com.phone.android not responding on HTC U11 - HTC U11 Questions & Answers

OK so here's the issue i have a stock HTC u11 phone which completely stopped working last week. It gave me a com.android.phone is not responding error message. For me this was a simple fix. Clear the Cache start fresh problem solved. So far no luck. Go Deeper clear the Cache Partition restart problem solved. No luck. Go Deeper Factory Reset the phone as i've got 0 connectivity though wi-fi or mobile. And Still have the same issue. Trying to access the Sim toolkit on the completely wiped phone still give me the same error message of com.android.phone is not responding and it still doesn't recognize the SIM card or allow wi-fi to turn on. Any suggestions?

[Q] Clean Install on LG GT540

Hi all,
It was bound to happen, and now the question is how to get out of this mess. A friend and I both have the LG GT540 - and both are not working!
I ran into some trouble with mine I am having the problem that every three seconds I get the following message: ""the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".
Sometimes, I can still work around this by doing a hard reset or booting it up again. To make matters worse I can't seem to connect to the internet, as some internal process appear to be not working at all.
In turn, my friend's phone has become a brick, and does not function at all.
Therefore, the question is: how do you perform a clean install on the phone from your PC?
Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance.

[Q] Boot Problem on HTC HD2

Help,
I recently installed Duttys Family rom onto my HTC HD2, it went through all the basic set up procedure (Set time & date etc.) then rebooted, upon reboot it froze on the starting screen (black screen with a pink disc) I did a hard reset without the sim card in and it started fine and ran fine but putting the sim back in causes the freezing problem again.
I then started the phone without the sim in and installed MAGDLR 1.1 rom to see if this would resolve the problem however it has just made it worse as the phone gets stuck on the black screen as before but won't go further, I've tried hard and soft resets as well as task29 but nothing works, I've also tried the sim in other phones to see if that is the cause of the problem but it works fine, also the warranty is void due to installation of HSPL.
Anyone got any ideas on how to resolve this problem? Help would be really appreciated

I think you would have more luck posting in the ROM's forum.

[Q] [HELP] The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly

i recently bought a htc Desire S. it was working fine, for day or so. now every time i start it i get 'The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly' if i press wait.. it lets me get through a few of the setup options, then it does it again, and sometimes does the same for process .com.htc.bgp (but only once). if i press force close, it keeps rebooting and just shows the htc logo.
so i cannot start the phone.
ive tried a factory reset (twice) with no luck, i have tried 'solutions' from many threads, none seem to work. is there a way i can re-install android 2.3 or something?
does same thing in safe mode.
thankyou.
If you've only just bought it then I'd take it back for a replacement, it sounds like a hardware fault to me.
Only other thing I can think it might be would be a faulty SIM card. Have you tried booting it without a SIM in?
Could try without sim and sd card
You could r flash an ruu, but as it's new you'd be better off to just take it back and ask for another one

Some days ago I messed up my buttons (i was deleting some files with root explorer), touch screen was working fine but all buttons not ! I did 2 factory reset but nothing. I ended to reinstall ROM which solved my problem so maybe could help you to.
I'm doing well, you have to pull out a battery for a while and then come back it goes.

[Q] Restart loop(not bootloop) - really weird

Hey lads,
I got a really weird problem and I've tried nearly everything I can think of. I had EMUI 2.3(b121sp06) and I tried the online OTA update to b307 if I remember right(was automatically suggesting the update) and at the update screen it loaded to about 99% and then stopped. Said not to press power while on this screen but obviously it wasn't going to finish. So I reset the phone and it started the "recovery loop", so basically keep trying to apply the update. I had to flash CWM to break out and flashed the whole system by hand(recovery, system, boot, cache, cust and userdata img files) and it starts up but it keeps resetting and seemingly it's random. Android boots up, I don't touch the phone--> boom reset. Weird thing is it even does it in recovery.
If I really want to explain the problem it's like as if my finger got stuck on the power button(that naturally made me think that the button might be f*cked), but booting into fastboot and not having resets cleared my suspicion. What I also noticed is that every time it boots up it doesn't recognize the sim card and I have no signal or whatsoever.
Tried multi tool unbricking method -> doesn't work
Tried factory reset from stock recovery(had to be fast so it doesn't reset before) ->doesn't work
Tried wiping dalvik cache and factory reset from CWM ->doesn't work
Tried killing battery by letting it keep resetting -> battery drained, reset loop stopped ->put the phone on charger->reset loop started again
I have no f*cking clue how can I get out of this, will keep trying though. Any help is appreciated, thank you!
Hi
Did you try to remove the Sd Card ? Honor 6 reboot is often due to faulty SD Card.
Which model do you have ? L04 ?
B307 upgrade sure ?
Seb
Yes, that was my first idea, still does it though. I have the L02 and I'm not positive it was b307, but it started with 3, could be b303 if there is one.
I don't know for L02 but for L04 there is a Full ROM that you can flash with the three buttons method. (Vol+,Vol-, power and put the ROM in /dload folder on the SD card).
Maybe there is such thing for L02 ?
There is, but as I said the phone restarts even in recovery. It's like the phone restarts every 30 secs except for fastboot.
if it's not SD card or internal flash problem so, it seems to be hardware related to me (
Would make sense but it occurred only after I tried OTA. Would be really surprised if that killed that hardware :-/

Its might be a battery problem Or power flex cable. Try to turn on the phone during charge
guys im facing the same problem now... waiting for any solutions
I have tried stop & uninstall some app
I've tried as quickly as I can when the phone (nokia x) is on, then I stop> uninstall I consider potentially cause this problem (facebook, whatsapp, uc browser) and then it managed to prevent the continuous restarts. but problems arise even though the application had me uninstall and then I restart the phone. and it is back again, I uninstalled the app that has remained with the error settings and restart repeatedly. who knows what else : '(

Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs
In the past my battery lost it's endurance pretty much. Furthermore I've read that a defective battery causes lots of weird behaviours on our Honor 6, which was the same to mine.
In my case a replacement of the battery worked well, to get my Honor 6 back to life:

It's not that difficult and lasts approx. 30-45 mins. Spare Batteries are available for 6 - 10 bucks on ebay or directly from the chinese internet stores.

Galaxy S6 unresponsive and requiring rebooting. What to do?

Twice in the past week I got my phone out and it was off and unresponsive. I had to do soft boot with power volume down to get the phone working. This is something that I have not experienced with other android phones. I am on Verizon with stock Galaxy S6 running 5.0.2.
Is this a defective phone or some application causing problems. What steps can I take to troubleshoot the problem? Who would I turn to for help?
Having my phone randomly stop working is unacceptable as this is my primary line. I can't afford to miss calls. I need to get this fixed.
Go to Settings-About Device-Software Update. Update the software of your S6.
Tried that, my software is up to date according to settings update.
I have your problem too, you should try to install FXR Wifi Fix. It solved random reboots for me, now my phone just reboot when I download something from Play Store (maybe RAM issue).
random rebbots too
i have random rebbots to, during the day maybe 20 times
its freeze nonstop
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsOAGhZvq84
tried everything but no luck
I found a "solution", reset your phone and don't configure wifi. If you never turn on wifi your random reboots will stop.

The same here. I own a german (Vodafone) S6 (non Edge; stock 5.0.2; no root) 128GB und sometimes the phone will not respond to any button when I grap it out of my pocket.
The screen keeps black and only Power + Vol Down helps...
Disabling WiFi is no solution for me. Guys, it's a Smartphone ...
Will try the above mentioned Wifi fix. Thanks!
