One Ui Home 3.1 with Google Discover - Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hi together,
I would rly love to have Google Discover in the Stock one ui 3.1 launcher. Right now this privileg is reserved for s21 and I dont see any hardware related reason why this should not be a feature on my s20 Fe 5g.
I tried using App cloner but the launcher crashed in a loop.
So my question is. Did or can someone provide an apk with Google discovery enabled.
I'm not rooted yet and I would like to keep it like that.

does this not help / work ?

Formerly called Google Feed, Google Discover is a news feed service that Samsung integrated into One UI 3.1. Mind you, ...

I don't use the stock launcher and I hate google so I've not tried it.

Same here.
I've read somewhere that only phones launched in 2021 have the option of Google Discover.

SamMobile has been able to confirm that only phones that ship with One UI 3.1 out of the box will have the Discover integration. Other phones that are receiving the update will have to make do with Samsung Free, which offers news from Taboola News, free TV programs (using Samsung TV Plus), and some pretty bad PWA games.

Is it possible to enable google now/discover page using adb commands? I am not nowe to rooting, i flashed various custom roms on nexuses, pixels, xiaomi and onepluses before so that is not an issue for me. The issue is i need my phone to work reliably with working updates, google pay and other drm/bank ****, so possibility of safetynet failing with an update is not an option for me. I also use secire folder so that would probably get broken too.
I only need the google feed page to be honest, every other mod including animation speeds, poweramp equalizer etc can be done via adb. Also using a different launcher is not an option because I use gestures, and samsungs oneui does not play well with third party launchers when using gesutres.

Try these alternatives in videos if wanna use google discover in S20 fe 5g

[APP][6.0+] SystemUI Tuner

For some reason, a lot of manufacturers seem to have a problem with us customizing our own devices, to the point where some disable the built-in Android SystemUI Tuner.
This app aims to fix that problem, by providing a replacement. For the most part, this is a replica of Android's SystemUI Tuner; however, there are a few extra goodies that Android's solution doesn't include by default.
While I made this for my LG V20, since LG removed the stock SystemUI Tuner, I see no reason why at least the core features won't work on other devices. Even if you have the stock Tuner already, go ahead and try this app out. There are some extra features for you.
Now for some notes:
- This app does NOT require ROOT, but you will need to grant some permissions using ADB (instructions in app).
- This app should work on any device running Android Marshmallow (6.0) or above.
- This app is EXPERIMENTAL! Certain features may not work on your particular device. If they do not, that is unfortunately out of my control.
I'm always looking for things to add, so if you have a suggestion, I'd love to hear it.

Quote "For some reason, a lot of manufacturers seem to have a problem with us customizing our own devices, to the point where some disable the built-in Android SystemUI Tuner." I have the same problem, why did I pay £600+ for the computer in my pocket if it's to be owned/ controlled by the manufacturer. Is it mine or their's ?
I'm making some good progress on a non-root version. So far the status bar icons work. I'm having trouble with intents, so Demo Mode is going to hold this back a bit.
There will be some setup required using ADB if you don't have root, but it's just a permissions grant, and there will be instructions.
So far I'm loving it, although the orientation lock icon is really bugging me. Other than that, I don't have any problems, great job!
Is it possible for this to modify the location of the items? For example move the clock to centre? I've got potato clock for this at the moment but combining it into this app would be great.

Really the only thing I'm trying to do with is app is replicate and improve SystemUI Tuner. To actually move items, I'd need to modify the SystemUI itself, which would be a lot of work to make universal.

[APP][PORT][DP3] Google Markup from Android P

This is a port of the Google Markup app from the Android P developer preview. Its primary use on P is to edit screenshots, but it can be used on any image.
On P, you get an "EDIT" option when you take a screenshot. That starts an editor for the image, and Google have included an app on the Pixel 2 builds called "Markup", which allows for cropping and simple editing:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This is a backport of that app, with only one modification, the addition of the "android.intent.action.SEND" intent filter. This means that on Oreo and below, Markup can be accessed after you take a screenshot by pressing "SHARE" and then selecting markup.
Usage (large GIF, view the gifv here):
Download
Install it as a normal APK
When I'm cropping with this tool the new image has bigger size than the original screenshot. Also it saves it as a new file rather than giving an option to share the edited screenshot. Hopefully that fixes later on.
Good news!
So it turns out the native library that was limiting the app to ARM64 only is not just used in this app - it's used in Google Keep too. Keep is released in ARM32 and x86 variants (and MIPS too but no phones use MIPS nowadays), so I've ripped the latest library from those variants and included it in this. It works on my Nexus 5 (ARM32) and on the emulator (x86), so at this point I'd say it's global.
The APK is in the same place, attached and linked in the OP.

I actually sold my Korean G7 on Craigslist and he sold it to some dude who put it on eBay.
Haha, I actually tried to track the phone down after hearing about the Android Pie 9.0 as it felt like that was the only thing missing from the G7.
Anyways, I was able to update to Beta (I live in NYC) and used WiFi. It just requested me to sign into the LG Help Center app.
I will test it out and give feedback. My first action is to put the GCam to see if it works.

every time I make a outgoing call, there is a profile video with music that plays in the background with music, I am using the original china rom and living in china, but I would like to know if anyone else have it outside of china, if so did anyone manage to disable it?

I did a very mild ADB before even using the device for the first time so it's possible i removed that package

That is what I currently have debloated - but by no means do i recommend using that as a definitive list - I have alot more tweaking to do as I'm continuing to experience many annoyances or problems so I don't have the phone in a perfect state yet
But...should give you a little direction how you can solve that call problem

Everything in my screenshot is safe to remove without worry - the only exception is make sure you have a keyboard (GBoard for example) installed as one of those debloats takes off the keyboard that comes stock (it's garbage)

not sure what "this" link is referring to but I used ADB GUI as with this link here:
GitHub - 0x192/universal-android-debloater: Cross-platform GUI written in Rust using ADB to debloat non-rooted android devices. Improve your privacy, the security and battery life of your device.

OH - also a quirk i encountered is the USBC cable that came with the phone would NOT play nice with my PC - I used a random one from amazon that worked perfectly. At first I thought i was not doing the ADB process properly...but it was just the cable

Question Pixel 7 Pro can't sideload apks

Hey so I have a bunch of older apks I prefer over newer ones from play store. I have them backed up. They have always worked on my Sammy phones. This is my first Pixel and I love it. I activated unknown sources and gave permissions to file managers and still it fails. I tried with a 3rd party manager (solid explorer) and it says app not compatible with this version on android.
But I have android 13 on my Sammy phone and it works fine. Anyone have a tip?
I also have play protect and device security off or deactivated
That sounds familiar. I recall some people on the Pixel 6 Pro claiming they couldn't sideload apps, but I never had any problem, and there were others who didn't have problems either.
Edit: You might want to search the titles of threads in the Pixel 6 Pro section for:
sideload
or
apk

It's easy to find:

This third search result down in this picture is the one I'm thinking of. Not positive if it's the same issue or not, since I didn't have the issue.

I had a nice read... but it's not exactly my issue. my apps are all paid. Maybe I'll just use the newer versions and delete the collection of old apks. I have from all the way to 2008 it takes up like 14gb on my laptop lol. I really did just prefer older versions before many apps were sold and then turned into an unbearable ad and spam machine
Any APK that uses accessibility features will no longer work, paid or otherwise.

Are you talking about the new A13 restrictions for accessibility and notification access? If so, you can bypass the restrictions by clicking on the 3 dot menu in the app info section.

Good to know that the option wasn't removed in final A13 because it's not present in A13 on my OnePlus 9.

Let us know if you figure it out
Can't install so can't get into a 3dot menu if it won't install. it's fine just decided I'll use the new apks from play store. not that big of a deal
I´m waiting for my P7Pro to arrive. But I was wondering if installing apk´s via ADB will work?
Jus to confirm.
I got the same Problem.
Wanted to install APKPure App. Not compatible.
Does adb sideload work? If it fails, it might give you a helpful error message that way. I haven't received my P7P yet or I would try it out.
this is what pops up with built in file manager
and with solid it shows another message
(I cut off name of apk)
Sideloading i believe worked but im not sure about it.

I´ll give it a try when my P7Pro arrives. Unfortunately it will first be in 1-2 weeks in Denmark.

Are you sure the apk you're trying to install is compatible with Android 13?
Maybe try another file manager like Mixplorer.

is it a 64bit ARM app you're installing?
Does the P7P drop support for 32bit native applications? I recall something along those lines being talked about, but it was supposed to be in connection with the upcoming pixel tablet.
Confirmed: factory images for P7[P] drop all 32bit ABI's. If a native application lacks 64bit, it will not work.
Will look into it I just got off work here in Germany
