I'm no tech whiz, my thing is more writing.
I don't know how, but my samsung galaxy emerge got bricked. Soft bricked. I can get it into download mode but it wont be recognized by my pc. Ive tried each port, uninstalled and reinstalled odin, looked in the drives, tried a new cord (or two) and put the phone in different modes. I cant get it into recovery mode, only download mode and an error screen that says:
'Custom binary blocked by FAP lock (recovery.img)
secure fail: recovery
once again, i never installed a custom binary or anything like that.
going to the download screen gives me this message:
'odin mode (high speed)
download mode !!
product name: sm- j327p
current binary: custom
system status: custom
fap lock: on
warranty void: 0x1 (0x30c)
qualcom secureboot: enable (csb)
ap swaev: s1 t1 a3 p1
ap swaev: k 0 s 2
secure download: enable'
please help. again, i dont think it's a pc connection problem, i think its a phone problem. so how do fix it?
My guess it's not a hardware problem, but a software problem, otherwise even ODIN wouldn't work in any way.
If phone stupidly boots into download ( fastboot ) mode this means phone's bootloader is directed to do so. To fix this the appropriate property has to be reset. This only progammatically can be done by you if phone's Android got rooted and USB-debugging got enabled, too.

Did you install Samsung USB Drivers from the official website?
I suggest you to use a USB port directly on the motherboard.
Restart your pc after the USB driver is installed.
Goodluck flashing the stock firmware, I believe you should be able to revive easily .

I tried to root my S6 using a method posted on here. However something messed up and my phone is i guess (soft bricked)
I have tried MANY different step by step guides with no help at all.
My phone either sits on the "Use smart switch for emergency recovery" or i can get into the ODIN mode, but that's it.
I downloaded the correct firmeware G920PVPU3CPB6_G920PSPT3CPB6_G920PVPU3CPB6_HOME.tar
Opened Odin 3.10.7
Clicked AP
Loaded the PB6
And everytime i attempt to get this to stock it stops at Pit Mapping and fails.
I have changed ports, USB cables, Redownloaded all the USB drivers etc and still can't get my phone to do anything.
Just now, I tried opening the One CLick Root, (just to see) and it doesn't even pick up my phone in Debug Mode, *saying its not in usb debugging* which i know100% i put it in that when i first started or tried to root.
Anyhow
ALL I am needing to do is get my phone back to working order, idc if it's back to stock or not. As long as it works. But i have tried everything i could find, and have had no luck at all.
Some one PLEASE walk me through what i need to do.
RECAP:
Downloaded Odin 3.10.7
Downloaded stock firmware
Gets stuck at Get Pit Mapping then FAILS
From the Odin Screen this is what is listed
Product: SM-G920P
Current Binary: Custom
System Stats: Official
FRP LOCK : OFF
Secure Download : Enabled
KNOX Warranty Void : 0 (0x0000)
RP SWREV: B: 3 K:2 S:2
If anyone can please help get this back in working order i'd be SUPER appreciative.
ALSO: I've tried connecting to Smart Switch to do the Emergency Recovery, but it keeps telling me my SN is incorrect. Dunno why i got it right off the box,lol
ALSO: KIES3 says it isnt a reconized device aswell....

Correct
I recently rooted my j7 with cf one click. Then I realized I needed Twrp because it didn't come with the package. successfully flashed twrp with odin via pc. successful root. everything fine till I tried to flash the enigma rom note experience? phone was stuck in a boot loop. got the loop to stop by accessing twrp. now I'm able to access both download mode and twrp. when I just turn the phone on though it shows the battery charging icon and in the top corner says in red odin mode then in white product name:sm-j700p
current bianary:custom
system status:custom
fap lock: off
Knox warranty void; 0x1 (4)
qualcomm secure boot: enable (csb)
ap swrev: s1, t1, h1, r1, a 1, p1
secure download : enable
before the flash attempts I had developer options on as well as debugging. I also had the bootloader set to oem.
just a min ago I tried to flash a stock optimized rom and got error7. I have tried downloading stock roms. but they weren't zips I cant get anything to work. I have odin on my laptop. my phone isn't recognized by the computer. so I'm having to down load zips to my SD on my s7 edge and transfer the card to the j7.
I'm sure this is a simple thing I'm Messing up.
if the question has been asked I apologize.
I have worked for two days on this and can not get it together. please help
Hey guys, I'm new here...
Well yesterday my dad bought me a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime+ SM-G532F (vodafone, South Africa).
I wanted to root it( i always used to use KingoRoot) but i found a thread with an exploit to root the SM-G532F/M/G or something like that. Anyways i used it and flashed the "root-boot.tar" and followed all the steps( Enabled OEM unlocking and usb debugging) and i had root access and everything was perfect.
Then i thought i didn't need the OEM unlocking and the usb debugging anymore so i disabled both. Then afterwards i rebooted my phone( Because i had just installed Magisk so i could play pokemon go on a jailbroken device and it required a reboot.).
As it restarted, I got this message on a light blue screen( i don't think it even booted), "Security Error: This phone has been flashed with unauthorised software & is locked. Call your mobile operator for additional support. Please note that repair/return for this issue may have additional cost."
I think this is because of disabling the OEM unlocking. I tried flashing a stock ROM(it was really small though, but am downloading a 1.5Gb one right now) using odin while in download mode( The phone doesn't have a recovery menu to wipe/factory reset. It goes straight to download mode) and it appears that the custom binary (boot.img) is being blocked by the FRP lock.
Here is what appears when i go into recovery(well download mode):
ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G532F
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
FRP LOCK: ON
WARRANTY VOID: 0x1 (0x302)
MTK SECURE BOOT: ENABLE
AP SWREV: B1 K0 S0
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
I can't use ADB because it doesn't even appear if i try "adb devices" it is completely blank. But in odin it shows 0:[COM4]. Is this because my usb debugging is disabled? Can i flash with odin if usb debugging is disabled? If not, is there a way to enable usb debugging with the phone only in download mode( As in no ADB recovery or updating from sd card etc).
Please help. I really need to fix this. Even if i lose everything on the phone it's fine since i only got it yesterday.

Greetings and welcome to assist. FRP lock shouldn't prevent you flashing stock rom, the easiest way to restore your device should be with kies/smart switch and using the emergency firmware recovery option

Hello guys.
This is a failed update by TWRP my S6 computer does not detect / see the phone at all. So I can not upload the original system. I've tried all the possible ways. I ran drivers from different sources, tried to restore the system through the Smart Switch but every time the computer does not respond to the phone hook. I will add that I did not change the roms more than once and never managed to pull the phone in this way. Enables only in Download mode. On the top left I have the following messages:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G920F
CURRECT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF
Secure Download: Enabled
KNOX WARRANTY VOID 1 (0x0301)
RP SWREV B:4 K:2 S:2
Sorry for my bad english but i am writing google translator.

ok bro , try clean your micro usb socket by using a can of compressed air and wait 1 min before connect any cable , after clean you can try this way may be help you :
-when you enter to download mode screen that have two option (vol.down to restart & vol.up to continue) connect your phone first and after that hold vol.up ) and see if odin added your device or not .
-if also not work with you try reboot device while you connected phone and enter to download mode
i suggest to remove any old driver of Samsung and install the latest driver that you can download from this link:
http://samsungusbdriver.com/wp-content/uploads/Samsung-Usb-Driver-v1.5.63.0.zip
also try odin version 3.11.1 that recommend for marshmallow firmware
