POCO X3 BRICKED AFTER FALLING - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

my device just fell from my hand yesterday, but it dont have a single scratch.
then i realized that sim not working then i just restarted the phone and ended in bootloop
i didnt unlocked bootloader so i cant flash any roms or else
from my knowledge i dont know how to unlock bootloader without mi unlock tool
please help me if you can,im still in the warranty period, will they help me?

If as you say there is no visible external damage, then yes, they are very likely to help you. Don't tell them you dropped it though. It's better you get it checked with them during warranty.
Also recommend you get a good case and screen protector.

moto g bootloader finally locked again but the warning screen remain . help!

hello guys!
it is my first post.
we purchased for my sister the moto g and in order to make it more efficient with greenify etc i unlocked the bootloader and have a root but a week later when my sister took the moto g in her hands and had her sim cut (the guy in vodafone told her it is the same) the screen started blinking and the wifi died after 5 hours with her sim card.
so i had to re lock the bootloader and un root the device in order to ask for a replacement .
my problem is that my device is now
"DEVICE IS LOCKED. STATUS CODE : 2"
but
when i boot the device the warning screen with "warning bootloader unlocked" appears again..
what should i do in order to request an rma as the screen is blikining all the time and my device is wifi off always
thank you in advance

Once you unlock bootloader the warranty is void even if you relock. There is a thread about how to alter the warning screen but is cosmetic only, it does not give you back your warranty.

That doesn't work, its one stock logo file but depending on locked or unlocked it displays no warning or warning. There is a thread for a 'special' logo file which needs flashing.

Total and utter balls. Your warranty is only void as a result of unlocking the bootloader if the manufacturer can prove the damage to the phone was directly caused by the unlocking - such as if you overclock the device. Otherwise the warranty is still applicable - this has been stated time and again in UK and European cases.
Read the post above. If you're from Europe, you got no problem asking for RMA, even if you've unlocked it.
But to get peace of mind, you can always flash the original logo ( may require unlocking the bootloader again, cos I'm not sure if you can flash unsigned images if the bootloader is locked, then lock it again).

True, good luck taking Motorola to court to get your phone fixed should you ever need to though. I assume Motorola can afford better lawyers than most users.

You don't need to take them to court. In the UK it's covered by the "Sales of Goods Act", and in Europe there are similar things.
The phone manufacturers aren't actually stupid. They may try to not repair it, but as soon as you start quoting the relevant stuff at them they will back down because they can't afford to be in a bad light in front of the European courts - especially not with all the litigation going on at the moment.

abnormal phone behaviour with 5.0.2 need help

first of all, i have searched a lot about the issue i am having, i have not found a single one as mine.
XT1033 with locked bootloader
It started with 5.0.2 ota update, the update file was downloaded and flashing was smoothly done, after the final restart it stuck in a boot loop (on the moto logo white coloured). i straight away went to service center and they told me that my motherboard was the issue, needs to be changed for almost the cost of the phone itself.
then i thought of trying somethings from here (xda), found [5.0.2][Restore to Stock][XT1033] Asia Retail [Dual Sim][4.4.2/4.4.2][LockBootloader] i tried flashing stock firmware from this thread not flashing the "mfastboot.exe oem lock begin" and "mfastboot.exe oem lock" part. And the phone started!!!! i was laughing about the motherboard thing
Used it for about 15 days with no bug, no issues, no random reboots, the again one day it simply went into bootloop again, i was sure that there was a hardware issue, but then again i went through the same procedure and it was again working, this same process has happened for about 4-5 times on the last month.
i would like to know:
1. Is it a hardware issue? (service center people will surely make me buy a new motherboard)
2. Is it some kind of issue with the lollipop, downgrading to kitkat will help?
3. any permanent solution (or will i have to format the phone every 10 days?)
any help is very much appreciated.

Replacing the motherboard is a very bad idea as you can buy a new phone from that money
You can try unlocking the bootloader and flashing a custom ROM
PS- After unlocking BL You can take a backup is your data partition with a custom recovery and then no worries of data loss
So this is not a hardware issue??

I can't tell you that now because it may be after all a hardware issue
Now
Is your phone in warranty?
Do you have any problem in unlocking the bootloader?

no, the phone is not in warranty.
And about unlocking the boot loader, one option for me was to get a new moto g 2014 with exchange offer on flipkart (i am from india and flipkart is reducing about Rs 3000 for this phone). So i am not sure that if i unlock the boot loader will they accept it??
is there a way to relock it and make it stock?

Yes you can lock the bootloader again but that's I think not gonna help because when you unlock your device you need to get the unlock code from Motorola only, so they after all know that you unlocked it once
And buying a second gen moto g is not a good deal at current time as the internals are almost same on both devices and besides you are getting only Rs 3000 off that's not a big amount on money considering that you may still be able to save your device

And please think before talking any step
I said "you may be able to save your device" and not "you will surely be able to save your device"
Don't blame me if custom ROMs are not able to solve your problem
These things don't always have a desired output
Now if you are ready for some customs things my suggestions to you
* Use either philz touch latest or TWRP from xda ( and not from TWRP's official site)
* For ROMs , if you still want to stick with Motorola's stock ROM you can try custom recovery flashable zip made by @lost101
He made both normal variants and optimised ones
*Or if you wanna use custom ROMs try CM 12.1 latest nightly
*Read properly how to flash everything
*If while flashing anything you see any error in logs report back ( it may be able to tell if there's a hardware fault)

[Q] Could anyone lend me a hand on rooting?

Looking into rooting my XT1045 and just need a place to start. If anyone could drop some links or help me in any way that'd be nice . Btw I have never rooted a phone before, so is there any big hazards other than a voided warranty I should be aware of? (e.g corrupting the ROM) Anyway thanks!
To root your device you need to unlock bootloader first so it avoids warranty (mayby not, depends on country)

Fingerprint issue

Hello everyone ..
I have oneplus 8 with unlocked bootloader and rooted all was good but after relock bootloader and back to stok the fingerprint doesn't work , i get massage Enrollment was not completed, i tried flash rom again and unlocked bootloader but still not working i don't have any idea for this issue, please can you help me to solution this issue ? :crying:
same problem , up.
I've read the 25 or so pages from here as I'm in the same boat. It looks like a return to OnePlus for repair is the only solution https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-8-pro/help/enrollment-problem-wont-register-t4089787
Hi,
I had the same problem with the fingerprint sensor.
As I received the phone I decided to unlock the bootloader. But as i realized that it'll take a while until TWRP provide a stable recovery, I decided to roll back.
Nothing what i tried (factory reset, etc.) brought the fingerprint sensor back. The OnePlus support couldn't (or didn't want to) help in this regards too.
Since I bought the phone via Amazon (de) I sent it back. I got my money back and bought a new one.
Cheers!
Up up up up
This bug should have never made it past quality control .
If OnePlus even have quality control.
And now you guys get to see first hand how completely **** their customer service is
No solution as yet. I am in the same boat.
Isn't this solved by flashing your (hopefully) backed up persist.img via fastboot?

Question Issues afte updating to MIUI Global stable 2.5.5

Incorrect battery report, device heating up even in general use (not gaming), and due to heating, i had to use fan and/or phone cooler just to get fast charging working, since fast charging is disabled if phone gets too hot. Is anybody else having this issues after updating to MIUI global 2.5.5? I just got this phone for about 3 months now and my device is still vanilla, never unlocked bootloader.

You sure? Since I've been reading about bricked devices because of downgrading and I don't want to destroy my only device.

If your bootloader is locked, you have warranty covered. Xiaomi support center/customer service need to help you out of your problem if there's any.

I'd like to avoid any problem as much as possible. So without any confirmation if that method is safe, I'll just gonna look for other method that is safe guarantee.
Android modding is too complicated nowadays I won't even bother to unlock bootloader. This is the first device that I haven't rooted within a week after buying it.

When downgrading, the most issue is regarding the ARB index of MIUI ROM and Anti version of your phone.
There's explanation in step 11 here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/4288121/post-85137963
Downgrading without unlock bootloader you can read here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/4356497/

Even official Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco cannot guarantee you their phone will not brick with normal use, so they give the warranty period.
