Sim Card Crashes Phone! - Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Questions & Answers

Hi! As fast I insert the simcard into the phone, it goes black screen and unresponsive. After 7 seconds, the screen goes on for 2 seconds and off again. In other words, looping. I never had this problem untill now. It worked yesterday till I ejected the sim. When inserting, the problem came. No updates done. Running MIUI 11.0.13 Global.
I've true putting it into airplane mode. As fast I turn that off, when the phone tries to register on the network, screen goes black. Anyone got this problem?
I will unlock and install MIUI EU on Friday. I hope that will solve EVERY problem this beautiful smartphone has.

After some more research, seems to be "Find Device Closed Unexpectedly" be the problem. Many users that updated their MIUI got this problem. Reflash should be the key. Still want to wait to unblock bootloader tho.

Never ever did I turn off my smartphones to change simcards. But good to know. A reflash should fix it right?

But maybe it's better to turn off the phone just to be safe. But no one does that I know

[Q] How can I fix camera and sim card problems with HTC M8 Verizon

I dropped my Htc One M8 by accident, it wasnt a big fall (actually, it was too simple ), but still the phone screen wont stop blinkin, it does not recognize the sim card and the camera is not working.
The screen is like crazy, blinking and with a bunch of colors and black out as well.
I tested removing the sim card and the micro SD, but still no luck.
The only way I can stop the screen from blinking is turning the airplane mode on. Which is very strange. I don't know what is that the airplane mode is turning off that is keeping the screen from blinking and bringing it back to normal.
I updated the phone to lolipop, but that didn't solved the issue. I also did a repair provided by verizon with the same results.
The only thing I havent tried is a factory reset, but I wanted to see if there are any other options before I proceed.
The phone is not rooted, by the way.
I would like to hear your suggestions, thanks.

Power button doesn't turn on device unless you reseat battery

Hello geniuses!
I have a problem. I recently purchased a LG G3 unlocked from a seller on Swappa and the device appears to work however there is a funny glitch i recently discovered about this phone. Maybe its mine only. But heres what happens....
I boot into phone like normal, after a days use, and sometimes when preparing to switch cases and what not, i shut down the phone remove battery and clean the device sometimes.. I notice that if the phone is ON, and when i choose Reboot, The phone reboots fine. But if i choose POWER OFF.
The phone powers off, and when i try to boot it back up again, it doesnt let me, it just stays blank.. But the second i take out the battery, place it back in, and then push the power button once, it powers on fine.. What on earth is happening here?..... any idea? Please help.

have you found any solution for this problem?
I am experiencing same

Phone does not power fully becuase it thinks it has no battery.

I have a Idol 3 6045, and the weirdest thing keeps happening. For some odd reason, whenever i try to turn it on, i get to the alcatel screen, then the phone thinks it has no battery and shuts off, when in fact, the battery is full.
I have tried the following to no avail:
reflashing via mobile upgrade q
draining the battery completely and then leaving it plug in over night to recharge
wiping cache via recovery
factory reset
Also, when the phone has some battery, and is plugged in, it goes into bootloop cycle where the phone turns on, goes to the battery symbol screen and then turns off, over and over again. I know the batter can hold a charge, so i am confused as to why the phone just turns off during the boot process thinking its dead.
Any ideas? btw, the phone is sadly bootlocked and does not have a custom recovery.

Bump, my sons phone is doing the exact same thing. I managed to take it apart and when I hold the battery connection it boots fine. I put some thick tape on it to maintain pressure and reassembled and it worked for a few days but is now doing the same thing again. Anyone else have any ideas?

Its been awhile since this post, but I've recently encountered this issue. May I ask how fast was the RMA process? How often does the finetw site update your RMA process once they receive your phone?

Sure. The model you're looking for is OT6045i. I don't think it matters the variant OT6045i should cover them all (assuming you have the 5.5 inch Idol 3) For your date code just leave it blank. Go through those steps and print the RMA sheet they give you in the end. After printing I wrote the purchase date in the date code slot( probably doesn't matter) . Once you have your sheet just ship that RMA sheet with your phone to the address the give you. I believe it's in Richardson, Texas

No problem brother. They were pretty decent to deal with. Best of luck to you. Also may I ask when you purchased your device? Me and another gentlemen believe that there's a ad batch of Idol 3's out there as three of us with the issue purchased them at about the same time.

I bought my phone used a month after the release. The original owner says he bought it in the month of June, and I bought it on July the 22th.

Hmmm odd. That falls completely out of line of what I've observed. I made the observation that many of the devices with this issue were purchased in December 2015. Guess it's been an issue the lifespan of the phone

Broken Lenovo. Don't know how to fix it.

Hello,
I have Lenovo K920 Air China ROM version with Kit Kat. Everything worked fine but one day I lose sim cards. I mean sim cards weren't detected and WiFi was 'Switching On' I mean blinking. Phone is constantly restarting by itself. I've done several factory resets, take out the battery and flashed phone. but nothing helped. Flashing went OK and I've got new ROM.
Phone is restarting after few minutes. I can not switch on WiFi and sim cards are not detected. Do you have any solution for that?
Thank you!

One plus 6 shows no sim & WIFI doesn't get recognized

Suddenly my One plus 6 shows no sim & WIFI doesn't get recognized. Tried clearing the cache & rebooting. Also tried resetting the system settings. now cannot switch on phone as no sim or wifi is detected. Phone get stuck when its searching for wifi ((

[Expose Oneplus] SERIOUS ISSUE !One plus 6 shows no sim & WIFI doesn't Work

Phone is not rooted
Bootloader is locked
Phone is running on stock rom
the phone freezes turns off and on by itself every minute until the battery is dead
sim cards dont work and dont get detected
wifi doesnt work when turning on turns itself off instantly
sometimes it goes away, the phone works like it never happend for a couple of days, then it doesnt work again
One plus is a fraud company its hardware gives up after 1 year,,,this is bul****
Hey dude
Well strange i would contact oneplus about this should be under warranty there's no point in asking on the xda if you haven't even unlocked bootloader and clearly you aren't a user that like to fiddle with things
Cheers hope oneplus support will help you
Mine op6 works fine have it till launch no issues so i guess its stupid to call company a fraud, there's always chance that the smartphone or any electronic device will fail overtime that why you have warranty
I have posted my query here because few years back when i was using HTC ,i faced an issue and when the service centre gave up and returned my phone unfixed, one senior member from xda helped me to revive my phone and certainly that guy made my day for which i shall be forever thankful to xda forum
P.S : I am Sorry if i have hurt you in any way , i am just fed up not able to find any solution yet
I am just here trying my luck and hoping to find another life saver, Cheers ?
I've got the exact same problem. Op folks told me it's a hardware issue and they might have to replace the motherboard. But I really don't trust them
Its pretty much a hardware problem. I had the exact same problem with my OnePlus 3. I went to the official OnePlus service centre and they told me the same (to get the motherboard changed). I don't think it's worth to change the either motherboard.
I got the network IC repaired for half the price from some local mobile repair shop. See if you can do the same.
I have OP 6T and this issue started right after one of the updates, as the phone asked to reboot after an update. So, right after that update phone took 10-15 minutes to boot. Couple of days ago the was another Google Security Fix update, and that killed everything. No SIM cards, no wifi hardware... I tried fresh install, which stucks at - Wiping, Please wait. I tried to unbrick it, and I was able to reinstall official android, but still not wifi or mobile networking. they are just gone. - Does not like a hardware issue to me...
Turn off phone, remove SIM, turn on phone with no SIM, turn off, then plug in SIM and reboot again.
Most likely it's the Network IC, very common issue
You can try all the SW things first just to be safe but if nothing works then it's all that's left.
I have found a workaround which has worked 100% during last 7-8 times this issue happened. Once the no sim and wifi detect issue happens, switch off the phone, plug it into charging, let it charge in switch off mode for 2 mins and then switch it on with charging on.
It sounds like jump starting but somehow it works. Seems like network IC or something gets reset. Keeping my op6 for now with this workaround!

I too had a similar problem after getting my touch and screen replaced at OnePlus service center , while returning they told me that it's motherboard is also faulted and will work for few months at max and after I started getting the same problem as sim card not being detected and wifi unabled , but I got a temporary fix for it. The problem still persist.
The solution to this is while the phone is loading just slap the screen with palm strongly just don't break the screen , slap it repeatedly until you are asked to put the unlock code.

It's a temporary solution as the problem is in your motherboard, i even had my IC changed but nothing helped. This is the only solution, it keeps happening twice a week or even more.
