Best browser for battery life...? - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

Guys, let's talk about browsers...
Which browsers do you like most for battery management and functionality... Because i think chrome and Firefox are not very sensitive on battery life.
So please share your suggestions or favourite browsers...

I run with Opera and i like it

I like naked browser
Iaa85 from Brazil with Galaxy S7 Edge
Powered by EchoeRom with marvelous Ael Kernel

I do use Google chrome provided in the EMUI.
The reason is, i was able to get the urls which i browsed earlier in my computer.

I don't think browser will use more battery one than another, the major power consumption from Screen when you do browsing...

chrome is the best!!!!
btw also try mozilla

CM Browser is very good and fast !

Don't use Opera as it usually has major security flaws in it . Go with Chrome or Chromium by CM .

exatly, chrome is the best!!!!

Just don't use any Chinese Browsers like UC Browser or Dolphin because they're build in such a way that they track your activity and sell them . They keep the track records inside Android -> Data -> Respective Directory @jirka607 @venom007

Yes. We can relate browser with your data consumption. Not with the Battery.

Lollipop Browser?

What browser is everyone using after the Lollipop upgrade? I was on Dolphin, but it's very laggy and no longer supports flash. Switched to Naked browser which is much smoother, but still no flash. Trying Puffin now, good flash, but a little laggy. Main reason for flash is almost no Facebook video will play without flash. Frustrating to have to turn on my PC to watch video.
Any other browser's any good?

If you get webpages that won't load after using adaway, that you feel shouldn't be blocked, you can add it to your whitelist.
Atlas
CM Browser. I had some issues with it on KK but it seems they fixed it now. It's fast, has a nice UI, a fullscreen mode, a home button and an exit button. That's pretty much everything I want/need.
I actively use adaway. It seems to block ads in apps and in Firefox and cm browser but not chrome.
Now I use lighting browser but I prefer aosp browser but it doesn't work on lollipop.
Try javelin. It blocks ads natively and has material aspects

There's a "get flash" guide thread in these n5 forums. Forget if its general or q&a.
I'm using Firefox. Is it just me or its actually slow compared to Chrome. It won't open links that readily load on Chrome.
I was a Firefox guy for the longest time, synced between my laptop, tablet and phone. But I've had it, I always put up with the lack of speed but it's just so frustrating. I can't believe reviews of Firefox when they call it fast.
I switched everything over to Chrome. The address bar isn't nearly as good as predicting what website you want compared to Firefox but it's much, much faster and I welcome that.

There's only one flash apk. Flash is unsupported on android. There will never be a new version again. We must always try to modify the ICS version.
Who knows if it will work on lollipop. I dont even think dolphin works on lollipop. Anyway, there is one apk and one guide only. If you know about it already. Then you know as much as everyone else

if you use data compression, adaway will not work. data compression makes chrome go through a different web server, thus, adaway does not block ads. opt out of compression in chrome and ads will be blocked.

I am using stock adobe flash apk file and firefox beta and i got flash working. is that the same as what you are describing?
Other then Chrome I use Puffin and it runs well and still does flash even though flash is almost extinct. Some sites still use it.

Why each switch from Chrome and Open Others and back to Chrome Reload the Web again?

Does this Chrome issues or Moto G 2015 issues? We have Moto G 2015 1GB RAM 8GB ROM, each time browse using Chrome and open one or two pages... then switch to others app example Twitter or Facebook.. then back to Chrome Tabs this Page Reload again... what happen? does this Chrome issues or Moto G 2015 issues?
Another issues is, if we open new tab in Chrome the page not open in the background.. the website/page will be load when we switch to this Tab... does any clue about it?
Thanks

Most Chrome reload issues are due to lack of free RAM. It can be a demanding browser.

That could be an understatement, it was the most demanding app on my phone until I removed it.
Might try this once
It's also kind of site you use. For example, few sites have pop ads networks so that you are forced to install or visit an app or site. So it all depends on your browsing.
If it was opening without accessing any site, then try to uninstall and then reinstall it with the latest version.
can you tell us, what you recommended browser right now?
Try These
Firstly, if it was with site, then you don't need to try other browsers. Because it's the site that causing issues.
Secondly, you can try firefox or opera they are also best but not recommend to use until if you are give it up with chrome.

Yes, I'm rooted and I uninstalled it. I didn't try, but I think it can be disabled which won't give you all the space back but will stop the memory usage.

[APP][4.0.3+] App that makes websites mobile-friendly

Hey guys,
I recently launched a free android app that makes websites mobile-friendly. Even tough there are similar alternatives out there, this app provides you with the best mobile experience when surfing the web on your smartphone.
Give it a try: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dannysapps.appid.procrooze
Any feedback or suggestions are welcome.
Have a nice day.
I really like it. Thanks!
Thank you very much! Please let me know if you have any suggestions for ideas.
It would be a good idea if it is displayed in the options menu when links from other apps are opened.
What is the difference between this and other android browsers ?
---------- Post added at 01:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:24 PM ----------
Most of the websites are not opening at all. Err connection refused...

Sadly, there is no date to announce. But you can be sure that we will announce it big in the forum when the time has come.
Added: option to open links directly in Procrooze instead of integrated browsers

Facebook videos on Honor 8

So I seem to be having a problem with certain videos when I scroll through Facebook links...
This happened recently. I don't know if the news outlets are using a different sort of system or Facebook have changed something.
Can someone provide me with an explanation?

This is not a Facebook video. It's from a 3rd party website. You can try to view this page in chrome. Maybe it will be fixed

above imo, but check out this article - depends on your network setup how careful you are installing apps amongst other aspects - https://www.theguardian.com/technology/askjack/2017/jun/22/is-it-safer-to-use-an-app-or-a-browser-for-banking#:~:text=Apps%20are%20risky%20because%20most,should%20not%20have%20any%20problems.
