[APP][6.0+] SystemUI Tuner - Android Apps and Games

For some reason, a lot of manufacturers seem to have a problem with us customizing our own devices, to the point where some disable the built-in Android SystemUI Tuner.
This app aims to fix that problem, by providing a replacement. For the most part, this is a replica of Android's SystemUI Tuner; however, there are a few extra goodies that Android's solution doesn't include by default.
While I made this for my LG V20, since LG removed the stock SystemUI Tuner, I see no reason why at least the core features won't work on other devices. Even if you have the stock Tuner already, go ahead and try this app out. There are some extra features for you.
Now for some notes:
- This app does NOT require ROOT, but you will need to grant some permissions using ADB (instructions in app).
- This app should work on any device running Android Marshmallow (6.0) or above.
- This app is EXPERIMENTAL! Certain features may not work on your particular device. If they do not, that is unfortunately out of my control.
I'm always looking for things to add, so if you have a suggestion, I'd love to hear it.

Working pretty nicely on my g920f with Nougat. However it has added the orientation lock icon and I have no way of removing it now. Any ideas?

I might be able to add a toggle for that.
Did you hide it manually before?

Any reason it couldn't work on Lollipop? I gave the Labs download a shot on my LG G4 (still running LP since it's rootable), but I get generic "cannot parse" error.

At the moment, I have the minimum API level set to 23 (MM), but I can certainly lower it to 22 and have you test it to see if it works.

Quote "For some reason, a lot of manufacturers seem to have a problem with us customizing our own devices, to the point where some disable the built-in Android SystemUI Tuner." I have the same problem, why did I pay £600+ for the computer in my pocket if it's to be owned/ controlled by the manufacturer. Is it mine or their's ?

I'm making some good progress on a non-root version. So far the status bar icons work. I'm having trouble with intents, so Demo Mode is going to hold this back a bit.
There will be some setup required using ADB if you don't have root, but it's just a permissions grant, and there will be instructions.

So far I'm loving it, although the orientation lock icon is really bugging me. Other than that, I don't have any problems, great job!

Is it possible for this to modify the location of the items? For example move the clock to centre? I've got potato clock for this at the moment but combining it into this app would be great.

Really the only thing I'm trying to do with is app is replicate and improve SystemUI Tuner. To actually move items, I'd need to modify the SystemUI itself, which would be a lot of work to make universal.

Code:

Tell me if that works to hide rotation lock (it'll unhide any other options you set).

DUDE. Non root mode works BEAUTIFULLY. Can't hide the clock, but I just wanted to hide Bluetooth, wifi, do not disturb, and alarm clock.
You rock. One of the biggest disappointments when I got this phone; they disabled the System UI Tuner.
Thank you!! Let me know when we can give you $$ ?

[APP][XPOSED] Custom Alert Slider for OnePlus 2/X/3 [2.1]

Hi guys,
Aside from VibrateMode, I made another app which customizes the slider to make it more useful. You can change action for each slider position. And it needs Xposed framework.
List of actions will be updated here:
- All
- Interruption
- None
- Airplane mode
- Flashlight
- Vibrate
- Mobile data toggle
- Do nothing
- Remove toast when changing mode
- Remove ringer icons or change interruption icon to vibrate icon
- Tasker support (event plugin)
If you have suggestion for custom action. Please post it here and I will put it on the app's checklist.
Hope you like it

Finally I can reverse the order and use airplane mode instead of muting all.

Vibration mode should also add in the list. I know You have another app for it. But keeping two apps for this is not a good idea.

There are several reasons:
This new app focuses only on customizing the alert slider on Oneplus 2/X devices
VibrateMode works for all CM-like devices and not just Oneplus devices
Do you want more fancy features for your alert slider? Then combining the two only creates the mess.
The app has its own plan and for now it looks like it's a good idea to combine them but when I add more features to the combination, I would actually destroy the focus.
I hope you understand.
The app doesn't even run, keeps crashing when I open it. On OOS 2.1.1 with v75 xposed ver. with gavinhungry's xposed mods.
I'm with mnhs on this one. I'd like to see these features wrapped in with the other app that is already available. I understand why it's not, but an all in one solution for users would be more beneficial than having to install several apps to accomplish the same thing.
All this said, I can not get the app to work as described. I enabled the module but the app immediately crashes every time I try to open it.
I really want to fix the problem. Can you see the log and check where it crashed?
would this app work for Hydrogen OS on OnepLus 2?

The problem could be the conflict with MinMinGuard if you have them. MinMinGuard tries to block ads and causes so many crashes and hence the app is terminated. New version will be updated soon.

I have not tested the app yet. But in my opinion it will not work correctly with HydrogenOS.
Nice app...works perfectly for me. It would be better if vibrate was included in it. But still I loved the app.
Adding a vibrate mode option really kick it up a notch. You don't have to discontinue your vibratemode app as such because of its support for cm devices. But adding it here would really add to sensible functionality.
Anyway great work already! Cheers
Awesome, Man!! I just installed it and it works like a charm!

vibrate, vibrate and ring, ring, mute , flashlight, auto brigntness.
these are the must need stuff for me. please add it bro.

I think you said you were already working on this but the ability to assign our own shortcuts would be perfect, then I could just make tasker tasks and do anything else I want through that!

Hai,
There is no impact on battery life,
its a simple app,
when you clicks the icon, its executes for 1200 mili seconds that is less then 1.5 seconds and that too if you have enable the lock animations, else its just locks the device in 0.05 seconds.
The background service only used only when you enables Floating icon, and that too use very minimal RAM and remains idle till you touch it to lock the device.
once device is locked its again idle.

Dont worry,
This is very clean app, totally based on the Google standards,
I follows the best practices and recommendations.
You can check the statistics by any usage statistic apps.
How is this different from the existing various apps that does the same thing? For example "Screen off and lock" being a very popular choice.
Just like the other similar apps - this one doesnt work with nexus imprint either.
Great idea, but I would want an option to unlock as well. Some apps provide this, HOWEVER I know how much of a punch to your battery life that can be. Perhaps something could be integrated that works similar to Tasker, if that is even possible (I am not a developer, what do I know?) Something that allows automation, such as 'when both volume buttons are held for: 2 seconds: device will be unlocked.' Possible, or impossible?
Though, this would HIGHLY likely require root. The battery hog method could be an option for unrooted, and more battery efficient options for those who are rooted?

The design of the App UI is unique and fresh than all other similar apps.
then there are choice for selecting icons, and option to re size the floating icon and its transparency.
Those are the some unique options you want find in similar apps.

To make it simple and battery friendly
Hello,
Thank you for all your inputs and comments.
I am first android user then developer, and RAM Usage is always concern for me,
so i try to avoid the apps with background services and more constant RAM usage, and hence the apps those till now i developed, i tried making them clean, tried avoiding background services. always avoiding un necessary services usage.
Only Material App locker and Child Lock these are the two of my apps where i am running background service, that because its require for the Apps basic functions.
for unlocking, there was a two ways to do it, and both of them required constant background service which defiantly impacts the battery life, so dropped the idea to add unlock function,
about nexus imprint issue, i am trying to arrange the device to test and fix this issue.
will update once i am able to test on this device.
Thank you,
Yogesh dama

No-Root Modifications

Those of us who are waiting for root are having to figure out ways to do the things that come easily with root. If you have any cool tips and tricks for accomplishing tasks that are generally reserved for rooted phones I would be SUPER interested in hearing about them. A few that I am using:
Block This - An ad blocker that works for both apps and web browsing..... And it's FREE.
Package Disabler Pro - A great way to disable the bloat and preinstalled apps that are annoying.
FoxFi - Wireless tether that works. The Pro version doesn't have any caps or limits so it's worth it if you use it often.
What say you?
EDIT: Here are some of the apps that have been mentioned in the thread....
Light flow - allows you to take control of the notifications on your device.
Smart Pocket - Skip tracks with double click volume button and more.
Greenify - "Greenify help you identify and put the misbehaving apps into hibernation when you are not using them."
No Root Tethering "No root tethering. (This works on the Sprint version, and should work on the Verizon one. Not sure about others.) You'll need to get your MSL from Sprint."
MacroDroid Set up macros to perform tasks. I personally use this one to start Pandora when my phone connects via Bluetooth to my car stereo. Works well.
Galaxy Button Lights - Disable capacitive button backlights.
NetGuard - Ad blocking from XDA
All in one gestures - Control your device with simple gestures.
Screen Lock Pro - Allows you to screen off and lock the device. Will not trigger the pin input when you have fingerprint lock on.
OGYouTube - Ad Free YouTube!!
EasyDownloader for Instagram - Save pictures and videos directly from Instagram app (photos and videos).
KLWP Live Wallpaper Maker - "You'll be designing your phone exactly how you want in no time.. And it will keep you busy for sure. The possibilities are endless. It does require Nova Launcher or many others.."
Social Contact Photo Sync - Synchronize your phone contacts with high resolution photos from social networks and partly even from social apps.
Be sure to give a thanks to all of those who have contributed this thread. I will add more as they come in.
Light flow has Galaxy S6/S7 no-root support. Light flow allows you to take control of the notifications on your device. Its main features are: Controlling the notification LED for phones that have them (cycling colors through outstanding notifications)...

It is MUCH faster and it shows you a lot more things than the stock app manager. It's very very good.
Plus there's lots of stuff you can't disable in the stock app manager.
DPI changes without root, and with (relatively) problem free scaling on the apps is the highlight for me.

You're welcome! Hope it serves you well. I know it's not perfect, but without root/Xposed we are verrrryyy limited in what we can do!
First off great app, been wanting this feature for so long just for getting at the notification bar.
Is there any way to assign this to a command to be used with a button in the Navigation bar?
Could you add a "toggle" option as an activity for use as a shortcut with Nova Launcher etc. Attached a screenshot for detail.

Is it possible to launch to toggle the one handed mode using an intent? I'd like to toggle it using a button on my navbar

Yes, we can add that to the planned feature list.

Thank you guys! Cannot test it as I don't have a PC at my hand ATM. May I help by translating the app to German? It's more a guessing thing right now, trying to find out what the welcome pages are trying to tell you

Strange, German should be translated. Is it a bad translation?
Xperia Z5 Premium, bone stock 7.1.1. I paid for more features the moment I activated it.
This is honestly amazing. Great for one handed, although...
Attch 1: Sorta works on Twitter. Only half of the reduced screen size is used in the main screen. When you view a profile, the "dead space" is filled by the colour of the header photo.
Attch 2: Nova Launcher, Tumblr, and iYTBP work excellently on the reduced screen mode.
I hope there's an easier way to launch it. A Quick Tile or make it play nice with Custom Navigation Bar.
More power to the developers!
Make it clear please, that the app won't function at all without paying for it!

It does work, you can activate the one handed mode from inside the app and then continue what you're doing inside other apps. But I agree the toggle should be available in the free version...
The resizing could be still paid imo

You can use the button at the bottom of the main page to enable one handed mode. Then go to your favorite apps and see how they look. The only part that is paid is the floating bubble that lets you easily toggle one Handed Mode
Next update will add an intent that can be called at com.xda.onehandedmode.action.TOGGLE_OHM and a launcher shortcut.
We will also work with the developer of the Custom Navigation Bar app so you can toggle One Handed Mode using a nav bar key.
App could be "worth it" just to adjust dpi. I used Xposed, AppSettings to do this on an app by app basis. Life-savor on my old small phone. The Xposed module did not slow down the screen refresh but did require root, of course.

That's outside of the scope of this app and doesn't make sense to add to this app, but that doesn't mean it can't be done in another app

There's something preventing it from working on oreo with Magisk 14.3 then. I've gave it root access but the settings won't even let me turn the "start at boot" toggle
No other mods.. Apart from root I keep it as stock as possible
Lets put first things first.
Thanks for the promo code.
We need a Help and Feedback section inside the app. Help may lead to XDA and feedback may send a direct email to you with/without attachment and logs. A debug switch should also be there so that a debug log can be added.
Now, 1 major problem. The background colour of the remaining area should NOT be changed by app accent. Instead, it should be selectable or fixed to pure black preferably. This wil make the app look more natural.
Also, if you can hook into some advanced features if Root is available. Your app should have two modes. Either Root or Rootless. This will make the things more efficient.
As you promised a toggle intent, that's welcome as it's more convenient to use by event using tasker or automation tools that can call to an intent.

"Start at boot" is for the overlay service. All of the settings being disabled is a bug that will be fixed in the next version. If you purchase, you can access them, but if you don't want to do that, the update should be out tomorrow.

The blackout overlay is fixed in the upcoming version.
What other features are there with root? We can't use it to fix the offset issue in some apps or anything like that.
The next version will have the intent, a shortcut icon, and a QS tile. @paphonb is also working to integrate OHM into Custom Navigation Bar.

[APP][6.0+][ROOT]FDE.AI-v23.04.3 - Powerful AIO Android devices optimizer (20.04.2023)

ROOT access is required for this app!
This app automatically modifies wide range of low-level system parameters using ROOT access. By using this app you agree with EULA and any possible risks.
FeraDroid Engine (FDE) - an All-in-One ultimate optimizer for all devices running Android OS. All parameters are individual for EVERY device depending on it's hardware/software characteristics. All parameters are very balanced - you may gain performance without increase of power consumption AND reduce power consumption without losing performance. FDE.AI is totally compatible with very wide range of devices and Android OS versions. Very wide-range settings of OS and Linux kernel are configured, still being cross-platform utility, maximally compatible with all devices. FDE.AI applies configurations depending on hardware and software of device, so that in the end every device is configured individually. All applied changes are systemless (system partition is not touched). Some app features may not be supported on various CPUs/kernels.
Make a backup of your data just in case before installing this app. Don't use any other All-in-One tweakers with FDE.AI or things may get bad!

No...it's not open source. He doesn't want to share his methods of 'machine learning' IIRC. I bought n tried v6.0.
I had been using L-Speed's 'Balanced' setting at the time. Tried FDE's performance setting...noticed no improvement. /js
Bump of this thread. Updated docs & info. Pushed v9.2 free version.
I'm using 9.2.4 and I've noticed one bug which might or might not be of pure visual nature. Anyway when I select an app to be preloaded, upon next reboot this app is replaced with the one listed just above it...
Hello I've bought and use the app for some time, overall it's pretty good. However I want to know more in details about some of the AI function/options that's not really explained everywhere in more detail (afaik), some clarification would be great
1. the difference between normal and alternate doze (how they works and stuff)
2. toggle bg apps kill (#killbgapps / #dontkillbgapps), what's this? what's the default config for fresh fde and what will it affect?
Hello.
I'm using Poco F1 , with Official corvus os and greenify and no other mods and stock kernel. I installed the free version and now my charging speed is way to slow after the installation.
While charging I switched of the phone, only to see the phone automatically trying to boot and then showing the charging logo, after seeing it, I disconnected the charger and booted into system.
Please help op if you could fix the charging issue, I would really love to buy it.

Will check that. Actually preload is dropped after reboot, so it should be enabled manually after every reboot. Thanks.

1. In first case used direct force deep doze mode. On some heavy modified systems like MIUI this causes various issues, so i came out with another method - dumpsys deviceidle step x3 times - this avoids direct force doze but makes it skip idle wait, motion sensor check steps & go directly to light doze - this way it doesn't conflict with nothing, but may not work as well as expected. Simply - use alternatedoze only if you have troubles with normal doze.
2. #killbgapps executes only once you type it - it doesn't do it automatically. Issued 'am kill-all' commad which is nearly same as you'd clear all your recents, while cached data is still in ram.

Hi, maybe try to change kernel - in last FDE versions I removed anything that can be related to charging. If you will buy pro version, you can get refund if things 'll go wrong & you want to uninstall it. Thanks.
Seems working
I think i see some differences
Android 10 keeps applying restrictions for the app not use battery in background, after every reboot of the system, should I worry about that? Also, can I leave fde in that "optimized" list in settings/battery management?
Fde is amazing , thanks!
Has the paid version been removed from play store?
I can only find the lite version.

Looks that way, followed a link from google search and linked to "page not found". I uninstalled it due to a bug that made bluetooth skip alot. Sucks cause it was great when it worked. Wish I would of backed it up.
