I was wondering if there was a way to completely restore the device to its original state, with spay and spass working, knox, store letting you use credit cards etc. I imagine not, but I'd like to be sure.
Not e-fuses, which trigger Knox 0x1.
Just flash a stock image with Odin, best you're gonna get.
Also, wrong section.
Once you trip the knox there is absolutely no way to go back, You have tripped the E-Fuse,
the only way is buy a new samsung phone.
In old times when knox used to be software only it could be reverted back using custom kernels
now that it is implemented into hardware there is no way back.

Sorry about the section/category. Is knox responsible for not allowing credit cards to be used on the Samsung store too? Or can I somehow bring that back?

Yes, some banks allow access with knox tripped because of the way the security is configured in their apps and some don't.
Once knox is tripped it's game over with most "pay" services.

Where are my manners, welcome to the forum.
You may want to read up about the process and also the repercussions of rooting. Have you ever Jailbroken an iPhone? Well rooting is the same thing for Android. It will give you access to the root filesystem and will allow you to edit system files to do stuff like, disable the splash screen on boot among other things. If this is all new to you your in for quite a read.
One thing about rooting the Note 3 is it will trip knox, which in turn will void your warranty. You may be lucky and have a model which can be rooted using RDLV, a method which doesn't trip knox and thus preserves your warranty. Knox is a fairly new thing from Samsung, which is designed to provide "advanced data and privacy protection". It is irreversible(at this point in time) and so you will have to weigh up what is more important, root or warranty.

I have heard people say to use Flashify, but what needs to be done to the 5.1.1 rom in order for this to work? Do we wait for someone to deodex the rom or...?

Wait.
Am I wrong for saying this? As I have heard no one else mention it, but.
Unroot, upgrade with Smart Switch, reroot when able to on 5.1.1.

Whats the best way to root a Galaxy J7 from tmobile USA, model SM-J700T?
I thought I would have this j7 rooted already myself.
Ran into fastboot issues like in the V10 forums after mm update. Seems fastboot oem unlock is disabled yet you can click to unlock in developers? Kinda of pisses me off about that. Everyone blamed LG for that but now I see a 2nd T-Mobile phone with same issue.

Yeah the J7 is good for the price without all the bells and whistles. I am seriously thinking of returning it for a refund and getting a Note 5.
I can understand that. I didn't get a note partly because since i want to remove as much samsung software as possible, it makes the s-pen almost unusable therefore a waste of the extra money. Also, i am little impressed with this device for the money. Had it been only 1-1 1/2 gig of ram like the other models I'd pass on it.

The only reason I"m returning this phone is because it lacks an LED notification light. If it had it I would really keep it.

Ive searched the forums, and google, and cant seem to find a clear answer as to what I will lose when I trip the fuse. I just got a new(used) Galaxy S6, and the bloatware is driving me crazy. From what I understand knox is for protecting corporate data, by separating it from your personal data, now that tells me that I would need a app to make use of it, and it just basically isolates accounts/apps from each other, but Ive read I will lose the pay function also, does that include all NFC pay methods, or just samsung?
Also are there custom roms that support using the fingerprint unlock?
Samsung Pay will not work (although I hear Magisk can help with that). Other pay services may or may not work. If your company permits BYOD, they likely won't if Knox is tripped.
Fingerprint functionality is directly related to the kernel; so, if the ROM uses a stock kernel, Fingerprint should work. XtreStoLite, for example, has a working scanner.

Thank you, this is a personal phone, so I have no employer to worry about.
I know I can 'debloat' without root, but that just hides the icons from my understanding, I want the junk gone.
It disables the apps, which in turn hides the icons. There's zero performance difference between disabling, and removing. They'll take up space in the read-only /system partition, but you'll never, ever use the space if they're removed.

Uh, no. There are scripts that use the "pm disable" command via ADB. Totally free.

Gatesjunior made a great debloat tool. Here's a link, using the Note 7 as an example. There are safe-to-debloat lists for most phones, including the S6.

Just for information: Magisk won't help if your knox is already tripped.
If I unroot the phone using Odin(flashing stock AP) will I be able to use Samsung pay again?
If not what would I need to do so I can use it again?
