Hi,
Did you try settings/apps/all ?
search at titanium for chuck norris mode or at super user for an option to deactivate it

if you're running ICS you can go into manage apps (options on the app draw), all, find super user and disable. if you reflash an updated rom again in the future you'll need to open superSU again and update the binary (akin to when you first installed it) to re-enable root access

Install SuperSU from the Play Store, grant it root access, then delete SuperUser using a file browser. Or you can try flashing the SuperSU zip from the official xda thread and it should replace SuperUser automatically.
I haven't noticed a difference between the two. Used both on various ROMs for a decent amount of time. AFAIK, they are only there to handle root permissions for apps. That said, never had a problem with either.
I was wondering if anyone knows why I my tablet won't root, does the paranoid android rom have a special root file, cause I tried with my regular root file and it says before I reboot that the root needs to be fix, why is that?
does anyone know how to solve this problem? pm me on [email protected]

This room has a built-in superuser so yes, it's rooted. But since the superuser is built-in you won't see any superuser app. If you don't like it then you can disable it and use any superuser app, otherwise don't bother cuz it works anyway...

First, install your own superuser, but don't disable the built-in one. Launch your superuser, let him update its binaries if needed, and let him get superuser permissions from the built-in superuser.
Here you go, now you can disable the built-in superuser and use your one.
I did it this way and it worked, so it should be the same for you.
But for now if your superusers are messed just flash again the rom, wipe dalvik and cache and start fresh.
Good luck!

I have some questions about root.. I have searched for the questions below but i didn't get my answer.
1. Uninstallation of superuser cannot effect to the root? (Just confirming)
2. After uninstalling superuser will i be able to install more root needed apps? apps data will automatically install in their respective place just without any superuser permission..????
3. After unrooting phone root needed apps (which are installed) will work fine or not? and will i be able to uninstall those root apps?
Answer me plz..
Thank You.

1. Uninstalling of superuser with clean Unroot will Remove Root Binary from System and will effect Root, as without SU app you cant play with Root..
2. No, You Can't.
3. No they won't Function. You can uninstall Root apps if they are in System Folder other you will be able to uninstall.

But tell me one more thing what superuser does.. i think superuser app only gives the permission to the root apps to install something in root area.. right? superuser app work is just to allow or deny the permission to the app right..?
So if i don't unroot my phone and if i just simply remove superuser app then i still should be able to install root apps in the root? because my phone is rooted.. and i have just removed superuser app which gives permission only.
I think superuser only gives the permission to the app SO apps will be intall in the root just without any permission of superuser?? this is what superuser does ONLY?
I think i am misunderstanding something about superuser.. Correct me please if i am wrong.. :good:

Yes,
It gives permissions to access, modify your Root area[Restricted when you are Non-Rooted].
No,
Removing SU app will remove permissions with It. So after that you cant use those Rooted app which you gave Permissions when u had SU App.
Note:- Without any SU app you can't Play your System Files..
nor your rooted apps will work..

S4 mk2 i337 soft bricked...
This is the link I started dealing with:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565758
Problem is, I uninstalled a system file or two...or 15...and now the phone will start up, but no apps show up, just black screen. I can navigate still and work around it, but what i CAN'T do is give permission to that batch file once it recognizes the phone.
Obviously, I didn't know what I was doing, so I didn't realize that unrooting it wouldn't solve the problem, so I need to root, and then somehow get my system files back in place. Titanium Backup says my back up doesn't exist...pretty frustrated, I've spent 10+ hours on this site and some others trying to get back in, so I apologize upfront for possibly missing a post elsewhere

first of all, i want to replace kinguser with supersu that is why i flashed a supersu via twrp. now i want to remove kinguser completely from my device.
i tried using system app remover(root) but it says uninstall failed, i tried going to /system/app/kinguser.apk and delete yet it says operation not permitted. i tried the usual method, settings>apps>kinguser click uninstall and it says system app cannot be uninstalled.
i am wondering if i can uninstall this kinguser thing via adb?
i appreciate anyone who will help me uninstall this app.

There's an app on the playstore called "Super-Sume". It was designed for that purpose
Open kingroot. go to general settings > uninstall kingroot.
That's it.
Still can't unroot my phone
Is this still active..?
I have kingroot installed. I hear thatto people have kinguser too, but i cant find that on my phone. I want to unroot my phone but when I hit unroot in the kingroot app, it says failed to unroot everytime..
Can somebody help me uninstall kingroot and unroot my phone?
Is there maybe a way to manual unroot my phone if that makes sense?
Thanks

With Kingroot you can uninstall bloatware and so kinguser normally...
Sur your SuperSu have root access great before ? one time have the same prob, i used Titanium Backup to uninstall it x)
You can find all file and delete manually too but don't forget in each case to clean by twrp ou cmw the dalvik cache and others if needs.

Do a Google search for:
"Return to stock (your model number)"
You'll have to flash the stock firmware if it is available to the public. Root the device again and then try using the Supersu-me app to convert to SuperSU.
If the stock firmware isn't available, try using adb to remove kingroot.

my phone is 100% rooted and has the latest su binary installed.
most of root apps work fine but recently i have faced problems with two apps which are Psiphon and Tasker.
-When i tick "force root tunnel" in psiphon, it says "root mode is not supported for this version of android" and confirmation box of superuser didnt show at all.
(force root tunnel means tunneling the device without using the built-in VPN service API like in android 2.3)
-Tasker does not request for su permission when force kill (root access) is checked.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Have you tried usinf phh Superuser instead of SU to see if that makes a difference ? Flashing the latest phh superuser will also remove the su apk for you as well
Good Luck

I solved it.
installing phh needed the latest version of twrp (3.0.2)
after a successfull flash of the zip package (superuser.zip), I lost root access and the old superuser app from chainfire was deleted.
Can you tell me how to install phh step by step?

Do you not have the new superuser app anywhere it should be there. Try installing the app from play store and see

The problem is due to missing Tun module which is not available for my device. Galaxy core prime comes with a preloaded Tun module in the kernel and it's not replacable nor compatible with Psiphon.
Old VPN clients do not depend on the built in VPN service API but require a custom Tun module to perform the tunnel in root mode.
As for the tasker, a recommended modification on the build.prop fixed the issue.
Thanks anyway.
