I bought the Redmi Note 10 (not the pro version) about 2 weeks ago. Last night I decided to run Cpu-Z and I was surprised when it said it's running on the Snapdragon 635 when all specs online say it should be running the 638. Does CPU-Z not recognize the 638 or do I have a strange phone?
Additionally run an alternate tool like AIDA64 what is freely availabe on Google Play store.

For anybody who (maybe) will buy the Redmi Pro... Xiaomi also sell phones in India, but they can not sell MediaTek devices, so the need a Snapdragon version, like on the Redmi Note 3.
I just post this to warn you, if you never had a Xiaomi device before. Just wait a lil bit and you will get a better version for the same price.
Whats bad with mediatek? I had meizu mx5 and it worked great.

xiaomi has some patent issue with Ericsson and they can only sell qualcomm devices in india as per Delhi high court orders. Xiaomi already has Mi max at the same price bracket. i don't think they will bring redmi pro to India.

If its the Indian variant it lost all appeal -_-"
BTW, yeah don't buy MTK variant or you will be stuck on the shipped android version forever, no custom roms, nada.
I don't even think Xiaomi is gonna release it with Qualcomm. You know, Deca-Core is the thing they're marketing for Redmi Pro. But there's no Qualcomm SoC having 10 cores. The whole idea behind a "Pro" Redmi is 10-cores and OLED. As you know, they can't release MtK device in India. So, there's will not be any Redmi Pro without MTK. Thus, don't wait for a Qualcomm variant. You'll wait forever.

The GPU is not only for games but the Snapdragon version will be much better. About 2 months you will get a better Redmi Pro for almost the same price, like with the Redmi Note 3.

Read my comment posted above. There'll not be any Qualcomm variant of Redmi Pro.
Thats what you think but thats not important, because Xiaomi will sell phones. No India means no good for xjaomi, so the have to rls a snapdragon version.
India is very important for xiaomi so they surely shall release it with sd 652 (maybe).

Dear Klanac,
I am planning to replace Mi 5 Pro with Redmi Pro, but may you advise us what's the problem with MediaTek devices as this device will have X25T version which is better than Snapdragon 820 version.
Thanks.

The problem is the GPU. Also when you won't play games. Maybe on paper is the X25 better but when you use a Note 3 Pro, it feels even better than any X25 device.
Just wait a lil bit and after Note 2 release you will se another version of the Redmi Pro.
I dont understand why you hate Mediatek so much. I had MX5 and it was nearly as fast as RN3 Pro. And there was Helio X10 and I'm talking about daily usage.

There's no guarantee that Xiaomi will release a Snapdragon variant just because it did it with the RN3. It may release only the RP Mini to India; why else would they release the Mini with a Snapdragon processor? It costs Xiaomi more.
Also, I previously owned both variants of the RN3, and the MediaTek version's camera was superior to the Snapdragon's camera.
I've already ordered the MediaTek variant and plan to run the developer ROM until TWRP and xiaomi.eu support appear.
So, finally Fortnite made their way to non Samsung devices. The rumor has it that it only runs on devices with Snapdragon 800 series and Adreno 530 and above. However, I have checked on Google and found that our device can also run the game preety smooth. However, since the game is not available on Play store due to a conflict between Google and Epic Games in terms of revenue, you need to download and install the game from the official website of fortnite (link given below). Although, Nokia 7 plus is not listed under compatible device list, but you can go ahead and download the installer.
So, how many of you have tried the game on Nokia 7 plus and is it really working and how is the gameplay?

It shows that device does not meet minimum requirements

As we know Snapdragon 675 has 2x Higher performance kryo 460 cores which are featured in Snapdragon 855,which are very powerful.
Fortnite can be easily playable with that specifications atleast by theory.
Is there any port that helps Fortnite to run on Redmi Note 7 Pro

Just update to miui 10.2.10
Yup I know but for some reason it's not functioning good in my rn7pro.
Everytime I start a match it starts the match and instantly it send me to the lobby ? which is very unfortunate. So I will try to reinstall it maybe some issues with the file.
Yep,it works perfectly on my Redmi Note 7 Pro, the 3D resolution is set at 75% and there is no sort of lagging or stuttering...
I'm currently running MIUI 10.8.2.0 ( Stable)(Global)
and I think the performance would improve with the MIUI 10.2.10 update...which is being rolled out slowly.
Hello. So, recently back in July, a game named Sky Children of Light arrived on iOS devices. It's more of an adventure type game, created by the same devs who made games like Journey. And they've also announced the game on Android too and it's up for pre register. What I would want to know is the minimum system requirements needed to play this game on an android device and I hope it's not like Fortnite where it's only released on specific devices.
My device: Honor 8 Lite, 4GB RAM, 64 GB ROM, Android 8.0, EMUI 8.0

why not contact the devs directly?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tgc.sky.android No Install nor buy nor else button for now.
From Apple store: "Requires iOS 9.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone 5s, ..blah-blah-blah, iPhone 8", 197 MB.
So it would run on 1GB RAM Android phones too.
I think it's able to run it, but I wouldn't recommend. my phone has the snapdragon 630 (gpu adreno 508) can run it at around 20-30fps at lowest setting, the close one to it is the snapdragon 625 (adreno 506) which is barely the same in graphics performance, but still far better than the mali t830-mp2 on the kirin 655 in your phone. I dont think you should consider kirin cpu for gaming overall, even with their game mode (only works for a number of games)
hey guys i hope you all well and safe
i bought s 22 ultra 1 month ago and i wanted to be sure its a snapdragot so i downloaded the cpu z and its say i have "taro"
my phone wans heating alot etc... after 1 month i sold the phone and bought iphone 14 pro max but didnt like it so i bought s22 ultra again lolll
now when i checked with the cpu z app it say snapdragon gen 1 ?
so whats the diffrence? i know them both snapdragon and the "taro" is just code name but why my other phone say snapdragon?
it looks like somthing not the same here.... any idea why some device say "taro" and other say " snapdragon"
somthing need to be diffrent no?
probably different firmware?
running a newer/older version of android/oneui?

no, running same firmware and last one
Taro is the codename for the Snapdragon Gen 1, you can just Google it and find numerous references.... It could be there were different versions of CPU-Z showing either codename or "official" name, not sure as I don't use CPU Z, though....
