I have reading the forum and tried contacting 1+7 also but they just say switch off nfc and so on but till today (1 month since I bought it ) I still have the problem . while making a call it goes on hold or connects another call or something or the other happens and the other person gets irritated as if I am doing on purpose. I am still unable to solve this will changing rom be the solution or can someone please help I am fed up with this instrument
My 2 cents... are you sure that it's a ghost touch issue? To me it seems more a proximity sensor trouble... it is possible that, while in call, screen doesn't go off (or wake up while you're talking) and your ear triggers commands at random.
Try to check that your screen remains black while in call, else you could try to reset sensors with one of the apps available on Play Store.
BTW: I had a similar problem one or two times, but maybe because I wasn't so near the phone while I was talking.

Search for "Proximity sensor reset" or similar names. Usually apps like that needs root privileges, btw.
I've had problems with the screen waking up and then causing problems while in call too. This while it's still against my face. Apparently touching my face makes it go into other apps and causes problems. I've had it go into airplane mode, mute and do other weird stuff.
I've had the screen go crazy with multiple chains of taps too, especially while holding it in landscape mode.
Turning the refresh rate down to 60 Hz helped some, but the problem's still there.
I think there's something jacked in their implementation. I came from an S8 that had a curved screen and I never had the phantom tap problems I have with this thing.

I'll try that, but I don't think I have that enabled. I disabled NFC for the other tap issues and that helped some.
I really wish there was a screen calibration tool. Samsung curved screens have none of these issues.
Do you have a dirty screen protector?
This is a known bug with the proximity sensor, although, actually, I believe the root cause is something else.
Screen does go black, which indicates the proximity sensor is working and recognizes your face is near... But input is still allowed (meaning it does not lock it).
As a result, during a call your face/ear will press whatever is underneath and trigger random actions.
I believe (I hope?) that OnePlus is aware of this issue and they issue a fix.
I think it was briefly fixed for 9.5.9 and then reverted on 9.5.10 since it introduced other issues.
Quality control has been a bit subpar on the OnePlus 7 Pro builds when compared to my previous OnePlus phones...
Did you guys ever noticed phone randomly switching screen to saturated mode?... Happens randomly, kind of often.
While in settings it will still show you're on sRGB or natural, but actual calibration jumps to what looks is AMOLED white gamut. Switching it back to your preferred mode fixes things for some time until the next random switch.
I'm not sure if this is rom related or not, seems like I had this problem on multiple OBs and stables on Android 10, with different kernels.
Currently on OB12 + xXx + arter kernel and this issue is present.
I guess I'm the only one having this problem... one every OOS beta and latest stable with stock kernel, screen calibration literally jumps to wide gamut after locking/unlocking the screen.
Ice Bear has experienced this issue ever since upgrading to OOS 10 and it's been this way since the first version of OOS 10. Screen calibration was fine on OOS 9.
I noticed the switch happens when you receive a call almost 90% of the time. I had this problem since 10.0.0 and on beta as well. I provided system logs to help OnePlus teams to track this bug down and since then, I switched to vivid and did not bother much. Currently I don't know if it still exists, what's your build?
Hi all,
Just got this Mi Note 10 today and while setting up the phone I started to get those weird screen touches..
Happened so often that I enabled 'Show Taps' via developer options and recorded it here:

Any thoughts welcome!
thanks

Okay, this is weird. Which version is it? And did you have already tried to reset your device? If it's still there it's probably a hardware defect.

Well, I had the same MIUI version and region. I bet it's not a software problem. Just send it back

Right, so no fix really... disappointing as the cameras are impressive
My device came shipped with Android Pie Based Miui 11, no screen weirdness. Just after the Android 10 updates that ghost touches appear. So I guess it's just software bug.
me too, sure software problem.
Thanks for the feedback, if software-related were you able to roll back to fix this?
Happy to try a workaround as I'm very reluctant to send it back..
worth a try though, but unfortunately Xiaomi didn't provide stock ROM specifically for my region so I left with no choice
Completely puzzled as I did a Factory Reset via Recovery and haven't seen the issue for past 2 days, I've left the screen touch tracing on and no 'ghost touch' was recorded..
so I don't know what to believe anymore, got an open return ticket but would hate to send it back without needing to..
how can I make sure issue is gone?
Hi, i had this problem 3 weeks ago, temporary solved with hard reset, worked perfectly until yesterday night when this problem went back.
Hard reset again, problem still there.
Someone solved it permanently?
It is really weird because, if i turn off/on the display, sometime works sometime not :S
The phone came with Android 9 and I started to face this after updating to Android 10. The issue is not extreme as shown in the video, it just the touch becomes slow to respond and hard to type fast with the keyboard. Turning off the screen and turning back on solves it temporarily sometimes.
I tried disabling on screen fingerprint and the problem seems to be reduced now. Definitely a software bug
I'm using Mi note 10 lite it also has same problem. Sometime touch freezing and after press power button automatically fix. Some time need to restart. And also one person told me he is fixed by this issue by turned off fingerprint sensor.

I have the exact same problem as you, slow to respond and hard to type. Need to apply more force on the screen for it to respond. This happened randomly throughout the day but are more common during night time for me.
I think it has something to do with the screen lock pin or fingerprint, by changing the screen lock from ie pin to pattern or turning off fingerprint print seems to temporary fix the issue. Another solution is to reboot the phone. I'm using Note 10 Lite btw.

I am using the Pro version. Looks like this issue is common for all the phone models in the Note 10 series. Yes, I have noticed that this issue often happens at night.
Try switching off MIUI optimization under Developer Options and restart your device. Then switch it On and restart again. This workaround solved my issue.

This fixed the issue for a few days and it started to reappear again. When the issue appears, if I turn on Game Turbo for any app (eg: WhatsApp) that particular app doesn't have this touch issue. Looks like a software optimization or battery optimization of MIUI is causing this issue

What firmware version are u in?
I'm currently at 11.0.16.0 and fortunately this issue did not yet reappeared after the workaround.
This is definitely a software ISSUE with MIUI.

MIUI 11.1.3.0 Global Stable
Will try out the MIUI optimization to see whether issue still arise. I'll see if my game turbo have the same issue as you too.
I'm currently at 11.0.7.0 (Mi Note 10 Lite)
Edit: Mi optimisation doesn't work for me but the Game Turbo trick do work.
Hello everyone,
after (I think) last rom update on my AC2003 12/256GB (now I'm to Oxygen OS 11.1.4.4.AC01BA) I noticed that often the smartphone goes automatically in vibration mode, EVEN in the slide switch is kept in ringtone mode (first lowe position).. so several time, when it happes before to answering a call, I cannot hear any sound due to this behaviour..
Anyone had some experience in this issue? And there's a way to fix without coming back to an old rom version as well?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT:
It was a buggy version of Truecaller app causing the issue, after an update, now all is working properly again.
Hello Guys,
i have a friend with a rog phone 5 with a weird sound bug.
Sometimes every sound that is played becomes a white noise and the phone practically just hisses at you.
I also had that bug one time on my old Samsung with LineageOS, so i think thats a software bug.
The Thing is...is already reinstalled him the Software about 5times. Also fully deletd android with TWRP and reinstalled it with bootloader.
Currently its running the latest version provided by asus on their website.
Does anybody have a idea on that bug. I mean....what could i be that wont be fixed when i reinstall the software.
Doesnt seem like a hardware problem to me.
Also the Problem disappears for a specific period of time after he restarts the phone.
Thanks!
Try to disable AudioWizard (com.asus.audiowizard) temporarily and see if that makes any difference. Also try to downgrade the ROM to a different version. Could still well be a hardware issue..
