I got my Poco 3X phone yesterday and got everything setup. I did not setup any passwords to start the phone. When I turned the phone on this morning, it asked for a password. I can't get past this. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

miui 12.5.4
Can you remember your battery percentage when you left? It could be the buggy PMIC of Poco X3 Pro which has bricked some devices.
I too am on 12.5.4 firmware and will soon downgrade to 12.0.4
Be prepared to go to the service centre will the invoice, hopefully they will repair or replace it for free...

The Same thing happened to me in Stock MIUI . It is the latest version . It died even though the battery was around 45 percent . All i did was turn off airplane mode after waking up in the morning and the phone died .
This is happened to me week ago, i went all forums the root cause seems MIUI latest updates (say in my case MIUI 12.5.5), thing is we have no fastboot mode access (simply black screen). However i could see that my pc detects phone in "hs-usb qdloader 9008" still not able to flash the firmware. Many folks shouting this that motherboard faults(happens in custom rom)
Now i have given it to MI service center, they clearly stated many devices coming with similar issue and all are motherboard faults. Waiting for the Motherboard replacement(no stock available as of now center mentioned)/ Device replacement. Daily driver gone
Guys check this thread out
Calibration of the PMIC (Vayu/Bhima/Surya) via fastboot.
⚠️HONESTLY READ THIS WARNING ONCE! - CALIBRATION OF THE IC, WOULD NEITHER RESULT IN A HARD BRICK/PREVENT BRICK. AS TO BE CLEAR WITH THIS *HOW TO THREAD*, IS ONLY MENT FOR PEOPLE HAVING PARTIALLY BUGGY PMIC, FACING AFOREMENTIONED ISSUES, HAVING...

Is this purely isolated to the Indian variant? I bought my father a global variant and now I am worried his phone will brick out of nowhere.

Same has happened to me in UK, dead and unresponsive after 6 weeks little use. Stock MIUI recently updated, suspect phone wakes from power off (alarms?) and battery controller allows battery to die, trying to get RMA.
Same thing happened to me. It has ~60% charge. I laid it on the table after checking the time. When I picked it up again it is off. It won't turn on, won't respond to Power button and Power + Volume Down. My warranty expired but my issue is not with warranty, but my data.

Try to "restart" it with the volume keys up and power on connected to the PC, if you see that the computer recognizes it as QH load 8009 or similar, it is a hardware failure, these X3s have come out with a SoC solder failure
I lost mine today. After two hangs and reboots, I took a picture and it died. It had more than 90% of battery
Is there a way to know if it I had the indian or any other variant?
Is there a way to fix it?

I have a phone poco x3 pro that stopped working after I left it for 5 minutes and came back and it didn t work with me and I tried to press the power button and the volume down button and it didn t work and my air phone is on MIUI 13.0.4 update
Plese help me?
Yesterday, 10 minutes before a major interview, my rog phone 5S locked up while reading a PDF. It froze for 5 min before rebooting itself. It responded to no input from me at all, not even attempts to get to the bootloader. When it started back up, nothing worked without crashing. I powered it off and switched to my old Pixel 4 XL to do the interview, which worked out fine. I then went back to my 5S and tried to get it working. At first it was fine and I could make and receive calls, but I could only receive texts. I couldn't send them. I left it be for a while longer and then it started rebooting on its own at random. At some point in this, texting started working again and it was fine for a few hours till I went to sleep. However, during the night it started rebooting at random, constantly waking me up. I turned it off, but that didn't stop it. It would turn itself on and reboot. I got next to no sleep till I buried it in my dresser and clothes. I did a reset last night, before going to bed, and I thought that had fixed it, but clearly it didn't do anything except cause me a **** load of unnecessary work.
I went to file for an RMA just now. I provided the serial and ASUS said they won't honor it because it's an international model and has to be returned to the country it was bought in. I have no idea where it's from. I assume China and I can't read Chinese to do any of that, much less know where I'd even go to start that process. It's an expensive phone and I'm without a job right now. I don't know what to do.
I've had nothing but problems with this damned phone since day 1 and I'm sick of it. It's awful. The ROG Phone 3, which I also have, is only slightly less problematic. At least it never did this. I only have it for the gaming controller at this point and I'm gonna get a new phone once a phone comes out with the new Immortalis GPU.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to pot on the ROG Phone 5 subreddit, but they are restricted and IDK how long it'll take to get approved. The last restricted subreddit I applied to took 5 months.
Hello guys,
My Poco X4 PRO is stuck at 15% after rebooting by itself and showing 1% at first. The charge does not go up when I plug in the charger nor decreases when it's unplugged. Any help please?
Oh and if switched off it won't turn back on until you plug in the charger.
I'm truly at a loss here, already tried safe mode and factory reset. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

maybe a new battery, if you kept using the 67w charger it kills the battery faster. But this phone came out this year next to mine, the note 11 pro 5g, even using the 67w charger is too fast to kill it this soon.
maybe you got the phone wet or dropped it and something messed with the battery.
I suggest trying a new battery, if that doesn't work then it's the motherboard, and you're f'd.
But now i suggest you back up all important stuff asap before the phone can turn on anymore.
(Tangent, not related to solving the battery)
I got my poco x3 nfc wet (My mom got it wet, i gave it to her after i upgraded to the note 11pro 5g couple months ago)
Did the exact same thing as yours, but mine was stuck at 50, and charging wont make it go up just down. So i backup her stuff, and switched it to her new phone cause i need the old phone to be on to receive a text to confirm the new phone transfer.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer. I read on the forum that this bug is pretty common and that you need to reconnect the battery to the motherboard. My phone has dropped to 1% now which is weird. I'll wait for it to die completely and try to calibrate the battery and see.
Good day lovely people. I think it's not new around the forum to read about problems like this, but here I go:
Since last March my brother's poco x3 pro started to turn off randomly. It has happened a few times now and as scary as it is, it comes back to life by connecting it to the wall for some minutes and then powering it on by holding the power button for a while.
Last time it happened he left the phone unattended, the battery was at 58 and when he took it it was out and hot. When it came back the battery just dropped a few numbers.
Actually I gave him the x3 pro as a gift a year ago so I don't have all the details right now, but that's what I can tell and it's a 8/256gb model.
Should we be worried? Is there something that can be done? Or the phone is dying?
PD: My brother lives in a hot weather city do could be

If doubt, prepare for it to die out at anytime.
Get a backup phone, backup data and apps.
Europe got 2 year warranty, so if you're there, claim for warranty.

It happens to a lot of people due to cheap components Xiaomi used...PMIC to be specific.. it's phone's charging component.. although there's high chance of phone dying anyway..you might want to not use fast charging...do regular charging..and dont charge it frequently and never let it get hot
