Hello
I have a problem with my f2 pro. After updating to android 11 I got some weird scrolling problem. When I'm scrolling it suddenly stops and I need to take my finger off screen and put it again. I'm attaching video with that problem.
Rebooting phone helps for a while but after a while the problem returns.
My current miui version is: 12.2.4.0(RJKMIXM).
I don't know if it is software problem or maybe hardware issue.
Thanks for your help
deleted.
I have the same problem as you have as. It started after the phone was upgraded android 11. As you said rebooting the phone is solving the problem temporarily, then a few hours later it repeats.
I think it should be software problem, not a hardware problem.
Anyone else have this problem?

I had the same problem, I couldn't even drag and drop icons from one screen to another, it looked like the digitizer "thought" that I removed my finger, reset to factory settings solved it in my case. Setting everything up from the scratch was a pain though...

Hi, i reset the factory settings on saturday. It's solved on that day but today (4 days later) i have the same problem again. I think it should be android 11 problem, it mustn't be hardware problem because it started after android 11. And it's very annoying. I have to restart the phone after i see the problem.

Is it possible that it's one of the apps that you installed causing this?
Did you try to replicate the problem using your phone in safe mode (without third party apps)?

Hi to all!
I have a strange problem with my HTC s710.
I bought it a month ago and it worked fine for a while, then it started to shutdown the display. Then it appears again, and the it turns off... it continues to work, but you can see nothing because the display turns off.
It's impossibile to use it. The HTC customer care sended back my phone after having upgraded the software but the problem is still here.
They wrote: "upgraded software and no problems found" but it's not really true.
I can't use the phone because the display turns off while i'm using it...
i tried to hard reset it several time without results.
Please, help me...
I would take it apart, clean the contacts and make sure it is seated properly. Does it happen when you're not using the device? Say if it's sitting on the table will the display flicker?
Unfortunately this is a very common problem with the S710... Since so many people are experiencing this issue with their phones even after hard resetting & changing roms I strongly believe it's a hardware issue.
It's not s710 only, even the microsoft emulator also have the problem
Look in the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Power The Dword-key "Display". It sets the seconds for display timout. It overrides every other setting!
It happens while i'm using the phone...
for example, if i'm writing an sms, it suddenly turns off the display... then i have to wait for a while and the it appears again... and this go on for all the time...
same problem to me.... dunno what the source of the problem is
guess gonna have to take it back and ask for refund
i've already send it back to the HTC customer care and they said there is nothing to do because it works fine... (oh my god!)
I think it's an hardware problem...
Display blackout
I got the same problem too, did rom upgrades but no success, it s**ks
Its an intermittent fault.
Should someone identify the problem pls let me know !!
This is almost sure a connection problem of the Flex-cable between upper and lower part of the device. Search related threads here or on MoDaCo.
s710 display issues
Hi Guys,
This is not a LCD or flex issue, neither is it a connection issue.
The actual fault is the display driver on the main board, it seems to be an intermittant fault.
please post your findings on this topic....
bro am also havin the same problem but they say it seems to replace the board which costs 9k... hw can i fix this problem pls help me i bought this stuff for 17 k...

What makes you so sure it is not HW related? The only thing that really changes over time is the HW (as you slide in/out the keyboard, move the device etc.pp) - SW stays as it is and if even ROM reload does not fix it, well I feel rather sure it is HW.
Anyway, hunting intermittent faults is hard to do and you may construct a causality from just coincident events - no fun nailing this down.
any solution for my problem..?
I have had so many power related issues so far. Sometimes it is the battery, sometimes it is the charging connector, sometimes LCD and sometimes even the whole circuit board.
When i had the same problem relating to intermittent off displays, I got it repaired in the warranty and they had to change the main board. I dont think there is any other solution to your problem!
Display failure
The failure of the screen is not the problem on my Vox. My screen always jumps back to the Home screen. Even while writing an SMS or scrolling in the application menu. Is there a possibility that there ever comes a Dutch version for my Vox?
It happens to me also. I tried to open the device, take everything apart then mount everything back. The problem stays. I tried hard rest, ROM flashing, soft reset, changing settings etc etc etc... The problem is still here.
Then, I left the mobile without using it for 6 month or so. I am using it again and the problem doesn't happen so often but still happens. Any news on this matter?
I solved this problem because my device was still under warranty: I had to get back it to HTC four times before to fix it.
They changed me three motherboard and finally it seems to work fine...
hi,behind the sim reader there is a small switch, either open it or close it,remove the sim reader to and push it back to open the switch or open the housing and do it manuelly.

And what is supposed to happen after that? Also, I guess we have to open again the phone to find this switch because I can't see any switch otherwise. Can you please post a picture of it?
hi,
I'm not sure when exactly this issue started on my phone, but I updated my touch pro with the chevron updater and have quite a lot of apps installed.
after several seconds workling with the phone, the touch screen stops working while the phone acts perfectly normal. I can use the keyboard and tilt the phone but I cannot use the touch screen anymore.
By turning the phone off and on it works again.
has anyone experienced a behavior like this?
I noticed my touchscreen becoming unresponsive when loading particular websites. Even had it freeze once (only time it ever froze on me)
What were you doing when it does this? Do you have the multitasking reg edit on?

I know this is an old thread but this is the only reference to the exact same problem that I'm having. I'm having difficulty putting this down to hardware as the screen becomes responsive again when locking and unlocking which might point to software.
It could be a hardware issue that is resolved by locking then unlocking the phone but I don't know enough about the construction of it to have an opinion.
The advice I've had from htc is to wipe the 'phone and start again but I don't expect that to solve it (especially as their call handling system refers to Window Mobile 7 - the second large commercial organisation I've seen that on in recent weeks without looking too hard!).
Has anyone else seen this since the original post or @exilkubaner was a solution found to your problem?
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem. I hard reset my HTC 7 Pro, but no success, my screen doesn't respond until i lock/unlock the device.
So, any one have resolved this issue since the first post ?
Regards
Had the same issue, but I didn't have any roms installed.
Brought it in to Sprint and they found that I had a fried ribbon connecting the screen to the phone. Replaced under warranty.
It happened again, I determined that it was caused by my click in belt clip/holster. When I pull the phone out, it pulls the screen away from the keyboard a bit.
^Wow. Nice find. I'll have to be careful with mine now as I could easily run in to the same problem pulling it out like that.
Hiya!
Just updated to Marshmallow, pretty happy overall. Problem is - whenever my phone dozes, waking up takes longer (15 secs?) and produces artifacts on screen. No clue how to fix that. Any help here? Screenshot: http://m.imgur.com/WcrolaT )
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
i got the same issue !
Did you solve it already ?
same yuh nothing I seem to do can fix it also when I got an incoming call the screen freezes most time its annoying, any1 got any ideas
did you do a factory reset after the update?
factory reset
yes I did this at first it done nothing then a day or 2 later it was bk to normally for couple of days and now its gone to being slow again
i don't have this issue, i have been using 6.0.1 since it came out...1 month ago...
Hi all,
Just got this Mi Note 10 today and while setting up the phone I started to get those weird screen touches..
Happened so often that I enabled 'Show Taps' via developer options and recorded it here:

Okay, this is weird. Which version is it? And did you have already tried to reset your device? If it's still there it's probably a hardware defect.

Right, so no fix really... disappointing as the cameras are impressive
My device came shipped with Android Pie Based Miui 11, no screen weirdness. Just after the Android 10 updates that ghost touches appear. So I guess it's just software bug.
me too, sure software problem.
Thanks for the feedback, if software-related were you able to roll back to fix this?
Happy to try a workaround as I'm very reluctant to send it back..
worth a try though, but unfortunately Xiaomi didn't provide stock ROM specifically for my region so I left with no choice
Completely puzzled as I did a Factory Reset via Recovery and haven't seen the issue for past 2 days, I've left the screen touch tracing on and no 'ghost touch' was recorded..
so I don't know what to believe anymore, got an open return ticket but would hate to send it back without needing to..
how can I make sure issue is gone?
Hi, i had this problem 3 weeks ago, temporary solved with hard reset, worked perfectly until yesterday night when this problem went back.
Hard reset again, problem still there.
Someone solved it permanently?
It is really weird because, if i turn off/on the display, sometime works sometime not :S
The phone came with Android 9 and I started to face this after updating to Android 10. The issue is not extreme as shown in the video, it just the touch becomes slow to respond and hard to type fast with the keyboard. Turning off the screen and turning back on solves it temporarily sometimes.
I tried disabling on screen fingerprint and the problem seems to be reduced now. Definitely a software bug
I'm using Mi note 10 lite it also has same problem. Sometime touch freezing and after press power button automatically fix. Some time need to restart. And also one person told me he is fixed by this issue by turned off fingerprint sensor.

I have the exact same problem as you, slow to respond and hard to type. Need to apply more force on the screen for it to respond. This happened randomly throughout the day but are more common during night time for me.
I think it has something to do with the screen lock pin or fingerprint, by changing the screen lock from ie pin to pattern or turning off fingerprint print seems to temporary fix the issue. Another solution is to reboot the phone. I'm using Note 10 Lite btw.

I am using the Pro version. Looks like this issue is common for all the phone models in the Note 10 series. Yes, I have noticed that this issue often happens at night.
Try switching off MIUI optimization under Developer Options and restart your device. Then switch it On and restart again. This workaround solved my issue.

This fixed the issue for a few days and it started to reappear again. When the issue appears, if I turn on Game Turbo for any app (eg: WhatsApp) that particular app doesn't have this touch issue. Looks like a software optimization or battery optimization of MIUI is causing this issue

What firmware version are u in?
I'm currently at 11.0.16.0 and fortunately this issue did not yet reappeared after the workaround.
This is definitely a software ISSUE with MIUI.

MIUI 11.1.3.0 Global Stable
Will try out the MIUI optimization to see whether issue still arise. I'll see if my game turbo have the same issue as you too.
I'm currently at 11.0.7.0 (Mi Note 10 Lite)
Edit: Mi optimisation doesn't work for me but the Game Turbo trick do work.
Hello, I have 3 poco x3 pro phones among my friends, we were looking for a way to remove this ghost touch and I think we've done it .. We had a week with all settings and there is a solution. Turn off miumi optimization (in developer settings), reset the phone, then download another launcher we downloaded the nova launcher and uninstall my launcher then reset the phone again and .. No ghost touch for 6 days !!! And that's on 3 phones. We also have a setting for 60hz .. It's worth trying, maybe it will help you too
Reset? Like Factory Reset?
reset or reboot the phone?
Reset means? Factory reset or reboot?
Update to 12.5.5.
I have 2 days in xiaomi.eu 12.5.5 and finally after 2 months the ghost touch has been dissapear.
This happened to me twice, I got moisture trapped in the crevice between the jelly case and the screen. The issue went away after I disregarded it and just went on with my daily life. It's the small things that gets the best out of us, but don't let it ruin your everyday life.
Update your software miui
Hi, I had the same problem before. I tried all the hints about developer settings and so on, but nothing really helped, it always came back after a little while.
I had a feeling it had to do something with high activity on the display or touch. In my case it often happened after lots of activity on the screen.
I disabled a background I had running, Earth 3D, and now the ghost touch effect is fully gone.
The rest of my system is pretty normal with latest original Poco launcher. So here I would say it is a firmware / systembug and some software might be incompatible at this state.
Hope this helps to find a temporary solution for yourself until Xiaomi delivers a solution (lets see how their support takes things serious)

Same here.
till in 12.5.4 i disabled the game turbo and used microsoft or other launcher, and that had helped me with the ghost touch issue. 12.5.5 doesnot have such issues.
On mine, i send it to service center. They replace screen module.

Installed another launcher, ghost touch seems to be fixed. Seems like the ghost touch is a software bug of the poco launcher.

The fingerprint sensor does NOT work if you lock the device using Nova launcher shortcut.
Which sucks

This flashable ZIP is totally unrelated to the screen. It contains modified drivers for the fingerprint reader.
The only thing it could possibly fix is scrolling issues when touching the finerprint reader. But if you have actual ghost touches on the screen this won't help you.

Can confirm. Installed No Gravity Kernel (v3.0.1) over LineageOS 19.1 and no ghost touches since.
Update: One full week, zero ghost touches.
