I recently inherited a MOTO e5 play. The phone was factory reset and when I tried to enter google info I was prompted that javascript was not enabled. What can I do to enable js from this screen?

How do I reset the passcode on a nexus 5 without doing a reset? I've tried logging into the google acconut, and I can use the "find" option in the device manager to locate the device, but if i press the "lock" button and try to enter a new password, for a split second it says "We have sent a lock request to the device", but then it says "Since Google has verified that a screen lock is already set, the password you entered won't be needed." Wtf is going on? Is there another way to reset the password?
I have not tried this and I do not know if it's updated for Lollipop, so use with caution.
This thread discusses how this can be accomplished if you have custom recovery installed or if USB debugging is enabled. If neither of those are true, you'll have to do a factory reset, there are no other options.
Can't find a solution for this anywhere. I have an encrypted rooted moto g with unlocked bootloader and latest harp recovery. I installed an app that needed accessibility services which turned off unlock screen at bootup. I downloaded am closed app that was supposed to allow me to use accessibility services without turning off encryption at bootup but it didn't appear to do anything. I then went into security settings and re-entered unlock gesture and when asked if I wanted to be prompted for unlock at boot I said yes. Looked at accessibility settings and the permissions for the app were still turned on. I revolted the phone and now after moto logo boot screen, without asking me for a password, it goes straight to a screen saying that my password is correct but that decryption failed and to please factory reset phone. However I can boot into harp recovery and enter my unlock gesture and it works fine. So how can I turn off accessibility services for that app or otherwise fix this problem through recovery or adb? Please help.
I could use a hand bypassing Googles reset setup. I had to reset the device using the recovery menu.
When the device was initially setup, there was no google account used. But on master reset, its asking for the G account previously synced. I wiped the cache in recovery but it didnt work
Hi,
I've beent trying to install the google services/apps etc on my friends p40 pro phone, and after carrying out a factory reset earlier today I can't get past the Huawei ID section. It skips the page where I enter the login details and just instantly opens a screen saying "Unable to connect to server. Touch screen to retry" I've tried factory resetting it and clearing the cache but can't get past this. Does anyone have any ideas please. Thanks in advance.
Same problem
Hi,
The same thing has happened to me, I factory reset the phone using the power button and volume up button, and now when I try to set the phone up, it runs smoothly until I have to enter the Huawei ID but, I cant even see the Huawei ID page, it just states "Unable to connect to server. Touch screen to retry". Before factory resetting it I was unable to log in to my Huawei ID to disable the 'find my phone' hence why I had to use the button method. I've tried erecovery but nothing is working. Any suggests?

Hi,
I have the same problem, but with the Honor 9x model. Still the same after resetting the settings. Tried flashing via erecovery, but it gives an error.
Have you found a solution?
Hello,
My friend gave me a Samsung SM-A515F that he bought because he wanted to do a factory reset and could'nt do it because the option was disabled in the settings. The first thing I did is going into recovery mode but there is'nt any option to wipe data. Clicking "reboot to bootloader" option just make a system reboot so I can't go with fastboot. Viewing several howtos I tried to go into Download mode but I did'nt manage to so I assume that it's also broken. And finally, adb show device status as "unauthorized" when using it in recovery so I can't hard reset from there.
Any ideas or suggests would be really helpful,
Thanks a lot
Maybe its a Samsung Knox feature that is activated.
