I'm trying to flash LineageOS 16.0, when I flash TWRP the screen is non responsive I can press a button and it will register as clicked but has no response, subsequent touches have no effect.
I am using a replacement screen I am assuming it's non genuine and there's a hardware bug. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Is it possible to flash Lineage without TWRP?

Device: XT1034
Bootloader: motoboot_411A_xt1032.img (confirmed working with XT1034)
Recovery: twrp-2.8.7.0.-falcon_M_STOCK_NOTHEME.img
ROM: XT1034_AWS_Retail_US_51_Optimized_v1.0.zip (posted by lost101)
Steps taken:
1. Factory wipe
2. Set unlock PIN
3. Encrypt from Settings menu
The phone reboots and gets to the animation where the word "android" has shades of light and dark scrolling through it. It stays on this screen for over an hour. At that point I use power+down to get to the bootloader and then boot normally. The system comes up without issue and nothing was encrypted. Is this a known issue? How do I debug this?
EDIT: I decided to see what happens if I installed the CM12.1 ROM. I had attempted this earlier but it resulted in a bootloop. This time the installation was successful. I attempted the encryption from CM12.1 and it completed successfully. My problem, then, is either a bug in the optimized ROM from lost101 or an incompatability between that ROM and my recovery or bootloader. While the problem is resolved as far as I'm concerned, I'd be interested in hearing your experiences and theories on this.
My touch screen suddenly stopped working. The weird thing is that touch is not working only on the lower part. Remaining part it is working perfectly fine. OS using Lineage Android 7.1.1
What this problem might be is this hardware or software problem?
I checked whether this is software error. But when I enter TWRP recovery as I said only lower part of touch not working. It has become incredibly difficult to wipe cache and dalvik cache even in the recovery the touch is not working
Any suggestions how to make it work

Change your display, it's cheap and easy, you can change yourself.
bootloader unlocked
MIUI 9.5.19 global ROM installed
Magisk 16.4
Have been using the phone for 2 weeks now it's the second time that the phone shut down because of battery to low. OK so far but it then only is booting into TWRP. Also deleting DALVIK and CACHE i can see it booting and then the black screen with the navigation arrows are visible for a second. It's seems that there is something preventing the system to come up properly. After 5 short attempts with black screen and navigationbar visible it boots into TWRP.
Also re-flashing Magisk is not solving it.
OK I could now re-flash the Global ROM again but it won't fix the general issue why the phone get's stuck once it shuts off because of empty battery and again I would loose all my data.
Anyone with ideas how to fix it or what could be the root cause?
EDIT: It seems that there is really a problem with the system itself. If I instantly hold the power button once booted until the black screen I could keep it running and I see the restart, shutdown, airplane buttons but nothing more.
In Windows I would say it's not starting the explorer.exe
anyone who had something similar?
Have you tried re-flashing with MiFlash?
Bootloop after weeks of normal use is pretty misleading considering that you are using a custom recovery that isn't even official plus Magisk and possibly other mods. You should flash the official stable ROM with the MI Flash Tool and then run the phone without any mods to see if you still experience the same problem. And if you decide to use TWRP again you are better off using it through fastboot so the stock recovery remains installed on the phone.
THx for your replies... I think I've figured it out:
It seems that the alternative launcher is the root cause. I've been using Microsoft Launcher since moths across all my devices (light+fast+sexy). Without it (replaced by Nova now) it seems that the problems are fixed
Hey, so i tried installing TWRP in my Android 6 device using SP Flash Tool,it flashed successfully and i could use it for some time but after that the touch screen of my phone is not working. So is there any way to solve this???I have tried factory data reset and rebooting but nothing worked. There is no hardware issue ig because it was working really good few seconds before. If there is a way to solve this do let me know??????
I have an unlocked Google Pixel that has a touch screen issue when booted into system (stock Android 10), where nothing works when touching the screen.
However, when I boot into TWRP 3.5.2_9-0, the touchscreen works and I can tap on all the buttons and even can perform a slide to enable system modification.
Anyone encounter this issue before have any suggestion? I tried wiping and reflashing using the latest available factory image, however nothing works.
