Guys and gals, men and gentle-ladies, can anyone help me find a solution?
Check out this video I've put-up to send to OnePlus support, but they've very slow in responding.

Not able to get to fastboot (vol+ and power). phone only boots into stock recovery. adb sideload works. installed stock cm11s via that the installation was successful but rebooting the phone takes me back to Stock Recovery (CyanogenMod Simple Recovery). This is a defect and OnePlus should be replacing my phone but, they are being very slow to respond, so I'm looking here for alternative solutions. It's a beautiful phone, but it just doesn't work

I never had such an issue so wait until more savvy people chimes in. Anyways it is really strange
hope so
Hmm. Not getting into fastboot is weird indeed..
Did you try another recovery? Did you try to adb reboot into booloader (fastboot)? Maybe the volume up button is not working..
Actually it looks like I may be in fastboot, but fastboot devices doesn't show anything. I tried the ColorOS install method in this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/wrong-kernel-black-screen-fastboot-adb-t2835696 and looks like I've installed ColorOS, but instead of my previous problem, now I am stuck with a ColorOS Recovery Bootloop

For latest TWRP recovery, check here to choose the correct recovery and download
en.miui.com/thread-169401-1-1.html
Note: after download, replace your latest TWRP .img to overwrite the recovery.img
Flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 and then flashed super su 2.46. Successfully rooted. Works like a charm.

Try another way here, for entering twrp.
After you flashed the recovery successfully. Do not type the command of "fastboot reboot".
On your phone, press and hold the POWER and UP VOLUME buttons together until you enter the TWRP recovery. (It will power off and boot up recovery)
Note: Do not let it boot to normal system startup. This this case, you need to reflash the recovery via fastboot and follow the steps above again.
After you have root the phone successfully, you can enter the TWRP recovery without flashing via fastboot already.
Hope above help you.

Edit
What you said works, however there is a problem.
The touchscreen doesn't recognise any touches.
Edit
It's working now. That was weird

If the touches screen doesn't work, It might be the TWRP recovery issue. You can try flash other version to solve the problem.
Anyway, great to know everything works for you now.
I've this issue.
TWRP is installed but:
- if I boot via [power]+[vol+] I enter in old stock recovery
- if I boot via fastboot using command "fastboot boot recovery.img", TWRP is loaded correctly

Yes very first time after I flashed and entered the TWRP recovery successfully, I need to wait for few minutes and the touchscreen only start working.
Then I have flashed a few other versions of TWRP, I have forgotten which one I have flashed already, my TWRP recovery works immediately without any touchscreen issue.
Is twrp available from flashify?

HI Guys
I bought one chinese mi4 last year on china, I was there, and yes it's is original.
The problem is that I cant install google play, because is blocked. SO I need to upgrade the ROM.
My UPDATER app is not working, when i tried use this to update, when I chose the file, the updater close, so I cant use.
I tryed to update by recovery, but when I click update update file.zip on system one, the phone reboots. tryied CUStom rom, developer rom, global rom. etc...
SO i read a loot of forums and try to install another recovery by fastboot , like CWM, It's not working because i am no root in my device
tryied by adb fastboot and by mi flash, not working " 'recovery' not support flash"
I rooted with kingoo root, but same problem.
So I cant update, can´t install new recovery, I cant install a developer room to root.
I really need help, I tryed everything that i know, checked a lot of foruns, but alone I cant solve this.
I need help please, I fell my xiomi it's completely blocked...
If you download the official rom from miui.com you can flash it with original recovery or you could try the fastboot flash package without using any recovery.
Flashing a custom recovery do not require rooted rom.
To get to fastboot use the command "adb reboot bootloader" then flash your custom recovery. CWM is outdated (i might be wrong) but twrp recovery is much better, just google twrp and download the one for cancro.
If any of those above is not working for you then it might be fake.

No I cant.
when I choose update.zip on system one on recovery menu, I dont get the menu to update, and click yes, just by clicking on the "update.zip on system one" the phone restarts.
I think I need a way to remove a recovery by hand, as low level I think.
fastboot always fails..... and shows a mgs as this "recovery does not suport flash"

Have you tried downloading the fastboot flash package? Download the Global Developer rom for MI4 from the link i've provided and put your device into fastboot then run one of the *.bat file if you are on windows. Before that make sure fastboot detect your device by "fastboot devices".
I do not know any other ways to flash recovery. Maybe others can help you with that.

Hi,
Last month I've successfully switched my Oneplus One 16Gb to official Oxygen OS 2.1.4
Finaly I prefer the Cyanogen version and here I have a problem with the recovery tool.
I can't replace OxygenOS recovery at all and with it : not possible to install "super su" or cyanogen 12.1 rom.
With adb the installation of TWRP recovery or or cm12.1 recovery seems to work fine (transfer ok and no errors) but when I restart in recovery mode ((power + volume down) It's still OxygenOS Recovery in my phone.
Please help, I don't want to be stuck in this state :crying:

download the latest COS12.1.1 factory image to your pc, boot into fastboot mode and install the factory image via fastboot (flash aboot FIRST and do a "fastboot reboot bootloader" before you flash the rest ).
After that (or during, just replace recovery.img) you may install any custom recovery
Gesendet von meinem A0001 mit Tapatalk
Yes :good:
You brought me on the right track
I have successfully applied this method.
I nearly lost my phone because I had a power outage during the recovery but finally all is fine : I am back on COS 12.1.1 :victory:
A big thank-you

Yes I am trying to flash TWRP
However, when I follow the below mentioned steps this is what i end up with :
List of devices attached
dc1c2a16 unauthorized
C:\Program Files (x86)\ClockworkMod\Universal Adb Driver>adb devices
List of devices attached
dc1c2a16 device
C:\Program Files (x86)\ClockworkMod\Universal Adb Driver>adb reboot bootloader
C:\Program Files (x86)\ClockworkMod\Universal Adb Driver>fastboot devices
C:\Program Files (x86)\ClockworkMod\Universal Adb Driver>fastboot oem unlock
< waiting for device >
And on the device screen it just reads "Fastboot mode"
So I kind of have the same problem but not exactly, I flashed the oxygen os and it worked perfectly but I wanted to change it to a nugget based rom and realized that I can not even boot into recovery. it gets stuck on the first oneplus logo that comes up and will not boot into the twrp. Any suggestions?
wait, so ur phone can't boot into the rom? or stuck at the fastboot mode everytime u try to turn on the phone ? I'm having that problem too, but I reinstall all the driver, and it worked.

Solution to below problem found in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/rom-stock-fastboot-roms-oneplus-7-pro-t3931424
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I tried to root my OnePlus 7 Pro, somehow managed to get it stuck in fastboot. No matter what I flash or do to reboot, it just boots back into fastboot.
Normally I'd just flash stock recovery / ROM found on OnePlus' website, but they haven't added anything for OnePlus 7 (Pro) yet.
Anyone got any clue about this?

You have to get the original boot image and recovery image flash the boot image make sure the phone is in fast boot mode it's the same flashing sequence for the Oppo 10x zoom
