New as in?
Also please stop providing the pit files. Many people use wron files and mess the device!
Odin gets the pit mapping from the device itself.!

The new version has MD5 Check, avoids many problems we have with previous versions.
A PIT files will change the names to avoid confusion, no need to use them.
Greetings!
Thanks

Aaah, what?!
It is really useful for me now. I tried to port rom and there was Internal Storage error and so I tried to format Internal SD card with Terminal Emulator and reboot. Then my phone can't boot, can't got into recovery mode. I tried to flash JB via Odin and failed with showing "Pit file not found". So I used these Pit files and flashed that only. Now,it is OK. Thanks
Don't work download

Trying to change CSC, but I'm getting error?!

Hey guys.
Still haven't rooted my phone and still using the ****ty stock 4.1.2.
Today I've tried to change my CSC from Bulgaria to Germany and flash 4.2.2 via OTA, but when i type *#272*(IMEI CODE)# to change the CSC, I'm getting error that says
Connection problem or invalid MMI code

Read a topic about putting an "," after # but still didn't worked.
Any other solutions how to fix this error?
P.S - I've tried CSC Changer app for Samsung from Playstore but it requires root for our type of firmware.
QUICK QUESTION: Can I flash official 4.2.2 Germany ROM via ODIN without rooting my phone and will this action increase my binary counter? Thanks!
Yes you can flash german firmware with odin without root. And i think it will not increase your binary counter. But maybe another member knows for sure?

*#272*IMEI# doesnt work on jellybean.
no need for rooting to flash stock.
any official stuffs flashed with odin will not increase the binary counter.
you may need a factory reset after flashing if the product code didnt change to DBT
Okay I just flashed 4.2.2 Germany (first rom released) with odin but I'm stuck in bootloop ?!
I did everything like it shoud be! What shoud I do now?!
EDIT:
Oh, sorry. It was my fault. Hard reset and fashed it again and now everything works perfect. Thank you all, now I have 4.2.2 ))

You can flash any 920F firmware. Country does not matter. I think your issue is not with the firmware. Are you on the newest version of Odin? I have 3.10.6 and that works fine.
I have AP:G920FXXU1AOD4 CP:G920FXXU1AOD4 CSC:G920FOJV1AOD4 and tried to flash another firmware G920FXXU1AOCW to try got my SPO2 sensor to work however this ended up soft bricking my phone. I had to use KIES to reset my phone. I am using the latest ODIN however it fails on the hidden.img.
I do not want to root my phone to fix this issue.
So in short my experience is no. Others probably have had better success.

1. try to flash the "G920FXXU1AODG_G920FVFG1AOD1_G920FXXU1AODC_HOME.tar" in the tread with Odin
2. when Odin fails on "hidden.img" download the "my recovery" file thats in the tread(the file provided from dehnhaide) and flash it with odin then your good to go.
follow the rest of the steps with smartswitch afterwards
good luck

What exactly are you hoping to achieve with flashing the firmware?
if its not to solve a specific issue then stick with the firmware you have.

Maybe the bootloader in what you are flashing is older than your current bootloader and it's blocking it from flashing, you can't downgrade bootloader on most Samsung devices that have Android 4.3 or newer.
Or maybe you need to flash your stock kernel by itself and then flash the complete firmware.

Download your stock firmware then extract the kernel from it, then flash the extracted kernel. You're looking for the zimage.

You will have to convert the kernel to a .tar or .tar.md5 to flash it with Odin, flash it in the AP slot.
