Yesterday Lg announced 9.0 pie to lg g7 thinq.
Now anyone can try Beta Andrid Pie in their lg g7.
But I know its only for lg g7 g710n Korean Variant.
I updated it to android pie but I notice some bugs already. (like google assistance key not working)
But I belive LG will fix it shortly.

Hello ShinHk. Nice to to meet you. My name is Orkun. I'm still using Samsung Note 4 but I'm going to buy the G7 for a few days. That's why I was so curious. As I understand it, we will see new features after a few updates. We'll wait and see. But with this update, we can see that LG is faster than before. I can buy without thinking.
Is android pie have gestures control? I will be happy to remove navigation buttons.

I actually sold my Korean G7 on Craigslist and he sold it to some dude who put it on eBay.
Haha, I actually tried to track the phone down after hearing about the Android Pie 9.0 as it felt like that was the only thing missing from the G7.
Anyways, I was able to update to Beta (I live in NYC) and used WiFi. It just requested me to sign into the LG Help Center app.
I will test it out and give feedback. My first action is to put the GCam to see if it works.

Probably won't, but as you would be moving from 1.15 to this one, it is recommended you do a clean install. You can have issues otherwise.

Yes sir i dit it. From 1.15 to 2.10. So far no problem. And the annoying thing got fix. Such ass proximity sensor and finger print is snappier.

Trigger Bug
After update I'm experiencing that while playing pubg trigger suddenly stop working in between the game. Although when I open the trigger button option and save it. It starts working again but you know it's buggy. Also Red Magic Time has been introduced to record highlights but if you get last kill in pubg it's not included in the highlights. However the recording quality is nice. I hope Nubia solves it by next update.

In Game Mode (GameSpace to be Exact) you can find Red MagicTime after update you just have to click it. It will record automatically when match starts. Also you can just record either highlights (default) or the whole match. If you wish to choose it in settings.
Do the triggers bring up playback controls in YouTube still?

Yes, for me it still does this, unfortunately
It does the same thing in Firefox and Chrome when I watch a video.
It's silly, the triggers should work only in Game mode...

Yes it is. I have not had a single issue with it. After sideloading the OTA, there was a message about registering my sim. My guess would be it was looking for an esim, which I don't have, but after that my sim was recognized and all has been running smoothly.
works fine for me, the only issue I've found is with GooglePay, where it doesn't allow me to add a credit card.
On a good note, they implemented VoLTE services with my network provider (TIM Italy) not available on Android O/10

You won't get an ota ota's won't be available till beta comes out
So you have to manually install ota images via fastboot on a PC or sideload the ota image instructions are on Google website if you need it

Actually, if you have dp1 installed, they sent out an OTA
just update to bonito-ota-rpp2.200227.014 via ota

Exactly, Colors are all over the place, notifications are a mess, user friendliness has gone for a toss, android auto is ****, its almost begging users to switch to iOS, its a bloody shame, seems like no body is incharge, and everyone in all departments are experimenting forever.
Dont even start about play store!!
Apps look horrible forever. Believe me people will easily buy Pixel if only google appoints one person for whole os rather than army of different people with different ideas.

I regret installing the android preview. It is very buggy and for some reason when I use YouTube it starts scrolling thru the comments section without me touching the screen.
I have to agree, android has gotten pretty ugly. Remember Honeycomb? It was kind of rad in it own rights. Had a color scheme, they introduced the Roboto font, the wallpapers looked like they all belonged to a pack and nit just random stock images of bubbles. Holo kept everything uniform. It seemed to be the 1st and last time they had a clear concise vision for an OS.
Hell, the little android guy was a bee lol.

Why did you install it? IT'S A DEVELOPER RELEASE! You experienced exactly what is expected. The release is PRE-BETA and for developers and enthusiasts to test and report issues. In other words, you are suppose to experience bugs - that's the whole purpose of the release.
Did you even report your issues? Probably not. I'm sure it was just easier to come online and complain about your experience.

I would rly love to have Google Discover in the Stock one ui 3.1 launcher. Right now this privileg is reserved for s21 and I dont see any hardware related reason why this should not be a feature on my s20 Fe 5g.
I tried using App cloner but the launcher crashed in a loop.
So my question is. Did or can someone provide an apk with Google discovery enabled.
I'm not rooted yet and I would like to keep it like that.

Same here.
I've read somewhere that only phones launched in 2021 have the option of Google Discover.
SamMobile has been able to confirm that only phones that ship with One UI 3.1 out of the box will have the Discover integration. Other phones that are receiving the update will have to make do with Samsung Free, which offers news from Taboola News, free TV programs (using Samsung TV Plus), and some pretty bad PWA games.

On Android 12 OneUI 4.0 i had to add that line to system>etc>floating_feature.xml
Is it possible to enable google now/discover page using adb commands? I am not nowe to rooting, i flashed various custom roms on nexuses, pixels, xiaomi and onepluses before so that is not an issue for me. The issue is i need my phone to work reliably with working updates, google pay and other drm/bank ****, so possibility of safetynet failing with an update is not an option for me. I also use secire folder so that would probably get broken too.
I only need the google feed page to be honest, every other mod including animation speeds, poweramp equalizer etc can be done via adb. Also using a different launcher is not an option because I use gestures, and samsungs oneui does not play well with third party launchers when using gesutres.
Try these alternatives in videos if wanna use google discover in S20 fe 5g

no, I think it's minimum requierment to install BETA software.
It would be interesting to check if on the P20 pro also the new high-res mode will be available in the camera app.
It uses a process similar to gcam taking multiple frames of the same photo and overlays them to maximise detail

you are german, are you? (bc of the "onkel" in your name) You need to have a german sim card or a card from another country that does beta tests in your phone. Its important that its selected as default for mobile data and in the first sim card slot and you should be able to join the beta project. You can still join, since the end of the coutdown (monday 18.04) at least 15 people joined the tests after "the end" so I think you can still join until its full and there are actually 127 persons of 100.000.

I saw in other forums that people reported that with emui 10 the phone changes the way it focuses.
For instance, comparing pictures of the same objects taken with older emui and the latest, they show that with older emui the entire picture is in focus.
On the other hand on emui 10 it was shown that several areas in the "same" picture are out of focus.
I also noticed something similar and thus reverted to emui 8.

Ok thanks, I tried it with Austria A1. I will check if it is working.
UPDATE: Huawei's german support said me that "rollout" is planned to the end of this month so I think I should get the update to the end of this week. To quote support: "According to the latest information, the beta test for the devices in Germany should start at the end of this month." So far there are 149 beta testers.

I haven't had the chance to download the beta version yet, so I'm even more excited to see what will be introduced to us this Thursday.
I have watched ours of YT videos about Android Tiramisu and One UI 5, but haven't noticed many changes or real upgrades that would make it attractive to me. I saw a preview of ColorOS 13' design and the quantum animation engine which looks like it will boost the app performance and usability.

What are you expecting from this upcoming launch? I saw the teaser posts where it says "smart & connect" so I expect that we will see a feature or function that integrates the device into a wider system, maybe with the OPPO Pad. Also I think we will see a big pump in performance through the quantum animation engine

Been trying out different features, mostly the Bitmoji in AOD but it has been causing my phone to heat up in minutes. I turned it off for now but it's cute that they integrated it as a new feature.
Did you experience any overheating too?

In the new AOD settings, there are new features such as
Contextual Info which gives you options to add Music playback which opens your Spotify, and there are
Supported Apps which gives me a Chinese menu and says No data yet

I've had the beta version since the 3rd and I have had a love-hate relationship with it throughout the past few weeks, at least until the 2nd patch of updates.
I like how edge lighting is included whenever you receive notifications
Sure Bitmoji, Climate Change, and the new AOD playback is cool. I tried turning on Screen always on and within a couple of minutes, my phone was heating up - so I'm not sure how I feel about this yet
I like the smart sidebar, but I have already seen this in One UI 4.0 so it's just nice to have it here now
The media player widget section in the shelf drawer is only okay if you're playing any music. Since I don't use it, I don't like it as much since I can't remove it.

This is likely an improvement to PC Connect since they have their own tablet. They are all probably connected through the oppo-verse.

It's interconnectivity across their devices since they have a tablet coming out

A demo was shown in the launch last night. You can view your phone screen on your laptop and use it from there. A useful feature for when you are on your laptop and don't want to get inconvenienced holding your phone or if you have it in a bag.
