Question Outgoing call profile video (China Rom) want to disable it. - Xiaomi 12S Ultra

every time I make a outgoing call, there is a profile video with music that plays in the background with music, I am using the original china rom and living in china, but I would like to know if anyone else have it outside of china, if so did anyone manage to disable it?

Hmm- I have original China rom (living in Canada) and have no such behavior
I did a very mild ADB before even using the device for the first time so it's possible i removed that package
I can show you the list of packages i've removed if that helps ?

That is what I currently have debloated - but by no means do i recommend using that as a definitive list - I have alot more tweaking to do as I'm continuing to experience many annoyances or problems so I don't have the phone in a perfect state yet
But...should give you a little direction how you can solve that call problem

Everything in my screenshot is safe to remove without worry - the only exception is make sure you have a keyboard (GBoard for example) installed as one of those debloats takes off the keyboard that comes stock (it's garbage)

not sure what "this" link is referring to but I used ADB GUI as with this link here:

OH - also a quirk i encountered is the USBC cable that came with the phone would NOT play nice with my PC - I used a random one from amazon that worked perfectly. At first I thought i was not doing the ADB process properly...but it was just the cable

Warning: If the app isn't working, just drop me an email or post the problem here, you don't need to rate the app with 1 star and comment like: "The app isn't working". Thanks for the support
Now you can have all the XDA TV videos wherever you go using this application. Now on your phone, if you have a tablet you should get it here, also you can get the "normal theme" version here.
As many of you have seen, the tablet application got an update, featuring a new feed(that is hosted on my own server), description text and a poster image for each video. I'm now working to bring all of this to the phone version, so stay tuned. Maybe later today it will be finished
I've been working on this for a week. Making the layout using HTML and CSS3 was easy, but I got a lot of problems while trying to make the code work on Android, so I took a bit more to match the code for Android. At the time I can't find another way to open up the videos without firing up the browser to redirect to the Video application, the OS has a lot of problems with HTML5 Video tag so I've done it like this.
The technologies used on this application:
PhoneGap
iScroll
jQuery
HTML5 and CSS3

Hi, don't know if this is just me but the app doesn't work for me. I get no response when i click on the icon. I am running a DHD with CM7 in case that helps. I'll give the normal verion a go now and see if that works.
EDIT: I uninstalled and installed the 'normal' phone version, i get a bit further: a black screen and then an application error "THe connection to the server was unsuccessful. (file:///android_asset/www/index.html)"
Hope that helps?
I have also a problem, i cant select the first item in the list. (Phone Edition)

First Problem: I'm trying to solve this. Strangely PhoneGap is having bugs to work on some ROMs.
Second Problem: That means the app took too long to contact the server(usually because your connection is slow at the time). Just try again and it might work.

I have the same problem as in the "EDIT:" above...
The "The connection to the server was unsuccessful. (file:///android_asset/www/index.html)" problem will be rolling out tomorrow, since it's a server fix and I'll only have time to do it tomorrow, this is happening because your connection might be slow and the app is trying to fetch the entire XDA TV library(all the episodes since the first one), which is causing timeouts. The solution will be to remove the very very old episodes, making the list smaller and reducing the problems with timeouts.
A new version of the app might come out later that will support reading the "old archive", which will be created tomorrow.
PS: I'm having tests this week on the university, plus I need to work, so I'm not having much time to develop
Thanks, will await the fix

Just pushed the server-side fix. I'll be working to replace the black screen on the opening with a fancy splash screen
The feed doesn't seem to be updating on this app. Been checking it for a bit now and it doesn't update while there are newer episodes out. The last one showing on this app is "Nexus, Ice Cream Sandwich, and a Contest to win an HTC Amaze 4G", which is a bit outdated. Anyone else having this problem?
-Mike
Sorry, I've been working hard and also trying to completely redesign the XDA TV app so I can't update the feed, but I'll try to do it today.
Sorry

No. Once you can, it will be all over the internet. It's not an android device and there are less devs. Give it some time.
It's been out for 9 days, give it some time. It uses Tizen instead of Android and even at that, there are less devs interested in it right now due to it's recently release not providing a lot of info.
Once it is rooted we should be able to flash an android ROM to it and rid it of Tizen, right?

Ohh. I didn't realize, thought he meant it may work but not with 100% functionality.
This makes sense, thanks. I am excited to see what comes of this, but hope if it does work that the battery life isnt lessened due to slightly smaller battery in the Gear2.
Hello: I'm currently downloading the Tizen source code, and will then do a complete build on my PC. This should give me a Tizen ARM binary 'su' that - with a bit of luck - will work on the Gear 2.
I don't know what the Gear 2 root password is - although I'm hoping it should be fairly easy to guess (Tizen, tizen, gear2, samsung, etc.). I will try a dictionary attack of none of the obvious things work.
I will also share the 'su' binary once I've built it, so other people can attempt to figure out the root password.
Once we've rooted it, we can look to (a) open up full Internet access on the device, (b) get better integration with non-Samsung devices, and possibly (c) install Android on it.

OP has 6 posts, just one reply since yesterday (and only cause XDA just tweeted it), the big image is embedded from a piracy site that hosts cracked android apps... so, is this legit?

I think site should provide the full package for slow internet connection.
Sorry, why to put this on XDA Forums after almost a year of its availability?
It might not make much of a difference with desktop PC's but, something limited in CPU performance Andy OS doesn't seem to run well, tested on my T100TA (x86 baytrail tablet) was choppy and laggy. DuOS runs extremely well on the same tablet, worth noting and trying if you have the same or similar device.

The online installer seems kinda limited for some people with slow internet connections like me.
To run android apps on PC I use Genymotion, it's smoother and customizable

A systemless and standalone application which let's you skip tracks on your Android 8.0+ device by long pressing the volume keys.
Working on every 8.0+ ROM, including stock AOSP without root. Tested on 8, 9 and Q Beta!
Installation
Download the newest release from the link below and install it on your device as usual.
Connect your device to a computer and enable developer settings and fire up
adb shell pm grant com.cilenco.skiptrack android.permission.SET_VOLUME_KEY_LONG_PRESS_LISTENER
On startup the app will check if has the permission. If you don't see any message the process worked and you are ready to go.
If the app is installed as system application by flashing it through a recovery this step is not needed as the permission is granted automatically.

Xperia XZ1, Stock 9.0 rom, i have no logs but app starts without error. All buttons are working. But it doesn't skip tracks on long colume button press on/offscreen.. when it is offscreen it doesn't change volume if this will help..(did all the instructions)

It works as advertised now! Thank you!
Does this work when the screen is off?
Also, this is the first app I've seen that uses this API since we covered its existence nearly two years ago: https://www.xda-developers.com/android-oreo-volume-key-long-press/
edit: just read the GitHub readme, it does say it works when screen is off..will have to test.

Yeah it works with screen of as well!
Actually that post gave me the idea to create this app
I confirm it works now! Xperia XZ1 on Android 9 stock. Working like a charm. This is the only real standalone solution for skipping tracks with volume buttoms while screen is off on android 8-9. Great work dev ???
This is awesome! It works with every app I tried... except for Poweramp, which is my player of choice. This must be something on Poweramp's end though, since every other apps works as intended. What's weird is that Poweramp's beep seem to indicate that it's catching the next/previous commands, but won't skip tracks. Is there any specific configuration I should set on Poweramp for it to work?
does it work for Spotify?
I didn't even know there was an API for this but I'm so glad for this app, works perfectly on stock rooted OOS 9.0.4, thank you for this app!!! Took a little fiddling but it worked after a few minutes
I am so glad someone created this. I have been waiting for a standalone version of something like this since Xposed mods are a thing. This is awesome. Thank you so much!
very nice, thanks for sharing this app?
On an s10+ here, skip track works but volume will increase as if the button was being held. Ie. Once skipping to the next song, it will play at a much louder volume. Tested on Google play music and spotify.
UPDATE: disregard this, issue seemed to have fixed itself

ROOT access is required for this app!
This app automatically modifies wide range of low-level system parameters using ROOT access. By using this app you agree with EULA and any possible risks.
FeraDroid Engine (FDE) - an All-in-One ultimate optimizer for all devices running Android OS. All parameters are individual for EVERY device depending on it's hardware/software characteristics. Very wide-range settings of OS and Linux kernel are configured, still being cross-platform utility, maximally compatible with all devices. FDE.AI applies configurations depending on hardware and software of device, so that in the end every device is configured individually. Hello I've bought and use the app for some time, overall it's pretty good. However I want to know more in details about some of the AI function/options that's not really explained everywhere in more detail (afaik), some clarification would be great
1. the difference between normal and alternate doze (how they works and stuff)
2. toggle bg apps kill (#killbgapps / #dontkillbgapps), what's this? what's the default config for fresh fde and what will it affect?
Hello.
I'm using Poco F1 , with Official corvus os and greenify and no other mods and stock kernel. I installed the free version and now my charging speed is way to slow after the installation.
While charging I switched of the phone, only to see the phone automatically trying to boot and then showing the charging logo, after seeing it, I disconnected the charger and booted into system.
Please help op if you could fix the charging issue, I would really love to buy it.

1. In first case used direct force deep doze mode. On some heavy modified systems like MIUI this causes various issues, so i came out with another method - dumpsys deviceidle step x3 times - this avoids direct force doze but makes it skip idle wait, motion sensor check steps & go directly to light doze - this way it doesn't conflict with nothing, but may not work as well as expected. Simply - use alternatedoze only if you have troubles with normal doze.
2. #killbgapps executes only once you type it - it doesn't do it automatically. Issued 'am kill-all' commad which is nearly same as you'd clear all your recents, while cached data is still in ram.

Hi, maybe try to change kernel - in last FDE versions I removed anything that can be related to charging. If you will buy pro version, you can get refund if things 'll go wrong & you want to uninstall it. Thanks.
Seems working
I think i see some differences
Android 10 keeps applying restrictions for the app not use battery in background, after every reboot of the system, should I worry about that? Also, can I leave fde in that "optimized" list in settings/battery management?
Fde is amazing , thanks!
Has the paid version been removed from play store?

Looks that way, followed a link from google search and linked to "page not found". I uninstalled it due to a bug that made bluetooth skip alot. Sucks cause it was great when it worked. Wish I would of backed it up.
