Hey, I'm a bit irritated by the fact that everytime when installing a rom I have to make a full format because of the encryption. Is there a way to permanently disable it?

So I understand that now you don't have to do a full format when switching to a different, but do you still need to install OOS before installing other roms?

From my experience all I did was wipe data once in twrp and then you are good to go flashing any ROM
Will this work for OnePlus 6T as well? I wish to upgrade to an Android 13 custom ROM from the current OOS 11. The device is rooted.

It has been exactly 7 days for me.
And for flashing, just search for "TWRP_umi.img".

For me it's 15 days (360 hours) until I can unlock
I unlocked installed the twrp from xiaomi.eu wiped data and attempted to install the rom, but the phone keeps booting back to recovery and will not start up

You need to format data and then install the right ROM for your device.

TWRP from xiaomi eu? I'm not sure but i guess you need to flash vbmeta.img too.....
Try that if format /data doesn't work.

clear dalvik cache
clear data
Do NOT touch system
now flash zip file
wen done
reboot twrp
do the same step again as above
(dont flash flashing zip file again)
wen done reboot to system

That was the problem I wiped data instead of Formatting. Thanks for reminding me. Everything is good for now.
Everytime i install a custom rom it lags and starts with system ui stopped working and then restarts like my phone is unsuable now and idk what to do cause even i cant go back to stock rom, any ideas?

There you are. You can't flash custom ROM directly from RUI. You must flash Color OS firmware before you flash customer ROM. Except if Oxygen OS port.

According to my knowledge downgrade isn't possible but you can flash cos rom then after full wipe custom ROM so the custom ROM will work fine. So I heard.

I successfully downgraded from C01 to A.16 by doing this.
1 flash A.16 colour os stock boot and recovery
2 flash twrp
3 connect to computer and download A.16 to internal memory
4 wipe everything
5 flash A.16 from internal
6 reboot
Some other people downgraded by just flashing Color Os .ozip from Sd card without 1 step.
You just need to try yourself what's working for your device.

So you're saying i should flash the custom rom then format data from twrp?
I will try that soon cause i spent a whole day trying to make it work and i ended up with realme ui again ?
First downgrade to original colour os then flash twrp again and wipe everything.
After this you should be able to flash custom ROMs without any issues.

I heard it works. But I can't know for sure. I hate cos since the very first minute ? That's why I'm on custom rom and or gsi.

A lot of my apps tell me the sd card is read only.
Not all (Total Commander for example has no problems)
Any Idea what is wrong here?

It worked like a charm the only problem i am facing is that mobile data not working properly and have a very bad speed after flashing this rom

Yeah... Custom Rom have so much bug like weak signal or lose internet data...so need more time to make it stable
Hi guys i need your help. i was in miui 12.55 and was running magisk 23. i updated to miui 13. but then phone is stuck in twrp.
i tried updating to latest magisk. again boot to twrp only.
i also updated twrp to the latest version.
again nothing.
i read everuwehere tha the problem is with android 12. but in xiaomi mi note 10 pro we dont get android 12 yet. so why am i facing this problem?
is there a way to fix my phone without formating?

still i am stuck in twrp. any suggestions?

Formatting the data and flashing the rom is in my opinion the only way for the phone to restart.
You can try a backup with twrp but it doesn't always work.
Before updating you can use Miphone assistant+micloud+google.

Use the right TWRP and sometimes it is necessary to format the data several times and restarting on the twrp at each try.
but if the partitions are damaged Miflash can help you
ok i completely ruined everything.
i did an adnaced wipe before truying format data. now it says o dont have an os installed.

Which stock ROM was installed?
Mandatory to have latest stock 5.0.1 as that bootloader is needed to use a custom Nougat and above.
Which TWRP version?
Mine is on LOS14.1 (need the camera) and twrp-3.6.0_9-0-v1awifi.img.

OK! It came with android 5.0.2(https://sfirmware.com/samsung-sm-p900 is all information on mine)
Also, it Boot looped and then corrupt the system and twrp detects no os installed

Here is a very good description of how-to (look for clean installation) which of course you have to adopt to your device regarding the files.
