Face2Gif is the fastest way to create your own animated gifs right from your phone or tablet! It's perfect for reaction gifs (reaction faces), and time-lapse shots. If you have been on 9gag, tumblr recently, you probably have seen one of these pictures.
This app uses your front camera to record your face, and converts it into an animated gif picture to share with your friends, on your blog, and just everywhere!
The app is newly released so please bear with me in fixing all the bugs, please report if the app crashes or does something nasty!
Inspired from hdragomir.github.io/facetogif by Horia Dragomir.
Features:
-Create animated gif "reaction faces" with ease
-Share it to other apps and instant messaging
-Upload it online!
-Apply effects like Caption or Vignette to the picture
-Gallery to view your gifs

Trying to use it on my tf300t but am seeing 'can't connect to camera'. Any hope?

Great app so far! Easy to use, minimal permissions needed (that's good), decent interface. Fantastic work.
Constructive criticism: Use of the normal (rear camera) would be nice and maybe a setting to change the location of where the finished gif's get stored. Besides that, love it.

Um, are you running the app in landscape or portrait? There are glitched when run in landscape sometime...

Thank you! Rear camera is def. an upcoming feature, and I will look into alternate URLs for the gifs.

It crashes when trying to share with Gmail too. The only option to export the gif file so far that has worked is Dropbox.

Besides minor FC when trying to share.... Very nice app... As far as wanting to use the rear camera I'll wait for the new app to do so...
Some criticism would be for the future:
A lot of users aren't willing to install 2 apps that will do the same thing only to be able to use the front and back camera...& changing the name of the application isn't really necessary if u include the ability to use the back camera just keep the front camera as default...
Otherwise great app Google + be ready for some more GIFs lol

This camera is nice but missing some options I really liked and used a lot. I had some nice cameras in the past on custom ROMs. Anybody know of any camera apps that give you more options? I'm looking for when you take a pic you can filter out certain colors. Not sure what the features are really called.

Personally by far the best is 'A Better Camera'.
Besides being totally manual in its controls it has an immense amount of settings you can apply.
It's the only app that controls not just exposure and white balance but ISO as well.
Camera FV-5 shows it too can change ISO but the second you use it you soon notice the ISO never actually changes in the shot taken.
When you use A Better Camera ensure you swipe the screen twice to gain access to the options for each swipe.

Unfortunately the developer has not released a free or trial version thus making it difficult to download, especially when you have A Better Camera and Camera FV-5 to try before buying.
If it were based on filters alone I would chose the free and very good Camera 360 app.
However, I am always on the lookout for a great camera app and have not tried Camera 2.

I actually never heard of it. Went to best buy yesterday and I guess someone had installed it on an s5. So I tried it there and then bought it. It has those settings and pic effects. You should be able to buy and try it. Then if you don't like it you can refund. I've done that with many apps. I believe as long as you do the refund in I think 15 min

Thanks... You are right it is 15 mins and to be honest that's nowhere near enough time to try a camera app out.
Don't get me wrong, it may be a very good app but with only a 15 minute returns window on apps that obviously need much longer to test I wish it were mandatory for developers to offer you trials or lite versions.
Until then I'll pass but I'm very pleased you found an app you are happy with.

Not my ROM. You would need to ask at the LeEco site.

Used it for a few days,
everything almost 100% working so far.
Very smooth and fast, no unusual battery drain.
The only thing is the camera (or me very important)
OpenCamera is a bit too slow when shooting, so with moving objects it`s very difficult to obtain a sharp image.
A Better Camera is not working at all. Spend money for nothing....
High Speed Camera is working very well but 8mpx resolution max.
FV-5 is also working very well but you have to install Cinema FV-5 to shoot videos
Levono Camera without working video recording, only photos.
And so on....
So it´s very difficult to get the same image quality and options like HDR, Panorama like in stock Camera with an "all in one solution"

I've got to the same point, and I am happy with the Lenovo app. It does both camera and at full resolution and the results are better than the stock camera.

Strange, for me Video with Levono is not working.

Having the same issue.
I also posted a topic, didn't get any response, so I just edit my photos to get back some colors and stuff.

Not yet, couldn't find any post related to this problem. If I find something I'll post it in the future.
I would recommend maybe downloading gcam, in some cases it's better than the stock camera app, users can confirm. I personally just stick with the stock images from the in-built camera app and edit my photos.
Edit: The app I'm using is snapseed. Works pretty good. Just use the curve editor and slide it up on red color.

Not at all, just take a picture of whatever you want, in Snapseed open that photo, on the middle it should be an option called Tools, click on that, on the first row there's an option called curves. After that you adjust it to your likes. It varies from the photo and your personal preference.
Attached are some photos that maybe can be helpful.
Edit: Sorry for the late reply, I work 10 to 12 hour shifts, but I try to reply as soon as possible.

Haven't see any commitment from OnePlus on this issue. Its still open and I cannot belive I paid a bomb for this piece of useless garbage. OnePlus definitely was great untill CP now with direct oppo taking over this is not a value for money. Last best phone from OP was 7T

Question Pro camera app?

The camera app is lackluster in terms of manual control.
Is there way to unlock some pro mode or alternate app for that?

Great question! I hope there is, but I'm assuming we'd have to go third-party app for that.
[edit] According to this vid (for the Pixel 6) the only two settings you can enable are "exposure" and "white balance" (which were already 'on' on my P7P.)

Hopefully someone releases gcam for the Pixel7Pro lol
this camera app is Very basic

I would also like to see a decent GCam setup/config file.
Running Graphene the cam provided is lackluster and installing google camera is a tad better but feel it is not quite working as intended. Heck of a lot better however the macro seems a tad grainy at times.

Sorry for the question, but what is the difference from this Gcam an the default one of the p7p? I have installed and I don't see any manual control or something different from the stock Gcam

Those are only for video recording, not photography. (Own both apps since years)

In order to stop BSG GCam (8.6 builds) from crashing, all you need to do is pick Pixel 6 Pro as the interface model in settings. I know it doesn't make sense, but if you choose P7P interface it'll crash, so just use P6P and enjoy.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong but:
1. I installed MGC_8.6.263_A11_V9_ENG.apk (com.google.android.GoogleCameraEng) as suggested in Post 5 by K1nsey6. Camera installs but shows a black screen.
2. Then I download the Pixel 7 Pro config as suggested in Post 9 above by K1nsey6. I imported the config from within Camera app but it still shows a black screen and crashes.
3. I then changed the phone model to Pixel 6 Pro as suggested by jericho246 in Post 15. Still no joy - black screen and crashes right after I tap to Video.
4. Also enabled Additional Settings in Modules. Still no joy - a black screen in all modes and crashes.
Tried to select other profiles available in the Config - all are crashing.
Tried to clear cache but no joy.
All in all, the camera is not working.
Am I doing something wrong?

Is there any option to force portrait mode not to zoom by default in GCAM?

i dont see any difference in this with the config and the normal gcam app quality wise.

latest 8.6 v10 from BSG with the xml posted above works great so far on my P7P.
Coming from a P6P with MWP gcam I was really disappointed by the stock Google camera processing on my P7P.
