Anyone else who owns a Touch Cruise have their touch screen just stop functioning altogether? I came back to use my phone which was just sitting in the car and the touch screen no longer works...Obviously this did not happen due to being dropped, though it was a little warm nothing unusual by any standard.
All the hardware keys work, everything else...just the touch screen is dead. Has anyone else had this happen and if so were there any steps to reviving the screen or was replacing it an option, if so what did you do?

I had this problem with mine, it was just to send it to their lovely repair center through the dealership since I still got my Warranty, they exchanged the front panel, witch senses the touching. Depending on where in the world you live you should be able to by a separate one, or get it repaired by them. I hope it solves for you...
Thanks, I am well out of the 1 year warrant and in the US, which is not even where this phone was originally warranted so there is no chance of that.
I believe the cost of repair outside of warranty, and the time it would take that I would be out of my phone would not be worth it. I am hoping that I could purchase a replacement screen and repair it myself...Anyone have any direction here to do so?
Let me clarify something in regards to the malfunction. The screen itself is still visible and I can see everything as I would normally on a fully functioning lcd screen...The screen simply does not respond to any touch!

Hi try getting into the screen set up, ie where you tap the screen on first boot. You can use the program "mymobiler" to operate the screen through the computer.

I´m getting tired of all the problems with my loved Touch Cruise.
Well it started out couple of weeks ago. I just turned on my wing and the touch screen just suddenly stopped working. So after few research I concluded it was the digitizer's problem so I just went ahead and replaced the whole digitizer and the screen. Everything is in a perfect fit I double checked it and the touch screen still doesn't work. Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks in advance!

Ok so I am new to this so please excuse the ignorance. So I replaced my touch screen digitizer put everything back together and worked . But after a few a weeks the touch screen just stopped working. So I wiped the data and still no response. Do I need to do a firmware update. This is pretty frustrating. Any input would be good thanks for looking and your time.

I've bought a new screen + digitizer and replaced it with my broken screen. At first it didn't work...but after updating my N5 device with a OTA cable and a mouse i worked for about a day. But this morning it was unresponsive again.
I've opened it up and checked that every ribbon cable is correctly installed.
The screen turns on fine, but the touch screen is unresponsive.
Any one who has a fix for this or know what to do?
Sounds like a hardware problem to me.
Your previous screen is completely dead ? If the previous screen worked try to put it back and see if it's ok. Maybe you damaged the flex cable or something. The nexus's connectors are really bad...
I've a very similar situation here. Where did you get the screen? Mine seems to work fro a couple minutes then it's unresponsive.
I think the screen is defective. I have replaced the screens on 6 or 7 nexus 5 phones with 3rd party frame/LCD/glass units from Aliexpress and they all continue to work after several months of use.
i have this question also. i can use my touch screen at the first time but not after reboot . Display works very fine to my new screen with digitizer.

I bought an ASUS Pegasus 5000 (x005) and after a year of use his Touch stopped working. I already bought another screen, thinking that the defect was on the screen, but it did not work. My cell phone did not fall or impact, but it warmed up when I carried it. Does anyone have a solution? I already accessed the self-test menu, but it did not work. I already did a Hard Reset and it also did not work. Can anybody help me? Please!!
