Hello, someone with similar problems with the flip on fingerprint?
This is the second one I get but its the same thing, sometimes won't recognize my finger and when I try again quickly get ghost touch on fingerprint when lift my finger away the fingerprint, I need to wait a couple of seconds and try again if get luck recognize my finger if not the same results before.
If the first try won't recognize my finger need to wait and try again, it's not all the time but when does it's frustrating and make more sense put the pin.
I don't like face unlock so need to face the issue.
If someone have a fix for that I appreciate, I try register my finger two times hoping to issue dissapear or at least lower errors rate but doesn't fix nothing.
I'm sorry you're having issues, but my fingerprint scanner works flawlessly. No problems at all.

One of the best things in my XZ is the quick response to unlock the screen using the fingerprint.. but this is when it works
Sometimes, it refuses to work .. keeps saying that it cannot recognize my finger print, untill I lock the screen and unlock it again it works... or I just reach the maximum number of trials and use the 2nd way of access like the pattern or the passcode.
do you experience the same?

Sometimes when my fingers are sweating / water or other things ( dirt, oil,) on them are not recognize, but i have set 5 fingers so if 1 not seeing, other yes.
Try to delete all reader fingers and put again very well. ( move the finger up an down, side way) and set all 5 off them.
I have a problem with the fingerprint scanner, when i register my fingerprints it takes alot of time to complete the register process. I get a lot of partial fingerprint detected errors or it is isn't recognized at all. I can complete the sequence, but it take a lot of tries. Whenever I try to unlock the phone, most of the time it wil unlock, but sometimes it won't detect my fingerprint. Sometimes I will get the error, that my fingerprint isn't recognized even when I am not touching the fingerprint scanner. Does anyone else has this same problem?

It really looks like a hardware problem with your fingerprint scanner... You should use your warranty to fix it or change it for a new one.
So I'm very frustrated with the fingerprint scanner, it's having strange behavior and it's not detecting my finger all the time and also some times without touching it it says that the finger can't be recognized and try clean the sensor. 90% of its time it's working properly without problems. Anybody else having the same problem or anything else or it's just me?

I have this problem as well when phone is locked with screen off. Sometimes I feel my finger is not fully touching the sensor but I am not sure. It is hard to reproduce the failure and it doesn't give a vibration of failed reading.
Also, I'm having the sensor to be recognized when i touch it, not when i press it and there are moments when nothing happens, like I'm not touching it although my finger is on the sensor and the only way to make it work is to wake the screen

I don't think so, because it says to clean the fingerprint sensor but the sensor it's cleaned, if it was that feature it should say another message
Anyone elses finger print scanner sometimes says not recognised and you have to try multiple times?

Yes.. if fingers were a little wet, if you or the phone (sitting, laying, car,... ) are in a different position than when registering the prints.. some fingers work better, some don.t..
Rarely, after a reboot, with a finger that I do not use normally. However I also believe it has to do with the way you are holding your finger over the reader...if it is off quite a bit from the way it was registered. Other than the rare occasion mine works probably 99% of the time without issue.... and it's fast!
Try redoing all your scans. And turning off the animation. Main thing is turning off animation has really helped me and many others I've talked with
I am facing this super weird issue with my one plus Nord. it seems like my screen is not working as any of the swipes/touch etc or anything is not registered. but I am able to take screenshots with 3 finger gestures, I am able to unlock the phone with fingerprint with fp scanner, and once I'm unlocked I can only perform the recent tab open gesture(swipe from bottom)...
except for these 3 actions, nothing else works.
And the most astonishing thing is the power button is also working as a 1-second press. meaning I am able to lock/unlock the screen, but I am not able to force restart the device, that's right; if I try to click the button for 10-20 seconds, the screen just gets locked/unlocked as if I pressed it just for 1 second.
This is super random and I have no clue how to fix this issue, as I am not even able to restart/reset my device.
I am just now stuck waiting for the phone to get discharged and then I can try resetting by recovery. anyone has any solution or has anyone faced this after the recent nord update?
