hi ..just got my note 12.2 from pc world .. was actually undercutting amazon so couldn't resist
anyway ... the bottom of the screen about 3 inches in when you try to draw a straight line you get a curved line and in two directions so its almost forming a circle of some kind .. ive just tested my stylus and my girlfriends edge sylus and mine of my note and it is doing the same thing .. however when you use your finger the curving of the lines does not happen ... so its obviously stylus related at this point of the screen only
has anyone run into this problem and do they know how to fix it .... or do i need to take this tablet back to the retailer as faulty ?? does something need to be calibrated ?? i havent seen an option to calibrate
picture attached of what its doing
Are you're using a case that has a magnet? If the answer is yes, take it off.
The Spen uses a magnetic sensor. Anything with a magnet in it will interfere with the pen.

Thank you for your information on that one .. i take exposure would not cause any permanent damage as lots of cases are magnetic ??
of course thats annoying as i bought the case to protect the note .. from possible drop damage and now i cant really use it much when drawing on the note now ... this one has a bluetooth keyboard so was quite nice from amazon
anyway thanks a lot there my girlfriend and i were panicking .. lol
the magnets are a top flap magnet to keep the case shut with the keyboard and i think one at the back that holds the back stand in place
What case is it exactly?

Hello to you all...
I'm using a lot my phone while I work. But I have to work with my protective gloves on or any time I want to use the phone must take off the gloves. Which can be a real hassle. So, my question is: how can I use the touch screen with my gloves on. Tried the method from the touchpad (the one with the '-' polarity), thinking that should be same principle of work but not working. The dedicated pen - for capacitive screens not working also cause it needs contact with skin.
On instructables.con I found some things but I can't find - well I can but it's impossible for me to buy some conductive thread.
Anyone got any idea?

You can buy a glove meant for touch screen access like used during winter season.
You could also just cut a small hole on the tip of one of your gloved fingers. <-- I have done this.
Ohh...stupid me never thought about it...

Can't buy cause I must use safety gloves, that I change at least twice a day. But your idea of cutting a small hole... genius. Never thought about it. Thanks.
while I play with my girlfriend smart cover with my note 10.1
i find out while screen off ,if take out the s-pen will be screen on
and accidentally find that, when the magnet touch the area which hide the s-pen,will make it screen on
I'm thinking of how to make it work with opening the cover, and a question, would it break the function of the spen

I'm guessing you're in Asia. The Book Cover isn't being released in the EU and US until later this month so I doubt there will be a lot of people that can help you.

The "official" Book Cover a lot of us are waiting for has magnets in it too. So I'm guessing it's not the magnet itself but where it's hitting your Note.
I just took a small neodymium magnet (very strong) and ran it over the entire front, back and around the edges of my Note 10 and nada. Didn't wake it up. It did, however, stick to the speaker magnets.

Was you S-pen in its slot at the time? If so, maybe take it out then try again, just to see what happens?
hey all,
I bought a cover with a magnet to hold the flap when the cover closed.
now the question is, will it affects the screen or damage anything in the tab?

it might or might not affect the screen but it will definitely affect the Galaxy Tab 7.7's magnetic sensors/internal compass

affects it as a damaging effect, or just when i remove the cover it will work normal again?
and i'm talking on the long period of usage the cover.
most covers in the market nowdays uses magnetic flap to close the cover as i think

Affect as in it will affect its operation, it cannot tell the which direction is north since there is a magnet near it.
As for damage concerns, maybe you can ask Samsung support regarding and share their response to us :fingers-crossed:
One thing to look at is that I have never seen an official Samsung case with a magnetic latch.
I've discovered that Samsung itself made some pouches with magnet on it
I have a magnetic flap for about a month now and it didn't damage the device Nor the screen, but it definitely affects the compass.

Does anyone get this problem s pen isn't working in this area. the line is stopped in that area and continuous after it .
Sorry for my bad English
are you by any chance using a cover with any magnets on it?
That tends to really ruin the S-pen usability...
Thank you When i get it out from the cover it works proberly , so the magnetic cover has a bad effect on it .
Is that effect could be permanent ? Or it just happens when I put it on the cover .

Used to have a magnet case for my 10.1 but changed it because i never want to take it out
Dear all,
I can't for the sake of me, remove the back cover of my white N5; I know there is glue at the bottom, but my issue is the middle clips on both sides (at the level of the U of NexUs), they just won't move! I tried gentle / shaky movements, then harder and harder to the point that I damaged the cover by deforming the border;
I use classic blue plastic pry openers and I even broke one! At this point if I try harder I will just tear the cover or break something!
I've seen like 5 videos on youtube and for each the clips on the side aren't any more difficult than the others; however I could only find videos of black N5s, could it be that the white is different?
Can someone share his experience with a white one?
This just drives me crazy, attached is a picture showing the problem and the damage as well

Yeah why are you trying to remove it? Just to prove you can? Looks like you just ruined your devece from what i can see. Hope it was worth it.
thats what u get for trying to open it
∆∆∆∆this. Can I have some of the money that y'all apparently just have lying around for these stunts?

You can order a new battery cover on ebay
Sent from this crappy Nexus 5
My white one came off fine, I used a butter knife. Just be careful with it, and use some force. Also the factory cover has the IMEI on the inside.
I will try harder I guess...
For those unhelpful posts that wonder why I do this, I ordered a spare speaker to try this mod, I would ever have needed to open it if it was not featuring the crappiest phone speaker I ever heard on a mobile or smartphone.
And the back case is just plastic which is quite flexible, the only damage is the border not the fact that it appears bended on the picture, and I don't care much of its aspect when I have a case for it... I am just afraid to break something inside the phone...
Its just a cover, worst case you break the cover. Everything else is pretty much protected behind a cover in there aside from the battery.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Finally got in,
my mistake was to attempt to 'pry open' it, i.e. to put a lifting pressure on the cover;
The two clips in the middle are definitely stiffer, and the way to open it is to actually push really hard directly on the clips with lateral pressure towards the inside of the phone (towards the nexus logo).
The glue is piece of cake
