Ok i saw a few people wanting to find their MSL with out CDMA workshop or customer service. I'll show you how. (I guess this doesn't work for some who installed the OTA update. I installed the OTA and am rooted and it worked for me.)
1. Install aLogcat from the market (its awesome and free)
2. From your dial pad dial ##3282# when the EPST menu pops up select view mode
3.Open aLogcat let it run for a sec and let it catch up
4. Press menu then press send and select email
5. Enter your own email address and send it
6. From your computer open the email and hit CTRL and F at the same time it will bring up a search bar
7. In the search bar type in MSL and hit enter
8. You should now be looking at a line like this
I/EpstBroadcastReceiver( 2089): MSLCODE 1:+HTC_RMSL:######
the #s are where your MSL will be
9. You are welcome!!
I heard this doesn't work anymore after the ota. I have tried a similar method using the ame app but no luck. Does emailing the log make a difference cuz i just scanned the log on the phone looking for that msl entry.
Couldn't find it. Followed each step to a T.
I'm on the latest OTA, rooted, BTW.
They fixed it with the first OTA. If you can get back to a pre-ota stock then that works fine.
Otherwise the easiest way is to simply call Sprint and ask.
i never had OTA ( still don't ) and it still doesnt show anywhere...btw

Then you bought our phone with it already updated most likely. Because it works with the base ROM that the Evo was released with. It's how I got mine.
this should not be posted in the development subforum. An article stating the same thing, which afaik doesnt work any longer due to the first OTA, has already been created over a month ago. The easiest way is to call Sprint and ask them. It takes two minutes.
Mods, please move this topic to General or QA.
Thanks

As an FYI if you want the mods to move something (given that I doubt they have time to sift through every post of every thread) click the little ! icon on the upper right corner of the OP. That brings the post to their attention.
i have the ota (rooted) and it worked for me
if you want a good reason to give sprint customer service tell them every time you open an app that uses gps the phone crashes. tell them you need to reset the gps receiver using ##4772579# and you need your msl to do so. they didnt even ask me why when i asked for mine.

no i just find it easier to scan stuff on the computer especially since my log was 10+ pages
perhaps OP can change the name of this thread since it does work once the OTAs have been applied....hence it is wrong.
Bummer. No go in Froyo.
Hello,
Its been months I've been trying to register to htcdev.com so that I can unlock my HTC u11's bootloader. Everytime I register, I just get the same page with inputs cleared. So I started debugging using chrome dev tools and I saw the network trace. Here's what I found.
The site never makes any form of POST request to its server which it should, if it want to send the data we filled in.
There is a simple GET call called /register which just returns the same page with forms cleared.
https://imgur.com/a/NMday
Looking into the source, I saw that the form submit has an id=registration_submit. but that is nowhere used inside any of the javascipt that is in the page.
So my question is, is HTC playing double agent? showing us the face that it really want to help customers by giving the freedom to unlock bootloader while actually preventing it so that its bloatware vendors can be happy? or is it just a bug thats gone unnoticed?
EDIT: This indeed seems like one of those weird chrome bugs. Tried in IE and it worked like a charm. I apologize for my prejudice behavior. Thanks everyone!
Have you tried another browser? If I remember correctly I had the same results that you posted when using Chrome, but it worked fine when using IE. I could be wrong it has been quite some time since I unlocked mine, and my memory isn't as good as it used to be.
Today tried register and Htc emailed me activation link.I opened activation link and htcdev.com says: "Invalid activation request".
Also earlier tried reset my old account password coz forgot it and htc did not send me the new pass...
Hi all,
I've updated my U12+ to Pie.
On Oreo I had a version of HTC Gallery which worked perfect, with the thick black bar on the bottom removed.
(it was version 10.20.836439 which was modded by someone on here I think)
I am pretty sure I found it here on XDA, but I can't seem to find it anymore.
I tried searching but am obviously using the worng search phrases.
Does anyone have a link to that version of HTC Gallery?
I tried putting a backup from Titnium Backup on my phone again, but it won't play nice (can't safe modded files on my sd card)
Any help woul dbe greatly appreciated..

When you're so sure about the version number, why don't you try to look for that number on the web, i've found some app with that number, but is not installable.

I'm not sure, hence I said "I think"
Also, I searched on the web and found the same you found, not installable.
Sorry, but if you think I don't know how to search, you're wrong.
But thanks for your input and help.
Much appreciated...sigh
Is there a way to bypass the FRP on the ONN tablet? This was given to me by my MIL and she set it up for my nephew and now cannot remember what account it was used for. Is there a way to bypass the FRP or do I just need to trash it

It's possible, but the method depends on what android version you have.
Can you give me the specific model number of the device and can you tell me what android version the device has installed? I'll see what I can find. I've done this on some RCA tablets from Walmart and a few other devices. It wasn't too difficult.
There are actually a lot of videos on YouTube that discuss different ways of bypassing FRP. I did some Google searching for methods to bypass FRP on the specific model numbers of the devices I had, I found a lot of videos on YouTube. Then, I kept trying the methods that I found until I found one that worked.

Not the device name, the model number, you can find it by going to system settings>about >hardware info>model number or system settings>about>model number.

Try asking people in the thread linked below. They've figured out how to do quite a few different things on that device in that thread.

I had the same problem, but quickly found a solution. Instead of searching for a solution for the Surf, I searched for "Android 9.0 tablet frp bypass" and found a video that i used to bypass the google verification:
Just go to youtube website and search for "Alcatel Tab 8068 FRP Bypass Without Pc Android 8.1 New Method 2020" by NR Solution. Because I'm a new user I am unable to post links directly, all I can do now is give directions
The only difference is where u should choose a keyboard layout another keyboard layout. Just remember to choose a US keyboard, then continue following the rest of the way. These additional information I'm giving you will all make sense to you when you get to that part.
I hope i was able to help someone.

This is an old thread but thought I'd let amylase wondering know that if you have another device with Bixby and you use it with the camera to translate it helps a lot.. once you get into the settings through the method on the video then just go to pinning and it will have you set a pin. Which also resets the pin to log on. Then bam! You're in like Flynn. Thanks for the help

How did you do it?
Hello guys!
Recently I bought Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. BUT there is no way that I can record calls. I'm from Bulgaria and it is some kind of regulation crap. I mean when I go to the options in the dialer app the option for call recordings is not present at all.
Most of my calls are for work with tons of instructions about this and that and I take them either from the car or somewhere without access to notes and pens etc. On my previous phone I found an app that enebled native call recording without rooting somehow... It was P30 Pro and the app in question I found here in XDA. However for my new phone I can't find anything... I tried all of the free and paid Google Play apps but they record only me and nothing from the person I'm talking with... Help me please!!!
Somewhere I read that I need to change the CSC code. Whatever it means... No idea how tho... Other thing I read was to root the phone. I've never done that as well... Basically I'm thinking of going to some randome phone repair shop and ask them to find me a solution whatever it takes... But first I decided to ask here.
If you have any idea what to do please include some instructions for dumb people like me with no experience in fiddling with phones etc..
Big thanks in advance!
I should probably tell you that I've tried this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...cord-phone-calls-from-the-phone-line.1441643/
And lots of things that are already written here as suggestions but... nothing....
I am trying out CallApp Contacts. So far it seems to work for 2 way recording. I am in the US and we do not have call recording here.
First of, do you know your phone model and CSC code? You should be able to spot it in Settings ->About phone -> Software information under Build number and Service provider software information.
Samsung only activates native call recording on the India firmware, so you will probably have to download that version of the firmware.
Do you still have said old phone (P30 Pro) & the download for the app on it?
Just asking cause you could send the app to your S22 from the other phone...

Following your steps I found this - oxm eux. That is it right?
About the firmware - do you know how I would do that? I mean how to download and install the indian version? Would that affect the warranty or anything important?

Yes I still have the app. I tried to install it but it returns some error. I'll attach a screenshot here.
In my previous phone Xiaomi Mi11 Ultra, TruePhone app work perfectly with call record's, but now with Samsung S22 Ultra and Android 12 don't work.
For me also call record's is very important, but i don't have the time and experience to change regions with Sammobile to make the call records work.
I am also from Bulgaria and have tried most of the available recording offers.
Her are some options
Non Root :
Change CSC. You needs paid tool, search SamKey and you will find lots result on XDA. This option is OK if you don't want to root but here your CSC will needs to change and network optimization won't be same as your own CSC
Root :
Modify CSC and enable call record, bit difficult if you are not pro witn modding
Use a ROM with Auto call record option (check development section)

Thanks for the suggestion! Maybe will try to do that... But can you give me some more info about what it means that network optimization won't be the same as my own CSC? Does that mean that I'm gonna lose connection here and there or some kind of fees?
Also how this change of the CSC code is going to affect my warranty?
csc change will void your warranty, and yes it is possible that your call, internet connection over mobile data may not be as good as it was/is on your current csc, but not a guarantee, you should check to find out if your prepared to sacrifice warranty for call recording, you could always reflash your original firmware

Well... The essentials of my work is talking on the phone and usually that includes tasks that I need to do with all of the details about them. We are working on communicating through e-mail but we are not there yet. The warranty is not that big of a concern but potential problems with the reception etc ... now that scares me...
Thanks for your time! I'll think about it... If you come up with something that is less risky please share!
My phone doesn't have call recording in the call app, but I just tried this one after some research, configured it, and made a call and it works
If this app ain't available in your country you could try an "index of" search or I can pull and upload the apk for you
