Join Group TG Redmi9A_Official

Hi, I have a friend who comes around 9am this morning, I have already tested all the methods to try to root this model redmi 9a dandelion but there is nothing to do, you need a TWRP no choice, I want to test the holds if you have one. But I can test that when my friend is there, he is the one who has redmi 9a and I confirm I have unlocked his bootloader

I have a redmi 9a but I need a twrp for it. I can test twrp for redmi 9a

Hi i'm dev and i got redmi 9a today but i'm waiting for bootloader.
I'm gonna make one and you can test it.

adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot recovery.img (Here we replace "flash" with "boot" so in case recovery does not work, we don't have it flashed in system)

magisk don't work because of encryption. Magisk installed right under twrp but it doesnt work. I also formatted the data it boots but because of something it reboots even though it writes well to unencrypted data. Maybe rom miui does not accept. Need maybe rom other
Just flash vbmeta
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot and hold volup
wait some
in last version works better with graphic but now need correct fstab to mount correctely partition

Root OOS 5.1.9 patched boot.img

Hi people,
Here can you you get the patched boot.img for 5.1.9 so that you can fastboot from the boot.img and then root your device in cmd.
Patched and normal boot.img can be downloaded from the attachments
After the update you need to boot your phone into bootloader then then type fastboot boot patched_boot.img and when it the phone boots then install magisk manager on the phone and then press install and then directly (recommend) option.
update download links: https://www74.zippyshare.com/v/dxGCgGju/file.html

Great , works perfectly. Thank you
thanks buddy really appreciate the effort just updated.
Gonna test the camera tomorrow when it's daylight haha
Just patched with your file, worked like a charm! Thanks a lot for the effort!!!
No problem people and all you have to do is use a bin extractor to get all the files from the update and then let magisk patch the boot.img so that you get a nice patched fastboot ?

sry but, what's the advantage?
need unlocked bootloader, yes?
Can you install this from twrp? Reason I ask is because I like to restore the stock boot image before installing a custom kernel, and this would save a step for me.
Thanks for posting this. This got me past accidentally flashing twrp directly to the boot partition after taking the latest OTA.

Do what he said:
1)Boot with twrp blu_spark.img via Bootloader.
2)If you want to use blu_spark twrp file then you flash blu_spark.img via recovery mode
For me:
I did a bit different from nightfury04, I did boot into the blu_spark twrp but I flash the Official twrp from Teamwin and it worked fine for me.
To root:
After flashed the recovery TWRP image I flashed Magisk 7.12, worked like a charm.

You might have flashed bluespark TWRP from stable version of TWRP right? @mighty's problem is that he isn't having any TWRP to flash bluespark from.
This is how you should do it...
Fastboot the img file
Let it boot to twrp
Flash twrp ZIP.... People are doing this wrong, they try to flash the img, it will cause errors.
Worked 100% for me.. Didn't have any twrp at all before, was on latest beta,
Fastboot img
Boot twrp
Flash twrp zip
Reboot to twrp
Flash rom
Flash twrp
Reboot to twrp
Flash magisk 17.2
Boot system
If you use the blu_spark twrp and use the latest magisk 17.1 you are good to go.
I am passing safety net and have working root
I don't get how you guys do it. For me it just ends up in bootloop

Here is what works for me on my OnePlus 6 Android 9 Pie
1. Download TWRP from @nightfury04 at Post 12
Flash it just as flashing the official TWRP for OnePlus 6
2. Magisk 17.2 Latest Beta with Latest Magisk Manager
Note: When I first used Magisk 17.1 stable, WiFi and SIM cards did not work.
I'm running the latest Blu spark twrp and tried to flash magisk 17.1 several times, but it just ends up in a bootloop everytime.
any ideas what might cause this?

That tutorial is fake. As far as i know this device has no working fastboot/bootloader mode. With the device connected : adb reboot bootloader / fastboot the device just restarts and charging.
And reboot bootloader from within the recovery it just turns off.
So basically every tut. that even mentions fastboot (regarding the blackview s8) is fake.. click bait, copy paste lies.
It has verified boot (avb 1.0 according to magisk) and dm-verity. So i cant even flash the patched boot.img.
Im stuck. Any thoughts?
Btw. Did you came across or do you know a way to get the device into bootloader / fastboot mode?

Hey, i own Blackview A60 Pro and the answer is quietly no, Blackview does not make the device trees public for their devices.
Sure a developer could make these but their devices are not popular enough.
On my A60 Pro I run AOSP GSI (Generic System Images) tremble from phhusson with magisk root.
There are also unofficial LinageOS GSI Images available maybe you could try these.

Have you tried to disconnect the cable after you hit the command "adb reboot bootloader"?
You can easily disable verified boot with "fastboot --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img" when you can acces fastboot....

Hi, I have a Blackview A80 Pro, and I unlocked the bootlader but I can't install TWRP, can you help me?

Can't install any twrp on Redmi Note 7 pro

I've been trying to set up twrp all day, but after almost every attempt, I gave up. If i put official and last twrp, the phone goes to bootloop and has to be flashed through MiFlash global ROM, after some custom twrp or Peter's twrp, nothing happens, if i try to enter recovery mode after some old twrp's, the phone automatically goes to bootloop.
What am I doing wrong, friends? Plz help.

U flash ur recovery.img in fastboot, right.
Then don't reboot ur phone. Hold in fastboot the volume+ and power still to reboot and maybe ur phone go in ur twrp recovery

As i said before, i did it many times. There's happen or bootloop, come this logo funny bunny, or sometime it load to factory recovery.
I suppose, maybe something bad with adb drivers? Coz i didn't update it since i have RN5... But in console seems everything is ok, the device is connected and see.
U test the boot method?

And again not one time
I don't really understand asking you not to rebooting the device until I flash twrp. My steps: If I'm flashing through MiFlash, then the device automatically reboots, I tried to enter fastboot mode at the moment of reboot, and yeah I entered and flashed recovery(at least seems like that), but then when the device rebooted manually , again I see that there is not a custom recovery, maybe I missed something and your devices do not do automatic reboot during the flashing, or your instructions are wrong. Sorry man.

Before I flash it I wanted to ask if you notice any performance difference between 11g (oreo) and 21d. Is it just as fast?

I Cross-Flash G710ULM20 GFI
Performance increases
I cross-flashed G710pm to G710ulm20e USA. Thanks OP and lge.fun
I only have to ask if you should let magisk manager download and install the updated zip (20.1). I decided not to because it may break the rooted boot image.

Thanks. I don't think I need fastboot yet. I am not sure how to erase the LAF partition.

To zero it out use adb shell or the termrnial app then su
The do:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/laf_a
To get into download mode:
Theres two ways#
1. Get into fastboot mode and set current slot to b
Code:
fastboot --set-active=b
then reboot and hold the up button while its connectrc to your pc and you should be able to get into download mode
2. Boot into twrp, then tap reboot in the menu and on the bottom it should say slot a or b and select b. Then reboot. Dont worry about not being able to mount.

Is that for installing a custom rom?
Then do you need to do this?
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta_a vbmeta_a.img

First don't call a tutorial trash cause you didn't do it properly and you didn't even detail the problem properly. . Second, make sure you're still on 11g firmware or go back to 11g firmware via download mode of you're not and then flash the abl partition from the unlocked bootloader tutorial if you havent used that abl. Then fastboot flash rooted 11g boot_a and boot_b file then reboot to firmware and make sure it boots all the way up and restart your PC then try going into download mode again if it works go into fastboot flash the 21ulmd booted rooted image both a and b then immediately restart to download mod
I'm on g710ulm11g and I'm rooted, updated the magisk to 20.1, now do I have to boot to fastboot and boot the twrp20ulmrooted img to boot_a and boot_b and then boot to download mode?

Noo. Fastboot flash 21ulmrooted to both a and b then reboot to download mode.
question: I am rooted with magisk and on ULM21d. I have extracted the image file and renamed it "twrp21ulmdroot.img" and put this file on my internal storage /sdcard. When I run the command dd if=/sdcard/twrp21ulmdroot.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/boot_a in adb shell (as root #) it keeps giving me a response of dd: /sdcard/twrp21ulmdroot.img: No such file or directory. The file is actually there. Any ideas?

Are you sure you didn't name it twrp21ulmd.img.img? Or reboot the device.. Make sure it's where the Download, pictures etc.. folders are.

When I'm try to boot the twrp20ulmrooted to boot a and boot b, bcoz I want to root on g710ulm20e, then in command it's show up: cannot boot a boot.img *and* ramdisk, so what exactly command I have to use in adb and fastboot?

sir, your tutorial worked perfectly for me- I now for the first time since owning this phone have a custom recovery. Thank you for your help :good:
Edit: my problem earlier was that the image file was not installing to my internal storage in the right place for whatever reason... /sdcard was not available when searching my int storage. So I dropped the file into 'Download', then used Advanced tools pro file manager to grab it and paste it into the parent directory. At that point the shell commands worked
