Screen Guards which allow fingerprint scanning and SPen pressure sensitivity - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite Accessories

https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0848QZ355/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_i_QiPrEbJNMXEYV
Used this screen guard on my Note 10 Lite. After application and ensuring no bubble anywhere near the finger print scanner switched it in.
At the first shot it did not read the prints. However after deleting the stored prints and registering them once again they worked well.
A little extra pressure was required for a good read.
Pressure sensitivity for the SPen was also Ok
Only issue is that it's not an edge to edge screen guard. However I'm ok with it as does not snag onto the edges of the case when taking the phone out for cleaning.

Any case you have ordered for it

Can you write all the way to the edge of the screen? I saw one report that with Samsung Notes app this wasn't possible.

No a small bit gets left out. However while naturally writing it's not noticible but while sketching sometimes there is a drop off as you reach the edge of the screen guard..

I use this one : perfect, no difference with or without !

The "official" Book Cover a lot of us are waiting for has magnets in it too. So I'm guessing it's not the magnet itself but where it's hitting your Note.
I just took a small neodymium magnet (very strong) and ran it over the entire front, back and around the edges of my Note 10 and nada. Didn't wake it up. It did, however, stick to the speaker magnets.

Does anyone know what technology is used in that screen protector. We can try to make our own if we new that.
The Navigation bar will move to the bottom bezel after you deactivate and close it in the Settings, while the upper bezel corners will activate certain apps like camera etc.. when swiped.

They have some inivisible wiring done in that screen protector. the touch on protector's buttons translates to simultaneous touches in certain areas of device. These simultaneous touches can be used to trigger home, back or whatever function huawei has coded in.

There is one thing. The p8 is global with there bands, can be be used any where, has full huawei support from the main site, and since all that is the case the p8 and the p8 maxx would be there flag ships and get the accessories before any of the other phone will even hope to get them. Thats why I am hoping that a china company makes a cheap version of it and I will bet money they will. The way they are sell these phones. They just have to get rid of a few more screen protectors first, they don't want to get stuck with them if everyone move on over to touchplus protectors. I'd pay 30 to 40 bucks for one.
How does this even work? How does the phone know you pressed buttons off the screen?
I love the idea of more screen real estate!

The software on the phone ( see the Touchplus under your settings ) simply monitors if a signal happened at x location.
Under the touchplus protector there is a micro thin wire going from the front ( where you see the buttons ) to the back ( that touches your screen ).
As you press the button, you create a electric contact with your skin's electricity field, this signal is send to the back of your protector, to the phone where the software picks up this signal on that exact location.
And because the signal is send using a thin wire, its impossible to mistake this with a finger press because our fingers our huge so the location of the electric field is way more massive.

That is pretty impressive to say the least!
I hate on screen buttons as they take away screen real estate. I will definitely be picking one of these up whenever they are available!
I wonder why they didn't just put the buttons down at the bottom of the phone in the first place?

Did you check to see if there is software update available? T-Mobile version has an update which indicates improvements to the fingerprint, camera, touch screen and so on.
Got it to work! For some reason it doesn't like that finger...
I just got an update for my unlocked version
After update I still have trouble with the sensor. After the fold debacle I'm unsure as to weather or not the clear film on the screen should come off. Those with fp working, have you removed that film?

Works fine here with the film. Set the same fingerprint up a few times, and once you get used to how hard/where to touch it, it works fine in my experience.
Mine's working fine. In fact, it's working much better than it did on my S10+ - that was really hit or miss.

Thanks all. I'm just too used to the light touch / swipe options on the traditional (now obsolete) rear finger print sensor. Retraining required but all good now.
I'm using One hand operation+ with gesture to lock phone. It is Samsung own software so you can use fingerprint to unlock your phone.

This may sound weird, but the other day i replaced the original screen protector that was applied on the phone from factory and applied a new TPU film screen protector, since then the fingerprint scanner has been working perfectly each time. Just a tap like how the Youtube reviewers have mentioned, Never have i ran into "press harder" error message since then.
At first I thought the in-display fingerprint reader was the perfect solution. On my unlocked from Samsung U.S. Note 10+ the fingerprint unlock is very finicky. Of course I removed the plastic screen protector immediately. So the glass display is naked.
If anything will make me take a hammer to this phone and smash it into a pile of pulverized dust it will be the fingerprint unlock. It seems to work best in humid environments. If I were to need to unlock my phone in a hurry (Samsung Pay, boarding a plane), I would enter the pin never fingerprint. This is sad because I was and still am somewhat in love with the Note 10. The fingerprint unlock is driving me to loathe this thing.

Fingerprint sensor friendly screen protectors?

Hi,
I just mounted a cheap one bundled with a cover I bought and the fingerprint sensor became near unusable, failing to read like 4/5 of the times... not surprised, I just wanted to start using the phone ASAP before buying a better screen protector.
So, do you have some brand/model that you experienced working good using the fingerprint reader?
Thanks in advance.
P.S.
I noticed that some kits also have an extra glass for the rear cam, it's my first time with such a thick cam so not sure how effective is the protection from the cover only or if the extra glass are 100% needed, what's your advice?

Did you take off the film screen protector that comes pre installed?
The screen protector in using (will say which if interested) works fine 80 percent of the time right away, but sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries.

2) Go in "3-dots" menu > Additional tools"
3) Find "fod fingerprint calibration"

BTW: i use a screen protector from PKILA (Amazon) without any kind of trouble!
it's a little smaller than the screen because i need more space for the spigen bumper.

Maybe I did something wrong?
Have you deleted your registrated fingerprints first?
Have you rebooted? Re calibrate it again.
At a other forum somebody else has tried this procedure with a sheet of black and a sheet of white paper.
I have not tried this procedure because my sensor is working well.

Just fitted ******* screen protector with great results and finger print reader working fine
Couldn't be happier
mine works fine with a cheap aliexpress screen protector. i did get one that just covers the screen, cause i use a case them anti choc ones with big corner bumper i love them, fit great and gives a lip at the front so the screen doesnt hit first.
but after the install u need to remove all finger prints at reput them.
works fine but i still hate underscreen ones... when ever my fingers are dry or dirty it wont do anything.. while real finger prints always work even with greas or oil on my fingers still unlocks....

Nope everything is fine. Only issue is finding a screen protected that would fit perfectly. Most are slightly to big, leaving a air bubble every time you close next to every edges and will leave a line across the screen which never go away. I bought over 20 screen protector used about now 9 found what fit now and line goes away.
