Hi, I have a oneplus 7 pro GM-1910. I'm in UAE, abu dhabi. My screen is slightly cracked as I dropped it today. I would like to know how much would it cost to replace the screen and if I send it to service center how much long and price would it take. Will it be as good as new or opens will be present as the local repairs technician does?

Dear All,
I would like to ask you for help. I’m new user to HTC Pro 7 and I encountered problem which I caused by myself. In fourth day of using the phone I dropped it to the ground. It works but it’s external esthetic if far from being perfect what makes me feel uncomfortable. The worse thing are scratches on the chrome screen surrounding. I brought it to the HTC’s service center to make cover replacement for which I will pay. The initial pricing was favourable – something like 50$ (parts+service) but then I received more detailed cost calculation of 150$! That’s ridiculous price taking into account that I bought it in Expansys for 290 euro.
My question is – is it really so complicated to replace this chrome screen surrounding? The price suggests that the LCD screen is probably necessary to be replaced. Really strange.
Thank you and kind regards,
Max
My N5 has a cracked screen (just the outer glass -- not the screen itself) and at my age I no longer have the eyesight, dexterity, or patience to do the repair myself. So I am looking at taking it to a repair shop and expect a sizable charge to replace the screen.
So if it's going to cost close to $200 for the repair, maybe I should just order a new one. Mine is a 32Gb, but I would be just as happy with a 16Gb model for $350 (I only got the 32Gb because that was what was still in stock on release day). I could then sell my cracked N5 to someone who could do the repair on the cheap and either have themselves a very nice phone or could resell it.
What could I get for a white 32Gb N5 with cracked front glass? $100? Maybe $150?
Searching around Ebay it looks like people are getting $150-180 for the 32GB model with a cracked screen. Just the screen seems to cost $130-$150, but I would take it to the repair shop and see what they would charge before making a decision.
What country are you in? Look for an LG repair store, they will do it for around $110 if I am not mistaking.

The only convenient repair shop wants $225, so I'll just go ahead and order a new one and then see what I can get for the cracked one.
Call LG I'm sure they will charge less than 200.
Supposedly lg charge 150 believe
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app

$225 is crazy, surely an official LG centre will charge less

Must be REALLY convenient.
With the price of the Nexus 5, I think the cost of the repair is almost pointless...
Even if you don't quite break even with selling the broken one on eBay, you'll have a brand new device with a full warranty and one that wasn't dropped, opened and reassembled. I think you've made the right choice!

Yeah, I didn't realize that having a phone with a cracked screen is actually considered "cool" in some circles, so the ones going on eBay will probably not be repaired. This will work out OK for me and I'll end up with a new phone as you said.
Repair it !!

Authorized and official Lg service center will charge you $150 or less for repairing it.Call Lg help desk once before you are making your decision.
Hey guys I just broke my screen a couple days ago. Looking into prices, stores have told me I'll have to pay around $160 to get it fixed.
Well after searching on eBay I found an LCD for $5 and the touch digitizer for like $80. My touchscreen still works so could I just buy the LCD and fix it myself?? And save like 150 dollars?

Possible? Yes.
Likely to be successful? Not at all.
The LCD and glass is fused to the entire front panel. Attempting to replace ONLY the screen/glass is near impossible unless you're a professional, and you're likely to break the digitizer/other components, or it just won't work properly/at all after you're done. What they're (and also LG if you go to them instead) charging you for a repair (around $160) is just about what a new front panel will cost. You're wasting your time trying to replace only the screen/glass.
Also, for US users who bought their device from the Play Store, Google will replace a damaged screen for free, once. I don't know if this applies to any other country as of yet, but it's worth a shot giving them a call.

I was worried that the digitizer is fused to the LCD. Just as a question is it possible for a professional to replace only the LCD? My family member is a professional phone repair guy but he lives in the middle East, I could send it to him...
As for sending it to google, I got the phone from best buy and google only replaces those bought from the play store

Yeah it's possible but not really worth the effort in my opinion. Most of the time when you send a Nexus 5 in for screen repair, they'll just replace the front panel anyways.
Hey guys,
I have unfortunately managed to crack my U12+ screen during the first month of use, and since there is a general lack of spares online, I decided to send it for repair to the official european HTC service (CTDI Regenersis in Poland). They are asking for a bit over 300 Euros to repair the screen.
I would like to ask if someone has any experience on the same repair from the same service. Yes, I have heard the horror stories and I have also read the trustpilot reviews, but I would really like to have some personal insight. I am confortable in paying the service fee, as long as they return my phone with the same pristine condition I sent it in. I have used the official service in the past (red camera tint on the M7) and they made a poor job in reassembling the phone (screen gaps, sticky buttons, and my device returned with more scratches compared to what it had before), but I do not remember if it was the very same company in Poland.
Given the build of the device (glass edge all around) I think that I am not the only one in need of screen repair through the official service, so I hope that someone could share his/her experience. Do you think its a good idea? Or should I just go for a new device alltogether? (the U12+ can be found new for around 470 Euros)
Thanks in advance.
I am in United States (Atlanta), I needed a screen repair and could not get any reply from HTC after several emails, there is no phone contact listed that I could find.
I located a national repair service provider (Cellaris) that repaired the screen for 250USD (233 Euros). They had to order the screen from Korea, it took about 3 weeks to arrive. The repair was very well done and looks factory original. Cellaris stores are not "official" HTC service stores, but they seem to be very experienced in all cell phone repairs. The stores are located in malls, shopping centers, and in many Wal-Mart stores.
So to answer your question, if you find a good, experienced store, the repair should be like new.
Hi,
Attention anyway independent repairer! Europe (Belgium) HTCU11 replacement screen low sensitivity no longer worked. 300 €
-Back problem of sound and poorly glued screen! back to the repairman
-Repair 2, its ok trace of glue on the edges! After 15 days the edge of the screen degrades small cracks !!
I still think the HTC service is more likely to be better !!
I had a HTC10 internal platinum replacement and no problems, work done very well.
Hi there,
I have the transparent backed 10th Anniversary edition Mi 10 Ultra. I recently cracked the glass on the rear camera and got a replacement. One of my local phone repairers fixed it, but presumably by heating and removing from the back (rather than tearing it down). A closer inspection showed that the new glass was not flush, and excessive heat has melted the rear cover.... Since then the glass has cracked again anyway!
So, now I have the rear cover and glass camera parts ready to be changed out, but am only going to take it to a reputable repairer. therefore hoping someone can give me some recommendations. I am in Ashford, Kent. Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Mark
I mailed Xiaomi support, but no reply yet. I just found this link https://www.mi.com/uk/service/support/materialprice.html
But not sure how to actually move forward with a repair (assuming they would take an imported phone...)
They actually replied with the name of the service centre, details below:
SBE Limited
It states on this web site that they do walk in out of warranty repairs, so have mailed them to see if this is correct.....
Just to update SBE Limited in Ashford will only service in warranty Xiaomi phones sold with EE contracts..... They definitely do not accept out of warranty walk ins....
Hi,
I think I had the same issue. Made a repair on a local repair shop in France and now the battery is a bit thicker. I think you should not heat the back of a Mi 10 Ultra.
This is not a good design from Xiaomi :/
