Hello everyone,
anyone experienced the main screen dimming to a very low brightness level " in the sun " and no difference happens if i switched off adaptive brightness and got it to the max. I am not sure if that is related to the phone heating, but in general sometimes it dims very quick without even having the phone that heated.
OR maybe the phone gets heated very fast with simple use in the sun light.. any experiences related to that issue ??
Thank you great people.
Can't confirm your observation ... . But there is an option to dimm the screen in the settings of the energy or battery saving mode.
m.
It's a false positive from the light sensor. Some phones add a special setting to increase the brightness when it's overly bright to offset it, but I haven't come across one for this phone. It's a little impressive that so few phones actually address it after it's been a known issue so long.
I thought this issue was fixed already... what sw version are you on? share the device' model number as well please.
Additionally, submit error report to Samsung Members after reproducing the issue, you should be able to get guidance on how to get the fix...

no that is not the case, it happens even when not enabling the power saving mode.

If you don't have Samsung Members app installed then go to Galaxy or Play store and download it. In the app, click the Blue circle with+ icon. Then select Error Report.
Provide as much detail about the issue as you can and if possible include any screenshots or screen recording (make sure it's 1 issue per ticket).
Sorry for the late Reply... hope this helps and any future issues, submit a ticket as your first step so Samsung can start working on the issue while you look for work arounds or fixes
It might be a bug related to overheating. Had that happen to mine. The phone becomes too hot and dims the screen, turns off multi-window.

Those who don't know there are some people having ghost touch issues on POCO f1 and one guy able to capture it on the video. I personally didn't had the issue but after trying I was able to recreate the issue on my device. soon after I found the cause and able to fix the issue. this may or may not work on your device but absolutely worked for me. this seems to be a software bug. and no-one needs to panic. hopefully it will be fixed in next update.
how to recreate the issue?
Steps
1. download a multi touch tester app I used this
2. first do some testing yourself see if you can spot the issue
3. now do 3 finger swipe down (phone will take screenshot)
4. now randomly touch your screen with 1 or 2 fingers you'll notice 1 or 2 ghost touches.
How to fix Fix it?
Steps
1. go to settings>additional settings>button and gesture shortcuts>take a screenshot
2. and set it to none.
3. reboot
that's it!
the issue should be fixed
please let me know whether this worked for you or not
Yes.
As you mentioned issue was there.
But fixed with those steps.

Good stuff. I was skeptical at first since I knew something was off sometimes. Thanks for confirming it. Should be fixed if they took notice of this bug.
Thanks! The issue is 100% reproducible with the app. By turning off 3 finger screenshot shortcut, the issue goes away.
Guys, please file a bug, so this can be fixed and we can go back to using this feature.
1.Yes, that issue is due to the screenshot feature, but shouldn't the phone be able to distinguish between 3 finger touch and more than 3? Either take screenshot on four finger swipe or register it.
2.Can you please confirm if there is accuracy problem in PUBG aiming when you use multitouch? Like the multitouch bugs in Pixel and Zenfone Max Pro but quite subtle, the thing about the other devices are, they look and have been acknowledged by the respective companies regarding the issue but in our case, Xiaomi or Poco is making no announcement or anything.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5K2N6McC_s
The issue comes up after taking a 3 finger screenshot, but disabling may not be the only solution as this feature is quite useful also
What I have noticed is that after taking screenshot ghost touch is there till we use 1,2 or 3 fingers. Once we use 4, 5 or higher fingers the issue goes away.
Isn't it better to just touch screen with 4 fingers after taking a screenshot which somehow resets the ghost touch issue.
Have tried this solution with multi touch tester app
Mine is just fine even when 3 finger swipe screenshot is switched on
I can confirm that ghost touch issue still persist even when disabling three finger screenshot.
Mostly visible in pubg.
Great, fix worked
I didn't relize the issue but nice posting
Stop it! This is not an issue. It happens on mostly every phone that supports gestures. Test it on OnePlus 6 and you will get the same result.

Exactly! There is no need to prove this issue because Google itself confirms that they have done a mistake by releasing it in Oreo and they have also promised to give a fix in later Pie updates. And people who wants proofs can look up in the internet about the "Multi touch Oreo Bug" problem and how it effects user experience rather than spamming here to make a point.

Dude, google fixed the issue in the May or June patch and all other OEM's had to merge their builds to fix it. The problem is not there in MiA1 or MiA2.
Here is the bug:

Thanks
Maybe the original solution for 8.1 and P devices will work for this? It will either cause a bootloop, do nothing, or fix it... worth trying! Obviously an unlocked bootloader is needed for this (Magisk).
I just flashed the new Android 11 beta on my Pixel 4 to just check out what's new and thought we could have a little discussion about some of the bigger changes and opinions. The changes I immediately am excited about are:
1) Finally added a pause/play gesture to project Soli!! (Works fantastic)
2) In the display settings, there is now a toggle to increase display touch sensitivity for screen protectors
3) Added a new qs icon for the built in screen recording
While testing the new Soli pause/play, I also immediately noticed how much more improved all of the hand gestures are. Not just the new pause, but also the skipping forward and backwards are so much more accurate and successful for me. It's an extremely welcome change and while Soli always worked decent for me, on the 11 beta I'm getting about 95%-99% success on all hand gestures compared to my about 80% on Android 10.
The screen sensitivity is another welcome addition for me personally. I have a glass screen protector and with the new option enabled, I can absolutely feel a difference in display response. I will admit that before updating, I hadn't had any screen responsiveness complaints but now that there's an option to improve it, I am very pleased with the results. If anything, it may be a tiny bit too responsive. While typing this post out, Gboard seems to occasionally hit a letter before I actually make contact with the screen. Other than that, it's fantastic. My back gestures seem to be the most beneficial from this.
The screen recording qs icon is a cool new addition, although I had native screen recording enabled on Android 10, there was no super quick way to start a recording session.
Lastly, I noticed a few new things in developer options but as I'm no Dev, I really don't know what they do. Oh, they did add a screen frame-rate overlay so you can see the current refresh rate of your screen.
I will be running this for a few days to see if and how battery life is affected and I'll post my findings here. Feel free to comment additional findings or opinions on the new Android 11 beta!
Here are some screenshots of my findings so far.

Strange, I haven't heard of this being an issue for anyone else yet. I even dirty flashed the 11 beta, didn't erase my userdata so I was expecting issues and it's been flawless. Try re-flashing the Android 11 factory image, that we almost certainly fix your issue.

Yeah, Google pay does not work on it. I received a pop up about it earlier this morning.
For those having face unlock setup issues: Factory reset your phone either in recovery or the settings menu. This happens when you don't clear face unlock before flashing a factory image with the -w option.
(Also, finally hitting my 1000th post with this 10 years later... Can't believe it's been that long)

Right, so no fix really... disappointing as the cameras are impressive
My device came shipped with Android Pie Based Miui 11, no screen weirdness. Just after the Android 10 updates that ghost touches appear. So I guess it's just software bug.
me too, sure software problem.
Thanks for the feedback, if software-related were you able to roll back to fix this?
Happy to try a workaround as I'm very reluctant to send it back..
worth a try though, but unfortunately Xiaomi didn't provide stock ROM specifically for my region so I left with no choice
Completely puzzled as I did a Factory Reset via Recovery and haven't seen the issue for past 2 days, I've left the screen touch tracing on and no 'ghost touch' was recorded..
so I don't know what to believe anymore, got an open return ticket but would hate to send it back without needing to..
how can I make sure issue is gone?
Hi, i had this problem 3 weeks ago, temporary solved with hard reset, worked perfectly until yesterday night when this problem went back.
Hard reset again, problem still there.
Someone solved it permanently?
It is really weird because, if i turn off/on the display, sometime works sometime not :S
The phone came with Android 9 and I started to face this after updating to Android 10. The issue is not extreme as shown in the video, it just the touch becomes slow to respond and hard to type fast with the keyboard. Turning off the screen and turning back on solves it temporarily sometimes.
I tried disabling on screen fingerprint and the problem seems to be reduced now. Definitely a software bug
I'm using Mi note 10 lite it also has same problem. Sometime touch freezing and after press power button automatically fix. Some time need to restart. And also one person told me he is fixed by this issue by turned off fingerprint sensor.

I have the exact same problem as you, slow to respond and hard to type. Need to apply more force on the screen for it to respond. This happened randomly throughout the day but are more common during night time for me.
I think it has something to do with the screen lock pin or fingerprint, by changing the screen lock from ie pin to pattern or turning off fingerprint print seems to temporary fix the issue. Another solution is to reboot the phone. I'm using Note 10 Lite btw.

Hi, I am using the KW66 smartwatch for 6 months. A few days back, the screen of my watch starts flickering on white color. I have tried resetting the device but nothing happened. can somebody guide me? I have also written a complaint on Gloryfit App but no reply so far!
IMO screen flickering doesn't come out of the blue.
Screen flickering issue is associated with software malfunctions usually get resolved by performing some workarounds. But your chance of obtaining quick and ultimate solution is higher if you could pinpoint the root cause. And this is what you should do first. To help you isolate the problem, try to think of what has happened before the onset of the problem. For example, did your watch's screen start to flicker after making some changes to the display settings or options other than the brightness level? Or did it begin to occur after installing a new app, contents, or Android update? Prior actions are usually the trigger so that is what you need to find out first. Among the possible triggers for you to consider would include but not limited to rogue apps, corrupted files like photos and videos, broken segments or files in the SD card, and software bugs. Once you’ve successfully dealt with the culprit, you’ll finally find the remedy.
I am attaching snapshot of problem for your kind perusal
Can you upload a video of the screen flickering here or else can you send it to below mentioned mail plzz??

Hey guys!
I'm currently on ArrowOS 07.09 build with firmware 12.5.1. In the last 2 weeks I got ghost touch issues quite frequent. The phone starts to recognize touches crazy fast without me touching it and doing random things. I have to lock the phone with the power button to make it stop.
Does anyone else have or had the same issue? Is it a hw or sw related issue in your opinion? Any tips, ideas, working methods are welcome to make it stop.
Thank you!
It's mostly a SW issue , but it can also be a hardware issue(extremely rare),change the room to pixel plus UI 3.7 most stable(tested by me).
edit: also less bugs than others and very fluent.
I had the same problem. The solution is to turn off the Game Turbo app. Your problem will be solved.
Mine problem is solved by send it to service center. They replaced screen module.
Reporting.
For anyone facing heavy ghost touch issue, you might want to try indonesian miui 12.5.2 rom (rjuidxm)
Previously I got ghost touch on xiaomi.eu 12.0.4, 12.5.1, 12.5.2 to 12.5.4, few arrow OS version, to the point that I got tired of testing backing up restoring and doing clean flash everytime, because this is my primary phone I use for daily driver
But now I have used miui 12.5.2 ID for 9 days and haven't faced any ghost touch.. I also always turned on show taps on dev options so that I'll know if theres any ghost touch, and theres none so far (I have 6/128 unit with tianma panel)
But there's huge performance drop in this rom, game that I play (PGR) have noticeable frame drops where theres none before, others also reported lower performance on genshin impact
i dont have such issue
at least i dont notice it responding to "something" when i just leave it on table
btw, clothing contacts are also contact

software my friend , i write it fast
For me, it has helped now to set the refresh rate and the screen to 60 Hz. We'll see for how long. All other activities did not help, including the game turbo exclusion.
Unfortunately, but with the 60 Hz refresh, the touch has gone crazy once, but it probably happens less often
well it depends on what screen you have, if it's tianma the ghost touch is "normal" and will only get worse because is hardware related, if it's Huaxing it's probably software related or (very bad luck) defective screen...
you can know your screen:
If you are on a Custom ROM or have installed Magisk:
1. Download Device Info HW application
2. Tap on 3 dots in the right corner of the application
4. Restart the app
5. Check LCM (above touchscreen)
dsi_j20s-42-02-0b <- CSOT/Huaxing
dsi_j20s-36-02-0a <- Tianma
If you are on MIUI without root:
1. Open your dialer and enter: *#*#284#*#*;
2. Open a File Manager, go to ~/MIUI/debug_log/ directory, you should see an archive named bugreport-yyyy-mm-dd-HHMMSS; (Date and time when bugreport was created)
3. Extract that archive, then extract another archive which was in bugreport zip, its name should look like this - bugreport-vayu_global-RKQ1.200826.002-2021-05-27-13-32-52.
4. In bugreport-vayu_global folder open dumpstate_board.txt and type in search tianma. If it's found, you have tianma, otherwise huaxing.
Thanks. I checked my tianma. I found such a coincidence "MDPPLATFORM_PANEL_TIANMA_NT36672C_J20S_LCD_VIDEO" How do you think to advertise the phone?
Well there is many reports that it fixed with MIUI 12.5.5.0 global latest update. ( confirm it, please!?)

yes my phone update the MIUI to 12.5.5.0 and everything its good and smooth but I'm a little scared, if another update ends up breaking the device. On the other hand, I activated the option, to see the touches on the screen through the developer options, and detect that when I use YouTube and try to put a video in landscape using the button in the video, a single ghost touch appears in the middle of the screen, it does not affect at all apparently, but it seems to me that the ghost touches were not corrected correctly or in its entirety.
