I know there are threads regarding how to remove Bloatware and the various apps ...... but this is a specific question to ask if people really find it helpful to remove stuff and why ?? And are there any downsides?
Preface this with in the day of custom ROMs often the developer had “done the work for us” when streamlining stuff.
I just don’t want to go the route of removing or disabling stuff if people are really finding it helpful
Thanks
I've never ever done it. Never found the need. Battery life and performance has never been an issue for me. And I've owned the S7E, S8+, S9+, S10+, S10 5G, S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra 5G.
Depending on what you remove, it can/will disable some useful features. I don't see the point removing anything on an expensive flagship when there's no need, especially when there's little to no gain.
Personally, i remove all the bloatware with revo uninstaller. Bloatware are simply garbage and useless, it's make your smartphone slow. You can't uninstall all bloatwares if not your phone crashes.

Yep, all Exynos here in Australia. Never had any issues with them. A lot of the Exynos hae is just people jumping on the bandwagon.
Sure it performs worse than SD on benchmarks etc, but who buys a phone to run benchmarks? I don't care if the SD runs a little better than mine. As long as mien does what I need it to do with enough performance, I have no problem with that. And it works perfectly fine, no battery issues,no heat issues. I love mine

Thanks for the advice — I have to admit that I loved custom ROMs in the past that had quite a bit of stuff removed but when it was all said and done it didn’t really increase performance , maybe just appearance ... in the “stock” android direction. I’m sure there is a lot of stuff that I might choose to remove but when it was said and done not really know how it could effect other things —- Thanks for your experience

Yea, I used to be the same, in the past with custom ROMs. I used to make my own custom ROMs for pre-Android Windows Mobile devices. Then in Android I'd like ROMs with a lot of stuff removed. But later decided I preferred stock, or custom with not as much removed, as there was no difference. It was just more of a placebo. I prefer to have everything in the phone working as it was designed.
Sure, I uninstall some preinstalled software such as Spotify, but certainly nothing more than that. No debloating.
i do and you know why i do? because i can. this aint no damn iphone where it's on lockdown. simple as that

This could be a fair point. I've never used a US phone, and US carriers may well put more crap in their devices. But from the debloat lists I've seen on the forum, a lot of thigns that get removed aren't bloat, they're actual services, both Android and Samsung.
So sure, I would agree to removing all the carrier specific crap, but I wouldn't remove anything more. That's just me though

So Package Disabler Pro (Samsung) works? Will buy if so. Just ordered mine, waiting for it to get shipped.
I would suggest using CCSWE instead. Unlike PDP it doesn't asks for another purchase when changing or restoring phones. In addition, there seems to be issues with it on Android 10. Backup export/import is not working

I used it on the Note 10+ but 4-5 months ago it stopped working and wasn't working in August when I got the Note 20 Ultra, something about the author not keeping his Knox license current. Have the issue been fixed? I have it and Package Disabler pro but have switched to PD Pro because of his issues. I have had not issues with backup, export, import or having to buy anything else when restoring phone on PD Pro.

I use PD MDM because with all the other Playstore blockers Sammy* ended up leaning on them to remove blocking for AT&T Software Updates.
I block apk this like religion.
PD MDM is not on Playstore anymore so the rules have changed in their favor.
Zero issues with it on the 10+ running on Pie. License transferred automatically after last 2 reloads.
*remember AT&T and Samsung are partnered...

I'm debating between the two. I have a change to get one soon but I'm leaning on keeping the S7e since the U firmware runs well. I also think the S7e looks way better than the XL. It also means giving up SPay, Qi, IP68, compact body,... But Android 7.0 with the new goodies... hmmmm
Sent from my SM-G935U using Tapatalk
Samsung Pay, and the sleek look of the S7edge are the only things that keep me on.
I've never liked the camera UI of vanilla android.... also water resistant, sd card support & big ass battery
wait for the Galaxy S8 edge it will have all the upgraded specs and way more.
to get rid of touchwiz..... in a heartbeat
I'll put an end to this. The S7 Edge has the following advantages over the Pixel XL:
Bigger battery
Edge shortcuts
Waterproof
Better always on display
SD card
Wireless charging
Floating window
Screen gets brighter in daylight and darker at night
Scroll capture
Samsung widgets, magazine, weather, calendar..
Can still use JOD
Can use T-Mobile insurance
Samsung backup
Samsung pay
Better price
Dimensions are way better
As you can see the choice is a no-brainer. Shouldn't even require any thought actually. The only thing the Pixel has is android 7.1 and some software tricks for the camera. 7.1 doesn't do much (I have it on my Nexus) and the photos look better in all lighting conditions on the S7e, even though the Pixel has really great stabilization and is faster at snapping the photo.

WTF are you even doing on XDA? Are you a shill for closed systems and locked bootloaders? If you are that naive about the benefits of real root then you really should do some homework.
Custom roms
debloating
Overclocking
Expanded app features
Root explorer and the like (and if you say samsungs file manger is good enough I'll beat you with a sack of doorknobs)
Titanium backup
X touchwiz
Feature tweaking and customization
Busybox
Actual Privacy control
Actual control to do what you want with your property
And more, not to mention each of those has a bunch of reasons all their own.
Android and samsung pay and any other mobile pay option are jokes. I have credit cards that also are tap and pay and have been for many years. You feel free to explain why something available in cards already is worth throwing all that away just to put it on a phone that is unless all youre doing is trolling.

Ad blocking is not very effective without root? I don't see a single ad, don't have root. Seems pretty effective to me.
I have 180 apps frozen on my phone right now. What is this "kinda" you speak of?
XDA was created when phones NEEDED to be rooted and tweaked just to make them enjoyable. The OEMs are eliminating the need for root one item at a time and eventually it will be totally unnecessary. Believe it or don't but that's reality and it will hit you in the face like a ton of bricks in the next year or two.
Every single thing that you mentioned can be done without root or is unnecessary.
If you have to have those features you mentioned, excellent then go ahead and choose a phone that can be rooted, and root your heart out so you can change the color of your status bar LOL
I personally prefer not to give up things such as Samsung pay. If you cant wrap your head around why Samsung pay is popular and useful then there is nothing I can say to educate you. Maybe you don't even know what mst is? Anyway have fun with whatever it is that you do.

As far as you rationale on xda and rooting, OEMs are not eliminating the need for root, otherwise most people wouldnt be on here. And who are you to say what is needed to make other's phones more enjoyable? The fact that people want root is indicative of their need to make modifications to make their phone enjoyable to them. And also is that why the international versions have unlocked bootloaders? To educate you, OEMS lock bootloaders at the request of carriers. Locked bootloaders have been available to be instituted for many years, and seeing as US carriers are starting to utilize them the demand for unlocked phones are increasing.

Yes, I like many others, will keep trying to get real root because of OUR need to make our devices more enjoyable.
Oh and btw I forgot to mention Xposed by itself, does absolutely nothing, its a framework for root apps to make the modifications and in fact most apps are quite stable on real root. Real root enables the users to fix and streamline the performance of their devices not just customize. Like disabling DVFS, odex/deodex, custom kernels, these are not for aesthetic purposes but functional. To make up for problems like this
http://bgr.com/2016/03/25/galaxy-s7-performance-test-us-vs-global-pt-2/

Look buddy take a hike. No one cares. Go to a forum for a phone that has "proper root" and tell them about how much you love root and all the cool things you can do with it.
The fact of the matter is, like I've stated before, almost everything can be accomplished without root. I don't need you to believe this for it to be fact.
Go buy the inferior pixel so you can load a custom rom that allows you to have a floating side bar or buggy app addons and then wait for the dev to fix them all.
Either way just go away. This isn't a root thread, it's about the s7e vs the pixel and I've already blown that argument out of the water.

LOL awwwww did I make the troll mad? "the fact of the matter is" I respond with structured facts and refrences, you refuse to refute my points with anything other than a tantrum and unfounded opinions. YOU were the one that tried to act like everything you said was fact with no proof, You began this debate and now that its plain to see that you have no real ground to stand on, you are gonna knock the pieces off the board. And apparently people care, you may not but others do. So your "No one cares" is yet another unfounded opinion that has no basis in truth. And as far as going to a forum where people care about root, I did, that's what XDA is, all of it! Its XDA DEVELOPERS! Maybe you should find a new site to spout your locked bootloader/anti root vitrol and where you can refuse to act like a reasonable adult. LMFAO.
All my ads are blocked.
I can freeze every single process on my phone.
You don't know how mst works.
FAIL.
Im eating popcorn while reading all this.
I would not trade the GS7E for a pixel or any other Google branded phone. Had bad experiences with prior Nexus phones. To put it simply, the plusses of this phone easily outweigh the plusses of the pixel, which really is only that it has stock Android and quick updates. I couldn't care less about root, as another poster stated, ad blocking and freezing apps can be done without. Never had good experiences with xposed. And lastly, if you want the UI to look stock, Samsung good lock has you covered. Overall, this phone doesn't lag, doesn't crash, has excellent battery life, water resistance, and reasonably quick updates. Life is too short to deal with rooting and other nonsense. I want a phone that works with minimal input from me, and this gives me that.

This is literally all I saw...the failure to realise what MST is and/or how it works. NFC is kind of weak...android pay uses it some cards have it the samsung gear s2 watch uses it for sam pay....but mst...mst since nobody wanted to educate the other guy...creates an electromagnetic field of sorts that mimics the magnetic frequency resonance whatever what have you of said card (well actually a secondary card number to protect yours) to emulate a card swipe...works places NOTHING else does..android pay apple pay paypal none of them work because you are in the country somewhere at some hillbilly gasstation that has only a card reader...sam pay will save you. It should even work with square pay readers ?. I will say though...v4a Viper4Android...is VERY useful especially if you are an audiophile. No other app compares...period...coming from someone with an s7e that isnt rooter because i use sam pay. And i must say yea i miss the abilities of a rooted phone...but ive been fine since march without. Also heard tmobile was checking to see if devices were rooted now on insurance....i already cracked my screen once(sparks shooting across the room actually did it)...if thats true i would have been a $$ out if rooted...oh and to answer your question...not in a million years...tmobiles bill credit isnt even enticing enough coupled with the note7 fiasco. Ill be getting the 5.5 s8 or s8e however they will market the moniker as soon as it drops
I didn't want to explain mst to the guy because I was hoping he would continue to live his life believing that mst is just nfc lol
I guess I just don't see what is so great about viper. An equalizer is very important to me but that is built into the apps these days. All the other functions of viper are unimportant to me. I'm not an audiophile so I'm probably missing it, but adding an echo or virtual surround to my music is not important. And I've had bugs and drain with viper before (only on certain devices)
FIRST: This is my own opinion. You may disagree with it!
My Reasons:
I have Huawei P9. Looking at their Update policy I am not happy with it. P8 is not going to get a Nougat update which is SHAME! Not even 2 years of OS support... What a joke. This means My P9 most likely will not updated to a newer version after Nougat... Which means I will never again pay so much money for something that won't get at least 2 new OS updates (whole version).
Next: Nougat update. It's a complete JOKE. What's new? Split screen, App drawer (lol what innovation here!), couple redesign small things... Take a look at Samsung. They are actually adding new stuff... New apps that are useful: Password manager which makes a bigger use of the fingerprint scanner. Note app. New other stuff. And to be honest their Skin looks so much better. Colors are better. Did you see the ugly Black and Dark Blue colors on the Quick toggles on Huawei Nougat? Damn the guy who came with this idea should be fired as soon as possible! No Double tap to wake up, no raise to wake up... But hey they have Knuckle gestures.. Never used them? What a sick person will knock on his phone.. So dumb... Everytime I want to check my screen I have to look for the fingerprint or power button, chick with case makes a little harder to press everytime the power button, in the dark it's super annoying when you mistake it with Volume down... It's just annoying. Give me something easier. Wave to wake up, raise, double tap... Give me all of them and let me choose...
Next: Icons with app drawer are ridiculously BIG! I guess Huawei designers know nothing about aesthetics or don't care...
Next: Notes app doesn't sync with Gmail. I had iPhone and Samsung phones in the past. I really like Stock apps for notes, they are Free, no ads and easy to use.. And they sync with a Google account... This is not the case here.. There is just half baked app, made for 10 minutes while most likely the dude what on the WC...
So many stock Bloat but no Reminders app... Again! Did you try to set simple reminder without using Google Now? I did.. You need to go to Calendar, make Event, turn 100 option some ON, some OFF... Just give me a simple App like on iOS to make a Reminder in 10 secs.. Is this so hard? I guess it's so much easier than making 10 apps that no one is using...
Next: Nothing about Daydream... I guess it won't work with P9...
Next: Again Updates: Sammy released 4 BETA updates, iOS releases many Betas to make sure everything is OK when the final is released to the public.. Huawei still on 1st beta!!!! And most likely this will be the last... We will get Official release full of bugs and will have to wait months for a fix! Thank you Huawei!!!
Next: Huawei is one of the last OEMs that still hasn't uploaded their Stock apps on the Play Store. And we need to wait Months if there is a problem with some of the stock apps! Did you use the stock Huawei keyboard? Did you see how outdated it is? Doesn't have even all the emojis... Not talking about he look from 2008....
Next: Video recording software. Pixel uses software stabilization too, but it's so much better. Video recording quality is ridiculous for a phone at this price... Again I think someone did the coding while was doing his work on the WC... If Pixel can have a lot better recording with software stabilization why we should settle with suck a Joke?
This is why I won't buy another phone from Huawei. Too much negatives for me. And feeling sorry I didn't get the S7... The metal build was more important for me, but i did a mistake.. Should have taken the Glass.. Obviously other OEMs are doing a lot better job...
P.S: Biggest deal breaker: Updates... !
What's the problem if we're currently using Nougat Public Beta? I don't see any fallback. The official will be rolled out sooner or later.
Sent from my EVA-L19 using Tapatalk
Hi Martin, thanks for sharing your opinion, which you're very much entitled to of course.
I'm not too worried about the update. It'll come. It's my experience that almost ALL OEMs are slow at updating to the latest version (Samsung, LG, Oneplus). And when the update comes it's either full of bugs (Oneplus) or makes your phone come to a screeching halt (Samsung).
Notes app... I haven't found anything better than Google Keep for that and it syncs across my devices. Reminders I usually set via the calendar which isn't really an issue for me, but I'm sure there are reminders apps in the Playstore.
Granted, Huawei does have quite a bit of bloat on it, BUT... It doesn't seem to have an impact on either battery life or speed of the phone for me. For me my P9 is my first phone which even after a good 5 months usage is still just as swift and fluid as the first day I got it. And everything just works.

I am not saying it's a bad phone. It's a great phone, but the support is kinda poor. I am not rushing for the Nougat. I don't mind waiting if they will release a really stable version. Not happy that they are on the 1st beta and maybe this will be last and while most problems will be fixed, while they fix them most likely there will be a new one. And there is not a big improvement in Nougat. They could expand some things, make them better. It most of the time color change...
Don't mind the bloat too, I put all the stuff in a folder and forget they exist.
As I said the phone is great, but they could work a little better on the software.
The 3th beta got its firmware yesterday. You want to troll here, thats the point.

Yeah. Have nothing else to do, decided to troll. Nowadays if you say something people disagree is trolling.
Here in Bulgaria - Beta 1. In the official beta thread no reports for another update, but you got 3.. Strange.
Well the P8 won't be updated due to the same reasons as the Xperia Z3 from Sony. The Kirin used in the sP8 simply is not compatible with Vulkan and therefore Googles Certification Process for Android 7. As this does not happen regularly, you should be able to see updates for your P9 for at least 2 years i guess.

Are you invited for beta test? If not, what is the cust for bulgaria?
Why more betas than stable?
Better is to modify 6.0 and make a backup, if 7.0 got bugs in first global releases, then u can go back.
Why we need the same like other manufacture? Its enough now.
For every stuff have their pros / cons no one the best just find the one that fit for you, Huawei do good progress (not the best) and I dint see any new in software in other phone all are same / running on native Android ,you can go for non OEM firmware phone if need more software modification , but Huawei phone I think thay made for standard / daily driver like Apple...
Sounds like the op should have gone to Samsung, you are basically criticising the huawei because its not a samsung.....
I came from samsung and most of the things you point out as negatives are positives to me.
Placement of fingerprint scanner is perfect, touchwiz is awful and filled to the brim with bloat and ugly icons.
You complain about updates, just buy a samsung and see how long before you end up rooting it just so you can get an update or remove bloatware.
Sent from my EVA-L09 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Some of these points are valid, however, the software is as it is because Huawei is a Chinese brand. Huawei is huge in china, and in china, this software is what sells. And if you don't like the stock apps, just download new ones. If you don't like the launcher, download a new one. That is the beauty of android. There are points of EMUI that I don't like either, but most of them I was able to fix by downloading apps and customizing what I could in the settings.
Has somebody forced you to buy the Huawei? If you have bought the phone without acquiring some information before is your fault.
You knew about the update, the software and the pro a d cons, why are you complaining?
If you thought that the samsung was better than the Huawei why you bought it? Take a s7 edge and be happy.
You could install a Rom anyway

How do you know how bad is a phone without using it at least for a month? Do they write the Cons in your country? Because here they don't. Yeah I will install a garage rom to fix my phone...
If I knew how bad this phone will be I was going to get the S7 without thinking twice...
I don't get people like you... Why don't you keep your pointless opinion for yourself. What, do only people with positive experience should write here? I am sharing my experience with this phone. And hope it will help to people who are thinking about getting this phone, thinking it's a great deal and great phone... I don't want people the give their money like me for something that's not worth it... If they read this and still want the phone at least they know some of the flaws and problems they may see and know they can live it it..
And why you shouldn't too!

In most European countries after you buy a phone and open the box, you can't give it back or exchange for another brand.
And it's Shipment, not SOLD... Still it's a great phone, for most people who are not too much into phones or know what other phones can do or how often they are updated, or don't care about updates they would be very happy with this phone. I am happy most of the time while using it. Small things are ruing my usage and this is the problem, they are small, fixable but no one is fixing them.

Has anyone figured out or come across a method of disabling the attached app? ADB method is futile
com.tmobile.echolocate
Only alternative that comes to mind is flashing the U1 firmware.
Same here on both the Note20 & Ultra versions.
I even tried to uninstall via ADB to no avail.
Seriously considering installing the US unlocked firmware.
using Insular app maybe
Freeze using SD Maid or Titanium?
@raul6
Not quite getting how Insular would help.
Sounds like a copy of the app is sandboxed, but, the other copy is still active.
If I'm missing something, please elaborate.
@elmor0
Not rooted, SD Maid/Titanium are of no help in this situation.
Most any other bloatware is able to be frozen/disabled via ADB, but, this one isn't, on an unrooted device.

Hello how are you? Long time no see, good seeing you on here.
Right back at ya.
Yeah,it's been a while, not on as much as w/previous phones (equally because the site changes a while back were buggy, better now, but, still getting used to the new look & feel).
New to the Note 20 Ultra,I probably wouldn't have gotten it if not for a generous Mother's Day trade-in value on the LG Wing ($800).
I've had the regular Note 20 for quite a while now. Too bad the RAM & Storage take a hit vs the Ultra, otherwise it's a solid phone.
From what I gather, there'll be a trade-off if flashing from T-Mo to US Unlocked firmware,in that eSIM is MIA on the latter.
I think I'm going to go ahead & do it anyway,eSIM isn't a must-have,but,it does suck that one has to choose & make a compromise.
I saw that you came from the S21 Ultra........ I probably would have got that, but, the bulk of a case that can hold an S-Pen was a deal breaker. Otherwise,I'm guessing the overall performance is noticeably better than the Note 20 Ultra.
Package Disabler... it gets the AT&T update parasite.
@blackhawk
Which one are you using?
If from the Google Play Store, can you post the link?
I'm currently using the PC tool ADB App Control. It's an awesome tool, but, neither it nor regular ADB commands are working in removing the T-Mobile Diagnostic Tool app.

This is the only one that consistently works year after year.
This recent version doesn't list Google play Services so I have to manually disable it in apps, WTF? It still lists and blocks AT&T updates from running though. It's a yearly subscription now and cloud based however once it's installed you can firewall block it (which I do) with no harm.

You can also call the carrier and have (demand) them to disable it on their end. Did that with AT&T but if you get another device you'll need to do it again. It took some head banging to find an advance tech there to do it.

Good seeing you back. In regards to the S21U, I ordered one in 256GB from Samsung direct, had an issue and sent it back the next day, the screen on the particular one I had, had severe color shift even at a slightest angle. I just couldn't live with that. So now I'm back again in the Note 20U again, this time a mystic black TMO model. Previous was bronze and before that it was a white dual sim south American model and a few other devices in between.
I think I'm going to the same, and flash U1. There was also a lot of Sprint apps on it also.

In my neck of the woods I have seen some slight improvement in 4G LTE speeds, I can also get a 5G signal which is unfortunately slower than LTE for me, so I just keep mine set to LTE 3g 2g etc mode.
The lack of carrier aggregation was my biggest turn off in regards to non USA devices. Lack of 5G not so much of a concern.
Unfortunately I updated mine to BL2 so if that's the case then we'll have to wait until U1 is available to us. Oh well. ..

I'm afraid you're correct. They want to lock you in to Android's flat spin to hell.
The AT&T 4G stock Note 10+/Pie performs well after some... adjustments
That and maybe the Note 20U are the only Samsung's I would consider as Samsung's latter offerings are weak. Android 11 is a disaster and 10 is probably a downgrade from Pie.
Android is on track to be a flaming wreck if Gookill can't pull out of the flat spin it put its self in.
All in all I'm considering buying another Note 10+ 512gb 4G mostly for the extra ram. The 20U has faster memory/cpu but is handicapped by Q.
Slim pickens in my opinion... the N10+ is fast with a gorgeous display. It lacks the rounded corners displays which I loathe, being a CRT raised child The only downside to the perfectly square corners is the need for a good case. These corner hitting Notes will get destroyed without one.

I've been running it for about 6 months. It's always on as it cuts my battery usage by blocking apps like Android Services from constantly polling the internet. Accubattery is also a habitual offender.
It's been a valuable tool in tracking down battery hogs and data mining apps. I have yet to see any misbehavior from it. A near perfect app.
It's valuble logging feature doesn't work on Q and and above I been told. Thanks Gookill...

You need to get a N20U, it'll all be good after a few tweaks. Try it , you'll thank me later.
So back in the day I used to root all my phones. HTC one, HTC one m9, some old LG phone, all of my Samsung notes and anything ni could get my hands on. I loved and died by the venom roms for anything I could put them on. Recently I started looking back Into the scean and it seems like it's not as popular anymore. That being said is it really worth rooting the note 20 ultra once I get it? I could care less about Samsung pay but I do need access to my bank account, PayPal and so on. I read about a work around for the saftynet thing and wanted to know if that was indeed still possible, if so what good roms are there now? I'm upgrading from my note 10+ from att that's Sim unlocked so I'm excited to be able to root again after all these years but want to make sure it's still worth it.

Its a niche by now on many phones. I think samsung is closed too much but they are very good out of the box. You have to seperate a lot if you like to have custom roms. OnePlus before the 8 series or the pixel series are a very good choice. I guess "Nothing" will be good in the future too.

Never needed it, but you're saying I should root my phone so all the apps I need don't work properly, but android auto does? Bit strange....
You probably have a different phone then or a very different software at least. I'm also in UK, and half the things don't work properly at all when stock! You can't connect a ware OS watch properly, some apps will not start at all, some will have different functionality because the phone is with a CN flag in the Build.prop and so on.
I guess it really depends on what you are using on your device... For me personally, using this phone without a root and all the patches is not an option...
Well, half of what things don't work, bit vague? My Huawei watch connects perfectly, maybe you need the China WareOS software? I did with some of my previous Xiaomi phones. I've yet to find something I use or need that doesn't work. I get notifications without any issues, I have removed the China dialler and similar and replaced them with google versions, same for gallery, it's gone too. Literally the only stock apps left are Themes, Cloud Backup, GetApps and the default security software.
Maybe I'm just lucky, and I simply don't use any of the apps that don't work, who knows. I did spend a great deal of time when I initially received the phone, learning what I could completely and safely uninstall with universal-android-debloater. There isn't much China left in my phone at all! lol
The Fold 2 is actually one of the best phones I have ever owned, and it has sold me on the fold concept completely. It runs smooth and silky with amazing battery life. I have owned a great many phones too, I tend to get the upgrade itch quite a bit!
Compared to the old Xiaomi phones of the last ten years or so, debloating stock and staying locked really is the best and simplest option for me. It seems most of the apps can be totally removed without the "boot loop" and "hey nice brick" scenario you would have run into not so long ago.
And I won't go near any .EU rom ever again, those mods are a bunch of....

Well my bootloader is locked. So there's the main difference. Of course things will detect the unlocked bootloader. It's a non secure environment.
As for the apps, maybe getapps is updating them instead of the playstore, or your MIUI account has its region set to China? It's never happened to me so I couldn't say for sure.

Sounds amazing for me when I listen to other people, but apparently anything from my end is awful (which I can confirm with recorded phone calls).
Honestly the only thing letting down this otherwise incredible phone.

Strange, no complaints about call quality from the other end either? I'm using Google dialer, not stock.
I was hoping VoidUI rom would be ported.
This is a great phone. But it would be even better if we had a better rom or everything works.
