotten various different error messeges on download mode screen such as (REV Check fail device 7 binary 0 and others witch i cannot remember), now im getting a new error screen, stating that an error has occured while updating the device software. I cant flash twrp recovery as the frp lock is on, and the only thing i can guess is that im flashing the wrong firmware, but i cant find a matching code at all.
Its the following: sm-g930fzkadbt
IMEI: 35214310282955
on the back of the phone it says uk yateley, although the phone was purchased in germany.
Im not sure what to do anymore, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
PS: I have managed to get back to the old error screen with the custom binary info, this time with bootloop, by checking the deviceinfo box on odin
Yep you've now learned the hard way not to mess about and read the proper guides.
Anyway "dbt" is just unbranded german firmware. Download UK "BTU" and flash with Odin, it's UK unbranded.
FRP lock means you'll need to unlock the phone with the google account and password that was on it before you started messing about with it.
If you don't know the google email and password you need to read up on how to bypass FRP lock and it's a nightmare.

Thanks for your reply, just a question, will any btu update work? Should i download latest android version btu firmware?
(Also yes, it was stupid of me to try and do it quick but i had rooted 3 different samsung galaxy phones in the past without issues, either i did something wrong or it took something way too specific to do the job, perhaps the phone's unrootable, but thank you either way) :fingers-crossed:

You'll likely only find the last version of BTU think it was August 2019. It isn't updated officially anymore but it'll be fine to use.

OK so i thought it worked but i can only enter recovery mode now and download mode, but cant actually boot the system, it just boots up the battery screen whenever i plug the charger, and never shows the actual battery info, just the thunder icon. Formatting from recovery mode doesn't help either (Note whenever i launch recovery mode it says installing update, then says no command and brings me to the recovery menu) Any ideas?
PS: It fixed itself. Sorry for the pointless edit.
Hi all,
I'm having a nightmare of a time with my Galaxy S7... For some unknown reason I decided to root my phone about 2 months ago using CF Auto Root.. worked great.. This morning, was having bad lag issues, so I restarted the phone.. as soon as the Samsung logo came up, I got a red message at the top of the screen saying "Custom Binary locked by FRP".. kind of freaked out and booted the phone into Recovery mode.. wiped Cache and wiped phone (to go back to factory setting I guess).. restarted... since then, I had no boot.. it did loop for a while as I was trying to charge the phone.. but that's it.
Now, the only way the phone will power on is if I plug it into my computer in Download Mode. I am trying to flash the ROM, custom or stock, but Odin fails almost as soon as it starts the sboot.bin and the phone screen shows "SW REV. CHECK FAIL (BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 6, BINARY: 1".. Also, When I try to power on the phone, it HAS to be plugged in to my computer or charger cable and it just loops with a message at the top of the screen.
I can't do anything with this phone and cant find any solutions online... please help! :crying:
PM me for images of all screens please
I had the some problem while playing with my handset I switched off OEM unlock for some reason under developer option..
Next time i reset my handset it stuck on that warning
You need to download combination file, flash it with odin, then unlock developer mode, toggle OEM unlock, than flash back your current firmware, or if you have full twrp back up restore it

This problem appears on the forum over and over. Its a direct result of not understanding what type of S7 you have and what you need to do before modification.
The error you have in Odin means the firmware you are trying to flash is older than the bootloader file on your device. You can never downgrade a bootloader only upgrade.
In your case you need to flash a firmware version 6 or above for your device. So if you have a branded T Mobile for example you will need to download and flash T Mobile firmware version 6 or above. The firmware must also be for your region where you live.
The FRP lock is because you didn't sign out of, or remove the Google account on the device before modification. Its a security feature. It will still appear after you've flashed firmware but as long as you know the email and password the phone will start fine.

Dammit.. I tried to put as much detail as possible in there lol.. obviously I forgot some.. My mistake the Galaxy s7 that I am using is a Rogers Mobile (Canada) SM-G930W8. As for not signing out before modification, omfg, that makes perfect sense.. didn't even think of doing that before rooting.. I appreciate the help!! I will give this a go and see what outcome I get.. Thanks!
[/COLOR]That was nice of you to respond so helpfully, despite you having seen the scenario posted over and over.

The S7 didn't receive Android 9 so the ROM is a custom one. Any issues with custom ROM's should be asked on the ROM thread itself where you got the ROM from. It's quite normal for custom ROM'S to have bugs.
You can try flashing the ROM (Android 9 Pie) again to see if it works. If not there are several different A9 ROM's to choose from.
