Is there a easy way without opening up Bluetooth connections to disconnect my Bluetooth headset ?
The problem is I maybe playing a game and listening to audio from the game and for some reason the headset kicks in. "The On/Off switch of my Bluetooth handset is not great"
I lose my Audio my phone, then I got to open the Bluetooth connections and disconnect the headset.
Sometimes I want the device to ignore Bluetooth accessories and just use the internal speaker; my old OnePlus this was easy but not so much with the Pixel 4a.
Got to be so annoying I am thinking about buying a new headset.

I've search for over two hours but it seems ive learned alot but i still cant find my problem the problem is that every time i connect to my car kit windows media starts working but then after i turn off my car and then turn it back on the music comes out of phone. So how can i make it play again on my stereo without reconnecting. i have elite rc3 rom and it has a2dp included.
I don't have the same exact problem you do, but I have a stereo bluetooth headset (Jabra BT8010 [awesome headset btw]) and if you don't wait for your bt to connect to your phone first before you fire up WMP OR connect while WMP is playing, it will freak out and do wierd stuff. For me it would either ignore my connection and play out the phone's speaker or play in my headset in mono mode in horrifyingly bad quality.
I hope that helps
Moderator: Please move to Eris general discussion. Thank you.
I have done two factory resets to attempt to solve this with no luck.
I have two BT headsets and my car hands free paired with my Eris. My headsets seem to drop the connection to the phone for no apparent reason. Also, before the upgrade, if I walked out of range of my phone, it would reconnect automatically when I got back in range. This no longer happens.
Also, when I get in my car with my headset connected to my phone, it disconnects the headset and connects the car's hands free system. I want the headset to stay connected in that circumstance. Before the upgrade my headset would stay connected.
Also, when listening to audio (music) on one of my BT headsets, I connect to the aux jack in my car, the BT audio is supposed to disconnect, but that doesn't happen. The audio continues to play through the headset and nothing comes from the aux on the car.
Anyone got any ideas on how to solve these issues?
Get a new phone.
Let me clarify - get a non-Sense phone.
HTC neutered BT in Eclair Sense because it was causing "compatibility issues" or some BS like that with Sense. We discovered this when owners of the Incredible started to complain about it.
It's not a problem, it's a feature!!
Seriously, though, if you root your phone and install an AOSP ROM (like CELB or KaosFroyo) your BT will work exactly right again. That's what worked for me anyway.
The feature comment was funny and right on. Thanks for your help.
One other the thought. The car BT uses the handsfree profile. The Plantronics Pro headset I use is capable of both the headset profile and the handsfree profile. However, when it pairs with the Eris you don't have a choice to use handsfree profile so it pairs under headset profile. I think handsfree profile has priority on the Eris. If I could figure that out, I probably would be better off.
I want to use Spype on my G Tablet - bought myself a bluetooth headset. I can connect no problem (can even toggle it on and off with the home screen button application) it beeps indicating the connection.
But when I do calls I doesn't use the mic and speaker of the headset. Matter of fact it seems like it messed up with my audio setting because my built-in speakers don't seem to work anymore.
Any thoughts?
Sometimes I have the same issue. If you want speakers back, try disconnecting from the Bluetooth device. If that doesn't fix it, just reboot. I just posted another comment about the impossibility to use a bluetooth headset, not just for output, but for audio input also. I guess this is because there's no HSP or HFP bluetooth profiles implemented on the g tablet, just a2dp, which is why it just can stream audio to an output device, like a bluetooth stereo headset or car audio. BTW, I discovered this when trying to achieve exactly what you tried to do, making calls using Skype.
Do you know of any application that manages your bluetooth connections?
Here's what I'm talking about, I have bluetooth headphones, several speakers and my car that all are connected to my phone and I'm having several small issues.
- As soon as I turn on bluetooth it tries to automatically tries to connect to these certain speakers, I don't want that and don't know how to stop it.
- If I'm in my car, my phone connected to my car for calls and I'm listening to music through the headphone jack but it will automatically connect to a set of bluetooth speakers in my home when get home and pull into the driveway. So music will play through those speakers instead of my headphone jack. I obviously don't want that either.
-Titanium Backup never restores my bluetooth connection either so if there is an application that can save those too that would be helpful.
I have the gear s3 connected to my oneplus 3t by BT only.
Whenever i go into my car (have a BT speaker), both watch and car speaker appear as connected.
However, "phone audio" is always picked by the watch and not by the car speaker.
The best way i found to switch BT audio back to the car is doing it manually from the BT menu which is not a realistic solution.
Is there anyway to "prioritize" BT phone audio in a way that when i get into my car the speaker will automatically be chosen?
It has been discussed before in this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3650826
