while I play with my girlfriend smart cover with my note 10.1
i find out while screen off ,if take out the s-pen will be screen on
and accidentally find that, when the magnet touch the area which hide the s-pen,will make it screen on
I'm thinking of how to make it work with opening the cover, and a question, would it break the function of the spen

I'm guessing you're in Asia. The Book Cover isn't being released in the EU and US until later this month so I doubt there will be a lot of people that can help you.

The "official" Book Cover a lot of us are waiting for has magnets in it too. So I'm guessing it's not the magnet itself but where it's hitting your Note.
I just took a small neodymium magnet (very strong) and ran it over the entire front, back and around the edges of my Note 10 and nada. Didn't wake it up. It did, however, stick to the speaker magnets.

Was you S-pen in its slot at the time? If so, maybe take it out then try again, just to see what happens?

Finding accessories for the epic is a PITA but you expect that with a new release.
So went searching today for accessories that work well together and will protect the phone.
Sorry no pictures - Forum Restricted due to new user.
- First the Invisible Shield - It covers the FULL screen including the touch buttons at the bottom. There are openings for the camera and the sensors.
Screen Clarity? - Excellent IMO - There really was no change except for the feel of the screen which now helps with the sensitivity.
Sprint Hard Plastic Case (RED)- Covers the phone fully and will work until Boxwave comes out with the Gel case for the Epic.
Leather Case - Went by Best Buy Mobile in the mall and came across Eddie Bauer Leather case for $24.95. Fit the phone perfect with the Hard Case Cover. The interior of the case is a nice soft plush material ( I think ). And I have to admit I like the design.
All together the phone is fully protected and should last.
I would've bought the Invisible shield but I want back and front parts. Since right now I bought the home dock and it doesn't work with the case on (Not surprised). So I decided I would return the Sprint Black Cover (19.99) and wait for Zagg to come up with the Back and Front Package.

I was about to return the dock for the same thing until I realized how easy the back of the case comes off. So anytime I want to use the dock, I just remove the back of the case. The full body was said to be out this month but not sure.

The back cover of this cover is NOT easy to take off AT ALL. I even cut my finger doing it. Either that or I need some instructions. I bought the one that has a rubberized feel. Black with a weird texture on the back.

(Screen Facing you ) - I always release the top left corner first then release the top right corner, You will need to bend them a tiny bit since it will hang on the battery cover but once you get a hang of it - takes only a second.

How do you do that? The screen is blocking the little clips that are holding the back cover.

Just slide the screen up to get the top left and there it enough of a lip for you to get the top right part. Practice a couple times and a thumb nail is helpful.

lol, if anything use the Hard Case until a Decent gel case comes out like the Boxwave crystal slip.
Hey, I've done extensive searching on Google and these forums, something that is always left out is ABOUT GLUE.
I had a broken Nexus S screen and I changed my screen on the phone with a new one bought on eBay, the new screen works flawlessly but the OEM screen has a sort of adhesive tape that would make it adhere to the phone frame. And usually, all instructions for removing the screen talks about using some kind of a heat gun to make the glue loose.
Well the problem is that the new screens don't have this adhesive, I was wondering if anyone can suggest a kind of glue that would do the job for attaching the new screen to the phone. Right now as it is, the screen is only held in place to my phone by the wire which connects it to the phone's circuitboard.
on a german forum i've read a users experience... he used regular "super-glue" that you can buy everywhere. the one that makes your fingers stick in like 4-5 seconds.
he put little spots of glue everywhere the screen touches the plastic and quickly pushed the screen onto it. seems legit if you ask me - the screen doesnt weigh that much after all.

That is ideally what I would really like to do instead of dealing with adhesive strips and then cutting the pieces to fit. I live in Germany now and the electronic store here said you can absolutely not use superglue and suggested instead that I used double-sided tape you buy from a photo store (Doppelseitiges, dünnes Klebeband).
What is the name of this 'super-glue' in Germany?

What if it broke again? I doubt you would be able to remove it if super glue it's used

You're probably right but if it breaks again I'll just write off the phone as fully depreciated in my head.
Was the replacement one of these:

or was it a full unit that go over $100?
Hello,
i bought a flip cover for my Galaxy Note 8.0.
When i open it, the screen goes on as expected. However when is turned all the way to the back of the Note, the screen goes off!
It seems that also the back camera has a sensor and understands when i do this the screen should turn off.
Any suggestions to fix this?
is this and official case? if not then i'd suspect either you have one with too strong a magnet, an unshielded magnet or both.

hello,
no it is not the official case, so probably this is what you indicated.
Is there a way to stop the tablet from recognizing the case totally?
so far the only way is to cut out the magnet until someone figures out how to disable it. you'll most likely need root to do so.

thanks, any idea where exactly is this magnet?
i believe it's inside near where the case meets the edge of the device. run a magnet around it to verify the exact spot.
hi ..just got my note 12.2 from pc world .. was actually undercutting amazon so couldn't resist
anyway ... the bottom of the screen about 3 inches in when you try to draw a straight line you get a curved line and in two directions so its almost forming a circle of some kind .. ive just tested my stylus and my girlfriends edge sylus and mine of my note and it is doing the same thing .. however when you use your finger the curving of the lines does not happen ... so its obviously stylus related at this point of the screen only
has anyone run into this problem and do they know how to fix it .... or do i need to take this tablet back to the retailer as faulty ?? does something need to be calibrated ?? i havent seen an option to calibrate
picture attached of what its doing
Are you're using a case that has a magnet? If the answer is yes, take it off.
The Spen uses a magnetic sensor. Anything with a magnet in it will interfere with the pen.

Thank you for your information on that one .. i take exposure would not cause any permanent damage as lots of cases are magnetic ??
of course thats annoying as i bought the case to protect the note .. from possible drop damage and now i cant really use it much when drawing on the note now ... this one has a bluetooth keyboard so was quite nice from amazon
anyway thanks a lot there my girlfriend and i were panicking .. lol
the magnets are a top flap magnet to keep the case shut with the keyboard and i think one at the back that holds the back stand in place
What case is it exactly?

While using Google's Duo with the wife on top of a 10 foot ladder, the screen kept going off randomly. Long story short, when phone is held in portrait, and the bottom left area comes in close proximity of a magnet (like one on top of some ladders) the screen will turn on or turn off. What accessory would take advantage of this function?

The official HTC case has the magnet in it, albeit it's tiny and weak so doesn't always work.

I actually ordered some .3mm thick magnets (e.g. razor thin) and works great and can tape/insert/whatever to any flip case.

It does but that slot doesn't go down far enough by default. You can coerce it to open further and then slide magnet down, yes.

I noticed this with my new Nexus 6 and tested it with a small refrigerator magnet. The sensitive spot is in the center about 5.5 cm below the top (approximately opposite the "M" logo. The phone goes to sleep when I place the magnet, but it awakens on its own after random times between 10 and 20 seconds. I wonder if this is why the cases that used this feature apparently have been discontinued. I had become used to the automatic control of my old Samsung Note 4 using the official Samsung case, and it would be nice if this would work on the Nexus.
