Hi guys... I have MIUI Global 12.0.6 but the thing is that the battery drops 20% without using my phone, is it normal? Also, full-screen gestures is not working. Is there a way to make it work?

Not sure about the battery drain, but the gestures are only supported using the default launcher. Are you using anything other than the POCO Launcher?

Me neither, waiting for the right ROM to flash because I'm really used to full screen features but that prevents me from using Niagara... Also never really liked MIUI at all.
But maybe that's also related with the battery drain. Maybe something happens under the hood when you're using third party launchers that makes the CPU to be constantly working... I wouldn't be surprised.
Maybe try switching to POCO Launcher for a couple days to see if you notice a difference.

You need to add FNG to the "Auto started" apps.
The only issue I have is the navigation bar becomes enabled on each reboot. You need to enter settings->additional->gestures to re-enable full screen gestures and no issues until next reboot.
Yep I have already done that but for some reason it keeps getting disabled, idk why...

Strange. No one issue on my side and I using it for since some weeks ago.
It stops working randomly and if I wait a few minutes a message appears at the bottom of the screen "FNG enabled" And then it works normally ... So annoying.
Have you tried to exec "adb logcat" to try to know whats exactly the issue you have?

What do you mean by FNG? MIUI own infinite screen option with gestures? Or some third party app?

MIUI Full screen Gestures aren't working with Third Party Launchers.
Due to that, I use FNG app, that is working perfectly (at least in my case)
FNG: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fb.fluid
Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately it has been discontinued, and now in Android 11 you can no longer hide the navigation bar, which was a must for me.

In order to hide navigation bar on MIUI 12.x (Android 11) you need to enable full screen gestures on MIUI settings.
Full screen gestures aren't working with thrid party launchers, but navigation bar becomes hidden and gestures are working perfect on FNG, even if discontinued (like I've explained some posts ago).

I see, FNG does work, although it's a bit glitchy with the bottom actions, can't really pull from the beginning of the screen like with the side actions. But good tip, thanks!

Hi Jotasejota,
I had similar drain issues that were resolved by playing with location permissions (via Privacy protection), I set it so no app has permanent access and selected just few apps I need to use location only when an app is in use. For gestures I can't help as I don't use Miui launcher.

Works perfectly well on my Note 9 with pie/One ui so I don't see any reason not to.
I'm planning to get S10+ and after installing Nova, Fluid gesture is the second thing I do!
I received my phone yesterday (US - Snapdragon) and I can report that FNG works perfectly fine.
Nice find, If the ADs in this are not a pain in the ass I will swap from using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xda.nobar&rdid=com.xda.nobar
this one uses less permissions.

Yep, it has some bugs. The FP icon is lower than it should be because the phone should shows up navbar but fluid tries to hide it.
I had the same issue. Hope developer can find the way to work out that issue.

Im getting this too. It kinda sux but it's not a deal breaker... for now.
In Fluid Navigation gestures unhide nav bar the icon issue gets resolved.

Ok I found another way that's much smoother. First in Samsung settings disable gesture navigation, so the navigation bar is visible.
Then you need to hide the navigation bar from Fluid Navigation gestures.
I found if you have both enabled they keep fighting each other.

If you use that way, the fingerprint sensor location show up not correctly, it needs to be a little bit higher because you hide the navigation bar by adb command.
I found the best way to use any navigation bar gesture without samsung and other apps fighting each other but you will need 'setting database edit' app. I am still testing it since yesterday night and it is running flawlessly so far.
Please do tell I see the way I did it, it comes up hit or miss on the correct location. I have gotten used to it. I'm still getting used to this phone, the oneplus 6 was just a lot more intuitive. This phone i have been fiddling for 3 days. I kind of like how it is now
Why don't u use One Hand Operation+ from Samsung? It works better. I prefer the default Samsung gestures though. I guess big hands make it easier to use.

A quick guide please!
Got my S10+ today. Got Fluid Navigation Gestures working fine so far but after i locked the phone and i am back in there is than no gestures and no navbar so i am kinda stuck.
Anybody else got that problem? If so you got any solution to fix it?
So I have it running but the fingerprint has moved down to the bottom of the screen any idea on a fix or have I stuffed something up?

Hi, i found that feature, but after restart phone that reset and you will must do it again.
1. download SetEdit app from Google Play
2. in fluid app let hide bar setting disabled (don't hide navbar by this app) and enable gesture control by fluid.
3. Set the gesture control in the system settings (original by samsung)
4. Run SetEdit app and in Global Table find
navigation_bar_gesture_disabled_by_policy set value to 1
navigation_bar_gesture_while_hidden set value to 1
You may be prompted to grant authorization SetEdit app through ADB.
That's work perfectly for me, but maybe don't for you, be careful.
I apologize for not linking the apps, but I can't. I'm a new user and I don't have enough posts

That's a great solution and works great! You're an absolute life saver!! The only issue is that the 'navigation_bar_gesture_disabled_by_policy' value keeps reverting back to 0 every so often which makes it quite annoying to keep on.
Is there a fix for this? That would be great!

Installing now
Seems fine on my PH1 but then I never seem to have all the weird issues others have. Stock unrooted.
Maybe a placebo, but I've noticed a marked improvement in touch and scrolling.
Edit: I've had it running the latest beta for. 12 hours, and have noticed the standby battery drain is much improved for me compared to previous betas.
Also feel faster so far. When I was travelling with maps and play music on it got painfully slow, hanging all the time. Now it looks better. But banking app still not working :/ not sure how I'm going to get it working.

My beta 4 has been working flawlessly besides the screen studder when I swipe home from within EVERY app. Getting great battery life, 6.5hr+ on screen time with every charge, with 4hrs+ of them being streaming videos. If I don't watch videos, this phone will easily last at least 3.5-4 days. All this at 60% screen brightness.
With that said, I'd hate to install beta 5 and have new issues and worse battery life.
Beta 5 has been good for me. Good battery life about as good as beta 4 was but the only issue I have is even after going full gesture navigation. It seems to go back to 3 button mode randomly and I'll have to change it back. Also I don't see the option to enable the side peek feature that was supposed to be a part of beta 5

Are you using the stock launcher? Supposedly Google added a "feature" that blocks you from using full gestures if you're using a 3rd party launcher on beta 5.

Hmm na I'm currently using rootless pixel launcher because in beta 4 on quickstep with dark theme the app drawer apps had white letters on white background unless you changed your wallpaper to a dark one.
So your saying if I use the quickstep I can also enable the peek feature?

I'm not sure about the peek feature (to be honest I don't know what that is), what I was getting at was about the navigation reverting to 3 button. If you're using something other than stock launcher, it's supposed to force you to use the 3 button navigation according to Google, so that might be why you're seeing that behavior.
Also, beta 5 fixed the dark theme issue.
Edit: Peek is working.

I didn't have to enable anything, it was just working. I had full gestures as my default when I flashed, and I didn't change anything after that. Looked in settings as well, no option there. I'm assuming it should be on by default.
If you're having trouble with it, disable grip rejection, that could be conflicting with it.

I swipe up from the bottom right to show recent apps, and I use One Hand Operation+ to swipe left from the far right to go back.

I'm on the N975F, using the newest version of Nova Prime. I tried resetting nova settings to defaults - same thing. I'm going to try other launchers now.
If I buy a brand new S22 Ultra (12/256, Snapdragon) and install Nova Launcher as my default launcher, then go to phone settings and change navigation to gesture navigation, will it work decently or will the phone not work with gestures and force me to use the nav bar?

This isn't a bug. Google changed the way Android handles gestures and the recents screen in Android 10 I believe. 3rd party launchers will have this delay on home and recents swipe. Neither the app developer, nor Samsung can do anything about it until Google decides to change it

I would not say a lag but there's a delay if you use gestures with 3rd party launchers when swipe and hold for recents. It happens in my S22.

I wouldn't call it lag either, but gestures definitely work differently with 3rd party launchers now. This is a well known change that Google made.

It's technically not quite as fast as stock. My guess is that they don't notice it because they have been using it for so long. It's definitely real, you can Google the documentation on it. I deal with it on custom rims all the time

I love my P7P so far. I love gestures for back, recents, etc. I just read on Reddit about the navigation bar and how it's useless and getting burned in people's screens. Is there any way to disable it without rooting?
If I do have to root, do I get a message every boot about my phone being rooted? I hate that. My last phone was a Motorola that did that. I have rooted more than one phone before.

Use a custom launcher. I believe Nova allows you to get rid of it

I don't believe you can with Nova. I read that on Reddit. I own it, just didn't install it because I'm loving the stock launcher on this phone. No bloatware. Just a great running phone so far. I really love that I don't even have to install voicemail (I don't use it).

If you want to keep the stock launcher, root is your only option. Yes, you'll get a warning that the bootloader is unlocked, but you can double tap the power button to get past it (first press pauses so you can go to some link ~ second press resumes and you boot up)

Um, or you don't press anything and it boots on its own after a couple of seconds?

Um, or you tap the power button twice and then you don't have to wait for the warning to go away and your phone boots up much faster......

What? Nova most certainly allows you to remove the useless static search bar that Google forces upon you! I know because I have the P7 Pro and use Nova Prime as my launcher! If I could simply remove the search bar which I have NEVER used on ANY phone then I might use the default launcher! Nova works great!
I see that I may be confusing the NAV bar with the search bar???? Either way I use NAV buttons so not sure what NAV bar you are talking about???? Sorry!

He's on about the navigation bar (white pill at bottom of screen) not at a glance widget.

For me it take 19 seconds if I do that and 25 seconds if I don't which to me = I don't care
