Hi,
Did you try settings/apps/all ?
search at titanium for chuck norris mode or at super user for an option to deactivate it
Gesendet von meinem LG-P990
deleted... wrong froum sorry
if you're running ICS you can go into manage apps (options on the app draw), all, find super user and disable. if you reflash an updated rom again in the future you'll need to open superSU again and update the binary (akin to when you first installed it) to re-enable root access
I have a G930F and installed TWRP + rooted with no issues. I can run rooted apps off of it as well like Titanium, Greenify, CF.Lumen, etc...
Although when I try the Root Explorer in ES File Manager, it keeps on telling me "Sorry test failed. This feature cannot run on your device". It doesn't look like it's even asking for root permissions. I tried different combinations of installing/uninstalling/rebooting and they don't seem to help. Any thoughts on what to do next?
Or if this is unfixable, any suggestions on what other file manager to use? Features I'm looking for include:
- Standard search/sort/filter/copy/cut/paste/delete
- Root Explorer
- FTP/SFTP support
- Configurable shortcuts/favorites
Thanks

I'd suggest solid explorer, very similar to es explorer but none of the app scanning and permissions crap that's recently been introduced in es.
Or just thinking out loud, would it be possible to add it to SuperSU's list without it requesting for access?

I used to have an HTC M7 with the ARHD rom, and the rom came with it by default so I got used to it. I have to admit that there are some things I wish it would do that it doesn't. But I would say about 90% of what I need is available there.
But since I am starting fresh with a new phone, I'm open to suggestions if you have another root file explorer in mind. Pretty much the only thing outside of the standard functions that I need is sftp support, so I can copy/paste files to/from my mac.

Amaze or Solid Explorer is good. ES used to be good but it turned the way of Cheetah Mobile apps and started adding useless **** to their app.

lol yeah all of those sd card analysis and home page and stuff that I don't even use. I tried Solid Explorer, that thing looks nice. no extra fluff and just has what I'm looking for for a file manager
Do you guys know of any other file managers that allows for editing the DateModified? I know Total Commander has one, but I'm not digging their interface.

Go to /proc/config/wifi_mac/ and open the "ascii" file with a text editor that has root permission. Your WiFi Mac is on the left, your Bluetooth Mac is on the right. They are separated by commas. Change it, save it, reboot, profit. I suggest backing this file up, as there is no way to get it back.

If you're properly rooted, then its probably selinux. Try setting it to permissive. The command in terminal is "setenforce 0" no quotes. Try editing it after that. You can verify you're in permissive by checking the about phone section in settings. This works for me on LOS14.1 and stock 6.0.1.
Edit: Just checked, I can't directly copy the ASCII file with selinux in permissive, however, I can edit and save it though, and also copy the text in it, and paste it to a new text file.

The su add-on has a problem being seen by rootexplorer. Flash either SuperSU 2.79 or magisk 12.0+. It will fix it. It's fine to flash over the su add-on. Never hurt anything in my experience. Also, don't forget to set selinux to permissive. Magisk has a permissive selinux module here on xda if you go with them.

Did you get a root prompt from magisk and also put selinux in permissive mode? If you use magisk you also have to install magisk manager. I can't imagine what the problem could be otherwise. I've used this method on two different ospreys without any issues.

Hello.
First of all, here is my device:
Code:
Samsung Galaxy S7
Model: SM-G930F
ROM: [URL="https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/rom-ryzen-rom-v1-0-t3667900"]Aspiration S8 Port V1.0[/URL]
Root: SuperSU
After I installed this ROM (with xPosed), I wanted to set up Snapchat. When logging in, I get the error some people receive when they got a rooted phone. I did a lot of research and found three methods:
Uninstall xPosed (via recovery), restart, install Snapchat, login, reinstall xPosed - DID NOT WORK
Create a Backup using Bluestacks 2.5 and B.S-Helper - DID NOT WORK, I COULD NOT EVEN LOGIN INTO SNAPCHAT WITHOUT ROOT ON BS
Using the function "Hide Magisk"
As you see, the first two options won't work. So my question is, how do I change my root from SuperSU to Magisk? And will this option work for sure with Snapchat? As I am very frustrated and sad, I would be honored if anybody would give me a tip.
Sincerely
Vesanius
EDIT: For all those, who got the same issue, I would like to let you know that the third method works. You have to uninstall Snapchat, uninstall xPosed (incl. modules), install the ROM again without wiping any data and choosing Magick instead of SuperSU, install Snapchat, login and then install xPosed. I hope that helps some of you folks.

You could have used a third party app (Like Root Switch) to hide your root without re-flashing your ROM or switching to Magisk

The DocumentsUI module controls access to specific files for components that handle document permissions such as attaching a file to an email. This module is updatable, meaning it can receive updates to functionality outside of the normal Android release cycle.

You have to root for this
1. Install any root browser (x-plorer , cx file manager etc.
2. open /system/priv-app/DocumentsUIGoogle
3.copy all apk files to any internel storage folder
4. Install all these apk files at once using any split apk installer ( Recommended -com.smartpack.packagemanager )
download link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartpack.packagemanager
5.Reboot
Note :- if you are unable to find these apk files then use attached files
