I spent quite some time looking for a gcam with working video and I finally found one. It's modded by wyroczen.
Working:
-Photo mode
-HDR+
-Video 24/30/60fps
-Night Sight
-Astrophotography mode working but couldn't get good results due to poor conditions
Not working:
-Portrait mode
-4K filming
I filmed with the EIS on and off and I could't notice any difference (just by shaking it) I will update once I try it on my bike.

Probably could of posted this in one of the 3 other gcam threads .. But either way good find !
Portrait mode rear cam works sometimes for me, portrait front cam works fine.
Slomo closes app for me ..

I keep getting the "application not installed" error with all Gcam versions that supposed to work, including this one. What am I doing wrong?
I'm on stock rom, MIUI 11 (Android 9), no root - but I don't need it, right?

Check logcat and see what's wrong. And no, you don't need root.
Yeah the problem is saving the image, the app crashes after making a picture. Logcat says mediacodec error...

You must insert config file (xml) to fix this error.

Not my ROM. You would need to ask at the LeEco site.
Used it for a few days,
everything almost 100% working so far.
Very smooth and fast, no unusual battery drain.
The only thing is the camera (or me very important)
OpenCamera is a bit too slow when shooting, so with moving objects it`s very difficult to obtain a sharp image.
A Better Camera is not working at all. Spend money for nothing....
High Speed Camera is working very well but 8mpx resolution max.
FV-5 is also working very well but you have to install Cinema FV-5 to shoot videos
Levono Camera without working video recording, only photos.
And so on....
So it´s very difficult to get the same image quality and options like HDR, Panorama like in stock Camera with an "all in one solution"

I've got to the same point, and I am happy with the Lenovo app. It does both camera and at full resolution and the results are better than the stock camera.
Strange, for me Video with Levono is not working.

Works on Cm13 for X620.
Allows both cameras to work at full resolution.

Crashes when switched to front camera. And my device(galaxy s7 Exynos) restarts when video is set to 60 fps. So far so good with the rear cam.

Thanks for your work. Observing the same issue. Front cam not working.
No dice, neither version 1.1 or 1.2 works, v1.1 dosn't give any changes in portrait mode or HDR+ and version 1.2 error out with " can't connect to camera"

I just saw this post, got the GCAM app and did a very quick comparison. Both pics were taken in an almost pitch black room with a dim night light. I'll do more comparisons tomorrow night. Thanks OP for this great find!

you are amazing the response time is almost real-time... it is impressive just the slow-motion is off.
Guys join Oneplus 7 Gcam telegram and use the Gcam available there. They have a bunch of settings(XML) and different gcam versions.
Dev has added support for ultra wide and telephoto lens but for rooted op7 pro users only.
The support is really great.
It's working really good oppo reno 10x.

Google camera supports only single cam for now.
This is amazing!!!!! When I installed Android Q Beta 6 for poco I got unlimited storage on Google photos original quality until 2022

have you tried to sync some videos up and see if your google drive's space is being taken up?
Some or the custom ROMs that used to have this hack also displayed those claims, but didnt work at all

It sure can be used as a daily driver! it works great for me with no lag or issues at all, face unlock isn't working but fingerprint scanner is far more secure anyways.

Where found this rom for us poco ?

The rom has a battery drain issue, my pocophone barely survives 4 hours with this rom.
(Usually it lasts 10 hours+)

Wrong! I tried flashing it and it says that it has unlimited storage, then asks if I want original quality on my drive storage or high quality
I had similar deal when i got lg g4 unlimited or many gb like 100 gb i dont remember, for 2 years. And when that pass you end up with blocked accaunt.
It is buy space or revert all photos from original quality to gain space...
Pocophone main camera is 12MP and google hi quality is 16MP, so i dont see the point?

Great question! I hope there is, but I'm assuming we'd have to go third-party app for that.
[edit] According to this vid (for the Pixel 6) the only two settings you can enable are "exposure" and "white balance" (which were already 'on' on my P7P.)
Hopefully someone releases gcam for the Pixel7Pro lol
this camera app is Very basic
I would also like to see a decent GCam setup/config file.
Running Graphene the cam provided is lackluster and installing google camera is a tad better but feel it is not quite working as intended. Heck of a lot better however the macro seems a tad grainy at times.

Sorry for the question, but what is the difference from this Gcam an the default one of the p7p? I have installed and I don't see any manual control or something different from the stock Gcam

Those are only for video recording, not photography. (Own both apps since years)
In order to stop BSG GCam (8.6 builds) from crashing, all you need to do is pick Pixel 6 Pro as the interface model in settings. I know it doesn't make sense, but if you choose P7P interface it'll crash, so just use P6P and enjoy.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong but:
1. I installed MGC_8.6.263_A11_V9_ENG.apk (com.google.android.GoogleCameraEng) as suggested in Post 5 by K1nsey6. Camera installs but shows a black screen.
2. Then I download the Pixel 7 Pro config as suggested in Post 9 above by K1nsey6. I imported the config from within Camera app but it still shows a black screen and crashes.
3. I then changed the phone model to Pixel 6 Pro as suggested by jericho246 in Post 15. Still no joy - black screen and crashes right after I tap to Video.
4. Also enabled Additional Settings in Modules. Still no joy - a black screen in all modes and crashes.
Tried to select other profiles available in the Config - all are crashing.
Tried to clear cache but no joy.
All in all, the camera is not working.
Am I doing something wrong?
Is there any option to force portrait mode not to zoom by default in GCAM?
i dont see any difference in this with the config and the normal gcam app quality wise.
*apart from the photos beeing as twice as big in filesize*

latest 8.6 v10 from BSG with the xml posted above works great so far on my P7P.
Coming from a P6P with MWP gcam I was really disappointed by the stock Google camera processing on my P7P.

What's the difference between the BSG cam and the default cam?
