Rom toolbox. It's an all in one app It's the only app I've paid for.
My favorite android apps are both email related. For my personal accounts (various gmail and other imap accounts) I really like K-9 Mail.
For connecting to my work Exchange Server though, I broke down and bought TouchDown by NitroDesk. It was pricey but works really well.
Astrid..coz its easy and handy.
Adfree is wonderful if you are rooted.
I find screen caster to be really useful. I usually have to help my siblings with their phones and I take small screen shoots to troubleshoot their needs.
besides the obvious, i like androidlost. works best with rooted phones.
ROM toolbox..
Totally XDA app<--.
I used to like Swype. But since it now has Swype Connect and eats more RAM I don't like it anymore. But the older versions are awesome. There is SlideIT too!
We can type faster with both of them!
Titanium now that I'm trying out different rom's once a week (or sometimes daily). SwiftKey (keyboard) and Root Explorer are the first 2 apps that I put on every time I change roms.
Woah, DIFFICULT question. I think.. Titanium. Without this app i think I wouldn't have flashed a single time.

Best browser for battery life...?

Guys, let's talk about browsers...
Which browsers do you like most for battery management and functionality... Because i think chrome and Firefox are not very sensitive on battery life.
So please share your suggestions or favourite browsers...
I run with Opera and i like it
I like naked browser
Iaa85 from Brazil with Galaxy S7 Edge
Powered by EchoeRom with marvelous Ael Kernel
I do use Google chrome provided in the EMUI.
The reason is, i was able to get the urls which i browsed earlier in my computer.
I don't think browser will use more battery one than another, the major power consumption from Screen when you do browsing...
chrome is the best!!!!
btw also try mozilla
CM Browser is very good and fast !
Don't use Opera as it usually has major security flaws in it . Go with Chrome or Chromium by CM .

Just don't use any Chinese Browsers like UC Browser or Dolphin because they're build in such a way that they track your activity and sell them . They keep the track records inside Android -> Data -> Respective Directory @jirka607 @venom007

Yes. We can relate browser with your data consumption. Not with the Battery.

[APP][4.0.3+] App that makes websites mobile-friendly

Hey guys,
I recently launched a free android app that makes websites mobile-friendly. Even tough there are similar alternatives out there, this app provides you with the best mobile experience when surfing the web on your smartphone.
Give it a try: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dannysapps.appid.procrooze
Any feedback or suggestions are welcome.
Have a nice day.
I really like it. Thanks!
Thank you very much! Please let me know if you have any suggestions for ideas.
It would be a good idea if it is displayed in the options menu when links from other apps are opened.
What is the difference between this and other android browsers ?

Sadly, there is no date to announce. But you can be sure that we will announce it big in the forum when the time has come.
Added: option to open links directly in Procrooze instead of integrated browsers

Hulu play issues

Anybody able to use Hulu and play it? I can stream it to my Chromecast, but I can't play it on the Mate 9. My mate 9 isn't rooted or anything. It can play the advertisements, but after the ads the screen is dark. Anybody have similar experience?
Network instabilities apart, It happened to me for a while on a Samsung galaxy tab A 2016 10.1 running marshmallow. It stopped after webview got updated.
It can be related, but I ain't sure. Haven't experienced anything similar on the mate 9, but since on nougat webview is handled directly from chrome, just for the sake of testing, go to developer options and check out which webview implementation you are using. If it is chrome stable, install chrome dev or canary on the play store and change webview according to it.
Another small option that is worth trying is "enable multi-process webview".
Still stuck

THANKS FOR THE INSITE! Really learned a bit by diving into those dev settings. Sadly didn't work in either case.
Ever verify a solution for this problem (O.P)?
I wonder if our slissues are the same.
US Mate 9
Current ROM
Current Hulu Build
Everything works but the show. Even stranger...I get navigation, pre-rolls, and the icon in the player (NBC, or ABC, Fox...Whatever) and if I seek on the OSD the thumbnails show the scene. All of that and yet the screen is black, aside from said logo.
---------- Post added at 03:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:46 AM ----------
Just enabled CLOSED CAPTION to see if it were somehow playing behind a black box, of sorts, and it wasn't. C.C. revealed that the show or movie simply won't start. It does all the other roll and the screen goes to the player, but their player won't initiate no matter what I do.
Same hulu won't play
Just got the Mate 9, MHA-L29 and I am unable to watch Hulu, black screen forever, any fixes out there??

GOOD NEWS. After an hour with Hulu support on chat they were able to resolve the issue. They have to change the player that your phone uses. They tried a few different ones and finally it worked. Been playing various shows now with no problem. So when you talk to them tell them they need to switch your mobile devices app player
It's an internal player thing, they change the app inside the hulu app itself.

Unfortunately not, let's say the app receives an x264 stream from Hulu, they have to change it on their end so the server pushes a different format the Mate 9 supports.

I tried that 100 times while on support with Hulu, with no luck. It wasn't until they told me they had to change the player that it started working. I can tell the stream coming to my Mate 9 is different because I can no longer toggle the quality option, it sets the resolution depending on the available bandwidth.
I contacted them and implemented the fix but the quality looks like crap. I might be getting rid of the phone since it has many quirks that kind of irk me. Gonna miss the battery life though.
I called and they need to change the player on the backside but the quality really isn't good
I finally got it working. I can select quality, etc.
Ended up flashing to B183. I have the 6GB version now from China. So I went from China->International->USA (C567)
Now on 183, works perfectly. I was extremely surprised
Let me know if anyone gets it to work on the 181 firmware.

Emui App Lock and Facebook Messenger

Hi, i can't see Facebook Messenger in the App Lock list and I don't know why :crying:
I'd like to have Messenger locked with fingerprint, can you help me?
P.s. sorry for my bad english
Hi Panther, I have the same issue have you found a solution ?
I use Tasker + AutoTools for this, it's much faster than Huawei's native app lock.
Basically you create a full screen message that blocks the app as soon as it's launched, and the only way to get rid of the message and continue to the app is by fingerprint.
Any update!

Context is App Launch, here's the task settings.
Some may not apply to you, for example if I'm in my car I disable the app lock.
This looks like a better option than the native one.

Hi Panther I found the solution download keepsafe applock just Google for keepsafe applock apk mirror then download it.
my device has the same problem, but I can't fix it. because huawei built-in apps locker has no apps add an option, only we can lock available apps. that is a big disadvantage .. someone knows a solution for this problem please reply it below.:good:

Hello guys. the solution is too simple
i tested it on my P 10 lite and it works fine
here is the steps :
1. download and install [App Cloner] google search for download
2. open App Cloner , in tab Apps serach for Messenger that you have in your phone and clic on it
3. in case name change messenger to any thing you want for me i put "F. Messenger"
4. clic on the Nike arrow to begin Clonning proccess.
5. once messenger is clonned a window will appear just clic on install F.messenger.
6. go to your native app lock and search for F. Messenger and select to protect it.
7. Don't forget to uninstall the original messenger, you don't need it now.
That's all.
Please excuse my english
