Hi!
Does it (Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020)still wok on android 11 and in this case Poco x3 pro?
Can I use OrangeFox-Unofficial-vayu to flash it? Iknow first I have to format the data-partition.
Thanks!

well, for me that didnt work.
I had to flash specific modifed vendor to disable encryption.
Disabling the encryption is NOT necessary for any of the custom roms
guys, before we let this happen, we should at least know why they want to even disable encryption. because I don't see any reason why you would even do that when we have a recovery that can read encrypted data partition

You must have patched boot img with dm-verity and forced encryption disabled to flash anything or modify /system. Use rootkernel method posted in guides forum.
Note that I don't know anything about this stuff, I just followed a guide and it happened to work. I couldn't tell you anything technical.

Does this one support decrypting an encrypted partition? I set a pin lock on the system and have encryption enabled. Entering the pin doesn't decrypt ir in twrp

Haven't tested encryption, but according to twrp changelog, issues on O were improved in 3.2, so probably won't work with anything older. Test and let us know...

I know. I just intentionally keeping the force-encrypt. I tried all of pin, password on swipe/none. None of them work on twrp. I am not sure whether I did something wrong or it is not supported.
Next time I flash I would consider disabling the force encrypt.

I don't think it will work as long as Sony force encrypt is active. You can encrypt device through settings if you want. Maybe a more official TWRP will be able to do it...
Hey, I'm a bit irritated by the fact that everytime when installing a rom I have to make a full format because of the encryption. Is there a way to permanently disable it?

So I understand that now you don't have to do a full format when switching to a different, but do you still need to install OOS before installing other roms?

From my experience all I did was wipe data once in twrp and then you are good to go flashing any ROM
Will this work for OnePlus 6T as well? I wish to upgrade to an Android 13 custom ROM from the current OOS 11. The device is rooted.

Use twrp by "./fastboot boot TWRP-3.5.1-vayu-Nebrassy-1.img" with Orangefox as the permanent recovery. Twrp is able to flash, backup and restore. I use Orangefox for formating data and rom flashing (for first time only) only in some rare occasion when twrp failed to read/write data. Orangefox is also used for fastbootd.
I also backup the data from Arrow and restore it in Hovoc using twrp. It works without any problem.

There is no problem of Whatsapp in Havoc. All my data (including Whatsapp) was restored from the backup (using twrp) which I have in ArrowOS. I usually backup in Pc in case of something goes wrong.

Yes, I understand your point. What I am trying to share is Whatsapp is working fine in Havoc. The problem could be due to others may be related to google (service or app). I have not used gdrive backup/restore before and unable to share anything. I am using NikGapps basic too.
Hello guys. I wanted to test the GSI of Android 13 for Poco X3 pro. Ok so, i have two questions. I have broken my pc so i can't use it. Since the file is a "system.img", would there be any way to flash it via TWRP for example ? Also, the GSI is an A/B rom. I checked the app named "Treble checker", my phone is compatible. But, it says it only has an A slot. Would i still be able to flash it ? Thanks in advance.
Why, for the love of all that is wonderful in the world, would you want to try that?! It's your money and your phone, dude. Do as you wish. But I advise against it.
shouldn't the DSU be able to boot a GSI without actually flashing it?
So i can't flash a gsi with twrp. What about the A/B roms
What do you mean by the way

I do have a P900 myself and may be able to help.
Please give some more info about the state.
Battery fully loaded?
Any experience in flashing a ROM?
Which ROM is installed?
Any data on it that you wanna keep?
There is a forum especially for this device so it may be useful to ask a mod to move it to there.

Which stock ROM was installed?
Mandatory to have latest stock 5.0.1 as that bootloader is needed to use a custom Nougat and above.

Here is a very good description of how-to (look for clean installation) which of course you have to adopt to your device regarding the files.
