that would be really interesting

I have been looking and can't find it no where.

I've also searched the entire net but can't find it nowhere.

Does anyone know what technology is used in that screen protector. We can try to make our own if we new that.

The Navigation bar will move to the bottom bezel after you deactivate and close it in the Settings, while the upper bezel corners will activate certain apps like camera etc.. when swiped.

They have some inivisible wiring done in that screen protector. the touch on protector's buttons translates to simultaneous touches in certain areas of device. These simultaneous touches can be used to trigger home, back or whatever function huawei has coded in.

There is one thing. The p8 is global with there bands, can be be used any where, has full huawei support from the main site, and since all that is the case the p8 and the p8 maxx would be there flag ships and get the accessories before any of the other phone will even hope to get them. Thats why I am hoping that a china company makes a cheap version of it and I will bet money they will. The way they are sell these phones. They just have to get rid of a few more screen protectors first, they don't want to get stuck with them if everyone move on over to touchplus protectors. I'd pay 30 to 40 bucks for one.

How does this even work? How does the phone know you pressed buttons off the screen?
I love the idea of more screen real estate!

The software on the phone ( see the Touchplus under your settings ) simply monitors if a signal happened at x location.
Under the touchplus protector there is a micro thin wire going from the front ( where you see the buttons ) to the back ( that touches your screen ).
As you press the button, you create a electric contact with your skin's electricity field, this signal is send to the back of your protector, to the phone where the software picks up this signal on that exact location.
And because the signal is send using a thin wire, its impossible to mistake this with a finger press because our fingers our huge so the location of the electric field is way more massive.

That is pretty impressive to say the least!
I hate on screen buttons as they take away screen real estate. I will definitely be picking one of these up whenever they are available!
I wonder why they didn't just put the buttons down at the bottom of the phone in the first place?

I'm guessing you're in Asia. The Book Cover isn't being released in the EU and US until later this month so I doubt there will be a lot of people that can help you.

The "official" Book Cover a lot of us are waiting for has magnets in it too. So I'm guessing it's not the magnet itself but where it's hitting your Note.
I just took a small neodymium magnet (very strong) and ran it over the entire front, back and around the edges of my Note 10 and nada. Didn't wake it up. It did, however, stick to the speaker magnets.

Was you S-pen in its slot at the time? If so, maybe take it out then try again, just to see what happens?

Screen Protector Template/Stencil

Hi,
I don't want to use Gear 2 without a screen protector. So I ordered one from ebay.
But I live in Turkey and it will take 3 weeks for the protector to arrive. Meanwhile, I want to cut out a screen protector for myself from my unused S3 screen protectors.
I need a screen template to print for easy cut out of the protector.
How/where can I find one ?
Thanks.
I'd appreciate any ideas...
Have someone hold the Gear or if you can figure out a way to hold it in place this would work too.
Take a piece of printer paper.
Take a traditional pencil ( not mechanical ).
Put the piece of paper over the watch face and hold the pencil at a sharp angle ( to use the side of the lead not the tip ) and go back and fourth over the face of the watch.
This will leave you with a outline of the edge of the screen.
Cut this out and now you have a template to make your own screen protector!
If you don't understand let me know and I'll try to take some pictures.

I think I understand you but this is a very rough way of getting a template. If I cut this out, I will have a slightly bigger screenprotector. It will not be very nice.
That's why I was looking for an official (or semi amateur) drwaing.

You just need to cut a little smaller than the outline. Believe me anything that is hand cut isn't going to be perfect anyways...

Mediapad X2 Smart cover modifications

Hello!
I have bought a "smart" cover case with a little window in the upper right corner. When opened/closed it triggers a little home screen with a clock and a camera button. I cant find which the application is to provide that screen, i there are any settings. Is someone aware of this?
I'm currently running KangVip Ultra slim B112 and this functionality is present there.
Regards,
+1
It would be really intersting to know...

I believe the functionality is provided by /system/priv-app/Keyguard.apk
I also have the mediapad x2 with this "smartcase". how does this case trigger the clock "window" thing? is there a small magnet or rfid embedded in the case?? problem i'm having is when I fold the cover/flap behind the phone so that I can hold and use my phone, it keeps randomly trying to switch back and forth from the clock screen and then back to whatever I was doing. it seems to be triggered by proximity and alignment of the case's front flap... again though' the problem I have is the phone can somehow sense it from the back too which forces me to have to constantly keep like a one inch gap between the flap and phone body while using. I would prefer to not have the window thing at all vs. having this annoying problem. I also would just buy a different case if there were more options. but theres not even a knock-off otter box for this phone... just this wacky flap case and the super cheapo basic crap.. I would be very interested in how to turn off the clock thing permanently while keeping this case

Side-Touch LR buttons

Does who have the Mate 30 pro, how is the usage of the Side-Touch LR buttons with a screen protector attached? Does it work?
Works fine. I have Huawei fitted protector that curls around and have no problems left or right.

I also had one fitted at the Huawei store from which I bought the phone, and had no problems....except it cracked. I replaced it with another protector and it also worked fine...except it also cracked, oddly in exactly the same place, about 2cm below the top right corner. I wonder if it is because of some way I store it, or perhaps the gap between the screen protector and the case, which I also have fitted, it too narrow, so that when the case hits something slightly, it bends the screen.....just a guess. Anyway, the cracks weren't major and I'm leaving this one until it grows too big. My 2nd screen came in a pack of two, so I have another one ready
I have to wonder, though, if it is all worth it...

Question Anyone else bothered by the unfortunate front camera hole placement?

I mean for general usage - it's not a big hindrance, but for gaming - it's a different matter all together specially for FPS(First person shooter). I always find my thumb getting stuck in the screen protector's punch hole for the front camera.

Most of the reputable TG's in Amazon US have a punch hole in the camera area... Sad case of mine...
I'm not fond of the camera being "on" the screen either. Like I get it looks cool but functionally speaking it's kind of obtrusive. When phone screens didn't go past the camera they were more practical and you could cover it up for privacy. Now you can't do that as placing tape will make the screen think you're touching it. I can't seem to find a practical way at covering it up without making the screen bug out.
This is my first new phone in 6 years and tbh I don't buy this "borderless" look phones have these days. I also miss having a physical home screen button.
The hole on my N10+ doesn't bother me... much. I use it Energy Ring there for a battery % indicator.
For games I flip the phone 180° if the hole is being a menace.
Meh, it's better than a lame Apple hump and I wuv the near zero borders... on my phone that is

Anyway: usually glass screen protector for Samsung Galaxy A80 does not have a hole, are easy to find and are cheap. And they fit Poco X3 really well! Search for 3D or 9D for A80.

I would have opted for an ROG Phone to avoid the stupid punch hole theme altogether but I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too poor to afford the latest one

Yeah I flip the phone too so that the stupid punch hole is on the right side of the screen on landscape orientation.
