TWRP 3.2.1-0 port - Sony Xperia X Compact ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, &

Ported TWRP 3.2.1-0 from official X performance build.
You must have patched boot img with dm-verity and forced encryption disabled to flash anything or modify /system. Use rootkernel method posted in guides forum.
Note that I don't know anything about this stuff, I just followed a guide and it happened to work. I couldn't tell you anything technical.

Update - now working on O with root - https://forum.xda-developers.com/x-compact/how-to/stock-8-0-root-recovery-t3747479
Note - decrypt data not working, but system mods working normally.

Ported TWRP 3.2.1-0 from official X performance build, if anyone wants to try. I was wondering if it might work on our new O, but its doesn't, (same issues as 3.1.1). Anyway, besides that, it seems working pretty good on N, so figured I'd share...

Does this one support decrypting an encrypted partition? I set a pin lock on the system and have encryption enabled. Entering the pin doesn't decrypt ir in twrp

Haven't tested encryption, but according to twrp changelog, issues on O were improved in 3.2, so probably won't work with anything older. Test and let us know...

I know. I just intentionally keeping the force-encrypt. I tried all of pin, password on swipe/none. None of them work on twrp. I am not sure whether I did something wrong or it is not supported.
Next time I flash I would consider disabling the force encrypt.

I don't think it will work as long as Sony force encrypt is active. You can encrypt device through settings if you want. Maybe a more official TWRP will be able to do it...

Which version of TWRP did you flash ?
Also, I have this problem too, but after set a PIN code (because of the fingerprint use) I have to enter a code in TWRP. I try the PIN code, and it's working

If your bootloader is unlock you don't have to downgrade to 6.0.1
For the rest, follow my guide. I didn't say to flash androplus through Flashtool, but through the terminal. Take some time to read it, and understand the procedure

On Mi4s aqua, sdcard is not mounting
@op kindly cek how the twrp reading the build finger print as it failed to read the sytem build.prop instead its reading the twrp build.prop when it calls by edify on updater script, thus it makes ota flashing unsuccessful.... Thanks in advance keep up the good works.

I don't think build fingerprint has anything to do with it.

Great. No problem.
Regarding MIUI OTA, investigation shows that I'd need to do some ugly hacks to support it. I'll think about it but I don't intend using MIUI or flashing it so I'll work blindly. And ZCX doesn't have sources anywhere so I can't look at it.
Thanks you !!!! You are best !!!!

Put your phone in fastboot mode, and flash by fastboot
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
then start phone with buttons power on and vol+ to go back to twrp.
maybe you will have to do wipe data to clear encryption , i have to do that after flashing on chines 9.7.18
would be nice to tell as you have already install custom rom so maybe all will be ok.
