Hello everyone, I updated my lg g7ulm to android 10 using G710awm or G710n 10.0 kdz and lg up dual mode. Download lg USB drivers, Lgup dual mode and the kdz to your PC. Install the drivers then extract the lg up dual mode and double click on lgupd. Put your phone in download mode and connect it to your pc. Select the kdz file you downloaded and click on partition dl and select all. Once the flashing process is done the phone will reboot and it will be on android 10
Bought the same refurbrished phone that has no serial number with android 8 Oreo G710ulm11g and no OTA update anymore. I want to upgrade to android 10 like U. I can not find this KDG file. So plz can u give here the g710n KDZ file link ?
and One qustion... i know g710n is a korean region rom. if i install g710n 10.0 KDZ file is it lock my network for region {i am from Asia, Bangladesh} ?

I use sim, my network wasn't Locked. Since your serial number is not showing I will suggest you flash g7ulm 9.0 kdz before flashing the G10n kdz

al hamdulillah.. Success to update android 9 ulm with just select upgrade process then select again partition dl & select all to installed android 10 kor version.. no network issue found !

I think you can install other firmware apart from that of tmobile but I have not tried another firmware

yes everything working great in g710awm include side volume bar status.i got back those what i missed in the g710n korean firmware.

5.1.1 is available, but I haven't updated. I am not able to attain root and don't wish to make it harder with an update. Otherwise, the system runs stable at 5.0.2
I have 5.0.2 and don't notice many bugs if any. Battery life is excellent l, 2-3 days if not used much.
I have a fido lg Stylo h636 and want to update too but I've rooted with king root. What a mistake because now I can't update. Any fix for this?

there is a H636 KDZ files , so i believe i do will be safe if you give it a shot about trying either of the Root Methods and if you manage to get Root access someone from the Stylo scene can help and port TWRP for you guys.

KDZ are like Factory Device Restore File, having the KDZ is like a having a Doctor next to you when come to Un-brick/Full Restore/Unroot you device , I don't know which LP version this KDZ is but if this v10i is 5.1.1. and you are on 5.0.2 you'll be like Updating your device to the Latest android/software available on your carrier.

doesn't matter which version you have the KDZ method (which is not mine btw ) will still work but in this case i don't know if v10K is actually a better update than v10i.

i reostred my phone using the method u tolled me before , and i restored it to the version 10i. But the andriod version is still on 5.0.2 everytime i check for update it say there is no update. isnt there 5.1.1 update for this ?
if i want to restore my phone again can i install the 10j version on it ? mine is the Canadian version phone.

try using the v10k KDZ that's the latest software firmware for you device,
P.S. i don't know which LP version is v10k but i know is the latest release.

YES, using KDZ method will erase all/every trace of root/custom recovery and all that so you'll be able to get OTA's

NO! This is for Korean models only, if you install this you will lose network conectivity and other features...so, is better to wait a week to have the right one to your model...in my case is the H960A too.

LOL! you are gettin' the same reaction as me, no big deal update, some "little" changes but nothing really new...
The better thing we get is the UX and fresh design apps.
But maybe better performance and better battery management.
Second screen should see some improvements but again nothing new, maybe we get the same treatment as V20 have in this aspect. DPI change in the second screen to put more words are welcome...
Lets wait and see if some of our Korean friends (or the people who have the Korean bariants over here) say anything in the next days about pros and cons of this update.

I have a LG V10 F600L running on Android 5.1.1.
I bought this phone used and when I bought it, it was already rooted. I don't have any experience with this sort of thing and I don't really want my finances to be burdened with replacing a phone if I accidentally brick it.
I know its a lot to request but can anyone take the time tell me how exactly I should proceed? What steps should I take? what guides I should follow? etc.
I have literally never touched the technical aspects of a phone's OS and firmware, etc. in my life before. But I really do want to update and will follow all instructions and precautions.

your H961N is the Hong Kong version?? i see in the screenshot your software version GLOBAL so im cunfused.

Today I got software update bump to V10J with size of 980MB. Initial log says phone and system improvements.
But lets wait for full log
I installed this yesterday. Didn't notice any changes other than some third party music players now forced to down-sample content.
so should we upgrade it?

but is it working without problem? i had h990ds SEA but the KDZ from lg-firmwres.com only for india/philipina/indonesia. i lived in indonesia and SEA already included indonesia languange. can i safetly flash indonesia firmware on top of SEA?

Read the OP in the KDZ Writer thread. It's designed to only update parts of the system that need updating. Worst case if you're worried, do a full TWRP backup beforehand. That site has SEA KDZs. Might not be the very latest version, but they have them as it's what I originally flashed on my phone before using KDZ Writer to switch to TWN. If it works and you're without your language, just add it in settings
And be sure to thank @emdroidle for making things like this possible.

Flashed kdz using lg up. everything works great.
Updated... But on dual WhatsApp, it's not letting me use the same Google account for backup..
Tried Android P's gesture navigation, but lost the ability to change sims, which I could using the dedicated button earlier.
EMW version got OTA Update of Pie yesterday, everything works good.
no wifi problem via OTA update so I suggest update via OTA as of now
