There you are. You can't flash custom ROM directly from RUI. You must flash Color OS firmware before you flash customer ROM. Except if Oxygen OS port.
Oh, is it even possible to downgrade to color os?

According to my knowledge downgrade isn't possible but you can flash cos rom then after full wipe custom ROM so the custom ROM will work fine. So I heard.

I successfully downgraded from C01 to A.16 by doing this.
1 flash A.16 colour os stock boot and recovery
2 flash twrp
3 connect to computer and download A.16 to internal memory
4 wipe everything
5 flash A.16 from internal
6 reboot
Some other people downgraded by just flashing Color Os .ozip from Sd card without 1 step.
You just need to try yourself what's working for your device.

So you're saying i should flash the custom rom then format data from twrp?
I will try that soon cause i spent a whole day trying to make it work and i ended up with realme ui again ?
First downgrade to original colour os then flash twrp again and wipe everything.
After this you should be able to flash custom ROMs without any issues.

Hi everyone, here's my issue with the Xiaomi Mi 4 (Kitkat); sometimes the sim card isn't recognized by the phone for like 15 seconds, and I have random apps that doesn't have access to internet sometimes (snappchat, youtube, gmail...) while other works normally.
So I'm trying to change my ROM to see if it fix the problem, but nooo, everytime I try to flash a ROM (I haven't found any ROM working), I have that Error 7, installation aborted ...
So of course I followed the famous tutorial that explain you have to delet 'assert' in the 'updater-script', but still, there's no 'assert' line in any of the ROM I tried.
I have no other solution but to request your help and hopefully find the genius that will save me
Thank you for your time

I dont use skype. Anyway I underatand your problem. I think you were on old partition of kitkat. And you haven't merged partition and create new partition of marshmallow miui. Thats why you can't flash any rom based on marshmallow.
Just simply do one thing. Flash any KITKAT based official MIUI rom. Then go to updater. It will show you new marshmallow based rom is available for update. Then update it from there. Now you will have official global miui 7 rom and at the same time you will have new partition also. And then you can flash and install any custom rom easily

Do not install this ROM. My screen did not work after installation. I hardly went into the fastboot and with the help of MiFlash I repaired it.
P.s Now at startup instead of the logo Mi, I have an Asus logo.
I tested this rom 2 weeks ago. In my case it was very stable, everything works out of the IR port and the gif mode in the camera.
is it based on nougat?

You could flash splash.img in stock rom to restore it.
I downloaded the and observed that
Rom contains firmware files also
Why that files are needed
It may brick the device?
Please correct me if i am thinking wrong way
@addy692
Rom is based on 6.0.1, you can install without worry. Just to install another ROM just make a full WIPE + format DATA + flash original splash screen miui:

If i remove the firmware part from the rom zip amd then flash only system and boot
Will it work??
I do not know. I installed it in full and it worked fine.
One more thing .. This rom tolerates an external memory card only if it is formatted in FAT32. Unfortunately, it is a pain in the Zenfone.
This tool format sdcard to FAT32 system:
http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/guiformat.exe
Works well with Samsung 128GB sdcard

@kamalpreetsingh
I have written what does not work and what to do with the memory card. Root install SuperSU flash through twrp. The system is very fast and stable only the quality of the phone calls in my opinion is worse than in lineage or in miui.
@budie69
After installation, the first system boot takes a long time, you have to be patient.
I Have some Question
1. Does This Rom Booted Up?
2. How To install This Rom ?, Does its need to Delete the Firmware first?
3. Is there any Bug Present? Sensor? FP? IR Blaster?
4. Does this is The Real ZenUI or Just Mooded Lineage?
Thx Before

From my experience all I did was wipe data once in twrp and then you are good to go flashing any ROM
Will this work for OnePlus 6T as well? I wish to upgrade to an Android 13 custom ROM from the current OOS 11. The device is rooted.
As the title says i have mayor issues instaling miui.eu. It is on this p2pro and also on mi10t.
So instalation goes without any problem but then it goes into boot loop. It has ofc encripted data and storage which i do wipe and still does boot loop. Where is the mistake there?
Fyi i have done this on all my other older xiaomi phones with ease - f1, mix2s, rn3pro, mi5, mi5s, rn5pro, rn7... All of them went easily but this last two is making it damn hard. Any idea is much apriciated

Ok hold on guys. I got what i found. Twrp used is some 3.5.1_10 MB v1.2. I tried orange fox but it does not see storage and one before that could not install magisk properly.
Buddies, please urgent help. I flashed V12.5.1.0.RJKMIXM without problem and it was working. I had lost twrp and magisk and thought it won't be a problem to flash them back. By a silly mind I flashed twrp and magisk 21.4.zip again. Now The phone doesn't boot and bootloop after MIUI screen. I have very important data on my phone and I can't see data partition. From twrp, When I click select storage, internal Storage (0.00 MB) seems 0 MB. I never clicked on wipe data option after flashing magisk. I only wiped dalvik and cache.
How can I save my data? It seems there is no fastboot rom to flash. I am downloading recovery ROM again to give it a try. I hope it saves me. Please give me suggestions if you have any.
thanks beforehand... :'(

Yes as you said all twrp versions are the same. It is due to A11. I will try to root the device with boot.img.
I need root for backing up apps with swift backup app. I also need it for some apps.
I realized that I can see internal storage data without formatting the phone. I just changed TWRP from ManuelBlanco's to LR Team's via fastboot and the internal storage became visible. I think this is easier than formatting the whole phone every time changing ROM.
However Magisk pathched boot.img doesn't work. Phone bootloops with that boot. I reflashed original boot.img I don't know why Magisk doesn't work properly...
